D. Chapter 03
*Loud Thunder sounds*
A red lightning struck in the distance. The sky there is filled with dark clouds and red lightning bolts. The loud thunder sounds sent shivers down my spine.
I looked around, those prostitutes were screaming in panic, running into the houses and hiding. The men enjoying themselves in the houses quickly came running onto the road to look at what's happening.
The people found places to hide from the blood rain. They started to discuss this weird phenomenon. No one knew what happened. Or how it happened!
A chilly demonic aura erupted from a faraway distance. Everyone in the street trembled as the demonic aura swept over them. I stood unaffected. This aura is nothing to me.
Everyone panicked and started running around. They are escaping.
I think my bad fate continues.
I started walking in the blood rain.
Not everyone in these night streets chooses to escape. I need to meet them.
I got to the front of a bar. It's closed. But I could hear some noises coming from the otherside of the door. It seems they are affected by what happened just now.
I knocked on the door.
Silence on the other side of the door.
Someone removed the curtain on the glass part of the door and checked.
I wiped my face with my hand.
"Fuck off", they closed the curtain.
I went to different places. Every one of them is closed. And I couldn't enter. Tch..
Looking into the distance from where the demonic aura swept I shook my head. I don't want to know about what happened at that place now. Tomorrow the whole city is going to talk about it. I can learn what happened then.
After cleaning myself with a spell, I ate a light meal in a corner of the street. The owner was a nice person. He used a special wood block with a rune carved on it to keep the blood stench away. And the air is fresh inside.
Even if you got used to the unreasonable environment in this city, who will enjoy their food in the stench of blood?
We might be worse than demons, but we are not demons.
I enjoyed the meal with a refreshing mood.
Then slowly I walked back to my room. I rested on the bed immediately.

A gloomy atmosphere surrounds a large area with the demon crystal as the centre.
Even from a distance the group heard the sound of the crystal cracking. Blood rain started to fall. A portal appeared at the place where the demon crystal floated.
The group escaped to the city as fast as they could and immediately notified everyone.
After the early investigations, now it seems there's a large portal door of several metres in the now gloomy forest. They estimate that it connects to a small demon world. No one dares to open the door knowing that it connects to a demon world. Even if it is a small world they can't take risks when it involves demons.
The officials in the city must have informed the capital. They must be waiting for the people from the capital.

I heard the people from the capital city entered our city through the portal. They met with some officials of the city and quickly went to investigate the portal door.

I accepted the task through the institution card. There's nothing to prepare. I have my bow maintained. I don't need to worry about arrows. I got a good stock in my storage space. The dagger and the knives are sharp. Immediately I made my way to the portal site.
As I reached the city gates, I received a message from an unexpected person. "Wait for me". That's what the message said. I chose to wait outside the city gates. This isn't the first time. I don't need to send a message about my location and he knows where I would wait.

Nagu relaxed and calmed down after seeing Hala waiting for him outside the city gates. He heard about the attack on Hala the day before. Since Hala was fine and seen walking freely in the city after the attack, he was sure Hala would be taking the latest task on the small demon world.
He asked Hala to wait for him. Hala will be waiting for him at the city gates.
As he walked towards Hala, Nagu took out his institution card and accepted the task on the small demon world.
Hala noticed the approaching Nagu. He waved his hand at him with a smile.
Nagu nodded. He reached Hala and said to him," Thanks for waiting. Let's pair up for this task."
Hala lightly laughed, "You really want to pair up with me?"
Nagu seriously replied," Yes."
Hala smiled and took out his institution card. He injected some magic energy into it. Nagu did the same and placed it on Hala's card. An identical symbol appeared on both of their cards.
"Let's go," Nagu said to Hala.
