A few minutes after leaving the alley, Arthur soon arrived at the hotel.
When he went up to his room, even from the door, a humming noise, like an airplane engine turning on, could be heard.
'What the –' Arthur found the sound very strange, but he knew more or less what to expect.
As soon as he opened the door, he saw the reason for the noise. Thomas, who was at the computer desk, was typing with incredible speed, many times faster than usual.
The cluster fans were spinning like crazy and the coolers were barely supporting the increasing temperature of the processors.
On the giant monitor in front of Thomas, numerous codes appeared and things Arthur didn't know. The screen appeared to be split into many pieces and code "boxes" in each part with many codes that Thomas was putting.
Thomas, who appeared to be extremely focused, didn't even notice that Arthur was behind him. Unlike Thomas's usual childish eyes, he now had a much more mature and analytical look in his eyes.
'He is very sweaty, but I have the feeling that I shouldn't take that concentration off him now.' With his high perception, Arthur could see that he was dealing with a difficult situation. So difficult that it required all the concentration of his being.
'It must be something involving the freelance jobs from before. Anyway, i'll just ask later.'
Arthur was helpless to help Thomas. Arthur had the ability to help Thomas if he knew the same things, but unfortunately Arthur wasn't very interested in computers.
In fact, before entering this busy life, Arthur didn't have any kind of hobby or passion that he was good at or could practice.
It was only when he started to fight that a new and unprecedented emotion surged through him. This contagious thrill of getting stronger and learning to fight was increasingly taking root in his heart. This is also one of the reasons he endures the pain and fatigue of training.
Of course, if Arthur wanted, with his intelligence status, to be on the same level as Thomas would not be so difficult, and he knew it. The only difference would be in the learning speed. While it might take him a few weeks to learn something about it, it might take Thomas a few days.
He knew that Thomas had a special connection with computers, tech gadgets and the like. The speed at which his brain absorbs information about it is simply impossible to understand.
He looked like an old swordsman who had abandoned his sword but was forced to take it up again. Never learning, but remembering.
After letting go of that matter, having full confidence that Thomas could do what he was doing there.
Arthur grabbed a set of new exercise clothes and took them to the bathroom..

After undressing and getting completely naked, he exposed his body sculpted by the gods to the bathroom walls.
Just as Arthur thought, his body was reaching the limit of definition and growth. This logically does not mean a halt in strength growth. It was as if his body was just strengthening muscle fibers, not needing to increase them or get them bigger. There was no more fat to expend, so Arthur was very defined.
After waiting for the tub to fill with warm water, Arthur finally stepped into it.
'Now, let's have some fun.' The mere thought of starting to strengthen his techniques and equipment excited Arthur.
The first thing he did was use karma points in his techniques. If they were as good as they were, imagine if they got better.
When opening the stats panel, the Karma points were there: 300 Good Karma and 150 Bad Karma.
After looking around a bit, Arthur found an upgrade function and there was his equipment on display...but no technique.
'What? How so there is no technique here? But the explanation said clearly.' Believing that the system was deceiving him, Arthur began rummaging through. If there were saying that it could, then it has to!
But, his doubts didn't go very far when the system responded to him.
'What do you mean Supreme Level?' Still having his doubts, Arthur again asked the system. Even he was impressed when he did this, as the occasions when the system responded to him were rare.

...
'... It's... Definitely a great clarification...' The shock on Arthur's face made his emotions clear.
Shock, but not knowing that these levels of techniques existed, but knowing that he had something that could be called 'Divine'. And even your system couldn't handle them properly.
'There are two possible answers: Either I'm too weak and the system keeps up with my strength and knowledge, or I'd have to fortify my skills myself.'
His first theory was derived from the fact that any deep question he asked, the system would not answer him. But, there were basic things inside that could be deduced by intuition or the prior knowledge was already there (embedded in Arthur's mind when he obtained the technique or skill), and it was precisely these questions that the system answered him.
Just thinking about these things gave Arthur a headache. Besides being very difficult to obtain this knowledge, if not impossible, it would still be a long time before he could have it. It all felt so strange and he was even thinking he wasn't from this world. After all, he sure as hell wasn't human, according to the system.
'I have to swallow this urgency and do what I can now. But still, guarding these thoughts is hell.'
So, Arthur went to the second option of the upgrades: His equipment.
He currently had only the Gloves of Absorption and the newly obtained Dagger of Fenrir.
With a quick thought, the Dagger of Fenrir soon began to appear in his hands. Its structure gradually formed and, as if by magic, its pitch-black handle began to change shape to fit perfectly in Arthur's hands.
Its blade was 7 centimeters long and bone-white in color, with small red writings scattered on the dagger, giving the dagger a bloodthirsty and epic charm. Unlike normal, the edges were not completely smooth, one side being serrated and the other sharp.
After using the bathtub to confirm the piercing of the dagger, leaving a hole in it without any effort, Arthur's interest in the dagger was piqued.
'Since I have no practice with this type of weapon, I have no idea how to proceed. And its size doesn't help either, so it's going to be hard to find a way to use it.' Arthur thought as he tried to find a way.
While he didn't know how to use it properly, the dagger would be used as a surprise blow in a super close fight. It would take full advantage of its extremely deadly tip.

'Definitely great statuses! If I hit someone with this, he'll only survive by a miracle.'
After admiring the dagger some more, Arthur decided to put it away and take his gloves from the Inventory.
These gloves felt comfortable in his hand, as if it were an old friend and partner of many years.
Also, it suited Arthur's in-training fighting style.
Due to lack of interest or even talent, Arthur was not interested in using weapons or guns of any type, since his strikes and movements were being formed from short and medium distance Martial Arts, using the only the body.
He would logically not hesitate to use a gun if it helps to save time and effort on a small task.
Deciding that the gloves would be the first equipment he would improve on, Arthur began to analyze the effects.
Basically, each point of Karma would give 100 experience points for the equipment or technique. Furthermore, Supreme Level equipment and above would not be exempt from improvement, as the techniques were.
Only one type of point can be used on an equipment, be it Good or Bad. If a Good Karma point were used, the equipment would only accept this type of point, and so would the Bad Karma point.
Good Karma Points would give positive and beneficial effects to the user, such as vitality healing, energy absorption and other effects.
Intuitively, Bad Karma points give enemy-targeted destructive effects to the equipment. Bleeding, Blasting Impact, Shock and other effects. Such as the statuses on the Dagger of Fenrir.
After taking a good look at everything and making sure he was cool to begin with, a happy smile appeared on Arthur's face.
"Let's start the party!"
