Chapter 42 - Freak

While Snake watched his movements being copied, Arthur had already activated the 'Frenzy' ability again and was trying to understand the technique based on the sounds he heard. If he wanted to learn the technique completely, he would have to make Snake fight harder, even if it was dangerous.

Seeing all that, contrary to expectations, Snake became more excited and went after Arthur, making the same movements, but with much greater proficiency.

As soon as they collided, a battle of agility began to take place. Snake tried to stab and play strategies to deceive Arthur and make him die.

Arthur, on the other hand, copied and learned what Snake was doing. At one point in the fight he realized that there was no need to keep his eyes open, so he closed them and increased the power of his senses and instincts to the maximum. It was like the test of agility in the Mercenary Test, but often more difficult and dangerous.

The fight continued and Arthur increasingly dodged Snake's blows and stabs, even imitating his stabbing movements, but with his fists instead of knives. Arthur saw that it didn't work properly and tried to do some tests with it.

As soon as he got an opening, Arthur would throw a punch or kick with quick speed. His blows were getting faster and more decisive, like knives, just as the openings were appearing more and more.

Unlike the fight with Hedgehead, Arthur could not use defensive moves to subdue Snake, since he was faster than he, as well as using sharp knives to strike and not his own fists.

During the fight, his instincts became more refined, as well as his hearing and touch became stronger. Every move was being copied from Snake and brought into Arthur's strange flow technique.

And as the fights were different, where one involved brute force while the other involved fine control of the body, Arthur's control of the Force was becoming more precise and better, as he was using it all over the body at the same time, but in a smoother way than when he used to strike Hedgehead.

The fight was becoming more and more intense, while the audience was being driven to complete madness. It was completely unacceptable that Arthur was on the same level as Snake.

"This guy has already fought a lot, for sure. If he didn't fight around here, he must have a master somewhere. It's impossible for someone like that to exist. Nobody can learn to fight like that in just two fights!" Disbelief plastered on people's faces, doubts about the origin of Arthur's strength arose.

"No, no. He's clearly a rookie. His movements at the beginning of the fight with Hedgehead and Snake were not an act. He really learned to fight during that short period." The old man, who was silent until now, spoke again.

Many people who heard looked at Arthur in disbelief. If that were really true, then this boy was some kind of freak made to fight.

On stage, the fight was slowly starting to turn for Arthur. His movements were much better than at the beginning of the fight, and the opportunities for attack were much more frequent.

Snake, who felt this improvement, was scared, but soon started to get more excited and put more strength in his attacks, in addition to making them much faster.

"Did you really think that there was all I had, boy ?? You really are very innocent !!" As soon as he finished speaking, an invisible pressure began to be exhaled by Snake. This pressure was mixed with the hate and intent to kill that Snake felt for Arthur.

Sensing that he could be harmed by this, Arthur smiled slightly and released his own ability: 'Will'!

As these two invisible pressures began to collide, the battle became two-fold, physical and mental, as well as beginning to pose a danger to the audience close to the stage. The attendant who was close to the stage almost fainted with the force of the two pressures, but soon moved away to 100 meters, which is where it stopped having an effect.

As the battle ensued, Arthur's Will entered an intense battle against Snake's Murderous Intent, just as both were also in a deadly struggle.

Each step of Arthur should be carefully calculated, as it could be deduced by Snake and used for an attack.

As the battle went on, Arthur's Will, wisdom, accuracy, prediction and movements were intensively improved, as if he was no longer in a life-threatening fight, but in a crazy training method, where he was only there to learn .

More and more pressure fell on Snake's shoulders, while his arousal slowly subsided and a terror began to rise in his heart and was visible from the facial expressions he was making. He was getting into the same situation as Hedgehead.

As soon as he thought he should end the fight as quickly as possible, a surprise kick by Arthur sent him back to reality. As soon as he dodged that kick, he saw that Arthur jumped and launched a downward kick in his direction.

Thinking it was a normal kick, he simply threw himself back again, but something he didn't expect happened.

As soon as Arthur missed the kick, instead of landing and positioning himself to defend again, he actually took advantage of the centrifugal force of the kick and did a frontflip.

Snake did not understand correctly what had happened, as Arthur only seemed to do this to show himself to the public. It was too useless to be used in a fight.

But before he could think of anything else, he felt a liquid run down his face from his forehead. As soon as he tried to touch his forehead to see what the liquid was, his vision completely darkened. His body slowly fell forward and hit the floor like a sack of potatoes.

Immobile. That was how he stayed for 5 seconds until someone shouted, "Is he dead?"

The audience could not understand what had happened correctly, until they looked at Snake's forehead carefully.

A dark shaft came out of his forehead, while blood splashed and flowed like a river. The handle, like a cap, could barely hold all the blood that wanted to come out.

If everyone looked a little closer, it was possible to notice small marks on the dark handle. And at the top of the hilt, leaning against his forehead, was the guard of a knife.

It was a dagger!

Which dagger? That same little dagger that had disappeared at the beginning of the fight !!
