Nefertari needed time to heal as well. Heal just enough so that she wouldn't feel the pain that she was feeling right now. The pain of betrayal, and yet she felt that that would never compare to what her father felt – and still feels right now. She wondered how he was holding such composure in front of Ashkan like that. As if he had no relation whatsoever with what happened. As if he wasn't that man's son.
"It's alright," Akhenaton said with a smile, surprisingly he found it in him to smile at times like these – but it was his daughter that they were talking about here. Smiling to her has become an involuntary movement done by the memory that was engraved in his cheek's muscles. "We are almost done here."
