Honestly, I fail to understand why we're being aimed as hostiles by many creatures.
I thought this world will be peaceful with Dragonia in control…

Marco leaves Drugo without a word and slammed shut the door. Drugo clenches his fists, "…Marco… grr… kh…" Drugo crushes the blanket covering most of his lower body. "Why…?!" he nearly shouted. "Damnations…! If only that time… grrrghh…." Drugo remembered the tragic incident long time ago that involves him and Marco.
Six years ago…
"Poor Marco… It happened when you're so little…
I and your parents along with a group of explorers were preparing to continue our journey inside a deep dark dungeon.
It was an extremely powerful force. It was led by the strongest and the greatest explorer, Rogers J. Istinggar. He was one of the most prodigious Lightning elementalist to date, having mastered a staggering Level 5 Lightning. A level that barely any human can reach, but Rogers... managed to break his limits and reached such heights. His wife, however... is a Level 6 in Healing Magic, a true Grand Healer class.
Initially, Rogers had planned to travel deeper into a legendary dungeon that we've previously scouted. He was very excited in that moment. Especially, this was the first major exploration expedition experience his child will have. That's true… it was you, Marco.
When everyone's preparing to go, he called me. He told me... he told me about a myth where an insanely powerful creature lived deep inside the dungeon. A dragon, he said. He planned to seek the dragon to satisfy his curiosity. He stated that if the dragon's acting hostile, he will no doubt slay it. At first all of us thought he was just plain joking, because that's his trait. Besides, the dungeon we were entering weren't filled with THAT type of monsters.
We were too naïve.
A few moments later, we finally departed to the depths of the dungeon, but five hours later, our road was split into two. We had no choice but to split into two groups. Your papa led the first group, while me the second one. He waved good luck to me and my group and left off separate ways.
After three days of delving deeper into the dungeon, suddenly an explorer from the first group came. He was terribly injured. I saw a big claw mark on his chest where his blood came out. The explorer shouted for an immediate help right away before crashing into the ground and died.
We diverted our movements to go back and head into Rogers' lane to aid his group. It took us half a day to find a quick path to Rogers' lane. That's when we're stumbled across a... dreadful sight.
Many explorers' body scattered on the path. All injured. All were dead. This terrifying sight made me even worried of Rogers, Rosa and of course, you, Marco…
We rushed quicker to find Rogers and his wife, until we came across a huge door. I told the group to force open it so I can go inside, but what did I see from getting inside...?
There's only one word to describe it all: Chaos.
I saw many gashing thunderstorm dances in that giant room. The squad led by me entered the room, trying to find Rogers and his family members. Rogers suddenly appeared just beside me. I was shocked that the strongest explorer emerged in terrible injury. His body lit up in lightning shocks, he was fighting something. He yelled at me for coming in here, saying that this big room was a trap.
He carried you with his arms firmly. He's trying to make sure that harm shall never come to you. I did ask him of where his wife be, but he remained silent. Suddenly, a gigantic dragon emerged from the smoke. I was scared shitless, no doubt. But Rogers remarkably stood his ground.
But… his decision proved to cost him his life.
He gave me his son and shouted at me to run back to the surface as fast as I can. I, who was already scared by the dreaded looking dragon monster, ran off with you on my arms along with other scared explorers. The rest remained by his side and fought with him.
In that very moment, was the last time I ever saw Rogers. He was an exceptional man, my leader, my mentor, my friend, my big brother, my family… what's more scarring my soul was in the moment I ran, Marco… you woke up from unconsciousness and the first thing you saw is a giant explosion from beyond the door I ran from.
Three days after the incident, I hoped that the dragon shall not attack us, but gladly the dragon has disappeared. We evacuated the dead from the dungeon, but unfortunately…
…Rogers J. Istinggar and Rosario J. Istinggar's body were never found. Ever since then, Marco… you were emitting a deadly fountain of insane vengeance, especially towards me. Little did you know, Marco…
I regret it. I should've died fighting along with them that day, together with you. But my cowardice denied my demise, letting me watch the tide of our clan turned. Honestly, I… I regretted leaving them behind.
There is no other dragon race aside from Dragonia. If there were dragons attacking us… that would be no other than them. This caused you into rage in lust for vengeance. Your benevolent dream of becoming the Greatest Explorer like your father has dissolved. You sang that dream of his every day, heard by many explorers, even me. But after the tragic incident, you suddenly changed.
You said that you're going out there to explore and find the Grand Altar. A feat that is already impossible, even for explorers like us. But I realized it years later, a little too late, perhaps, that you have sunk too deep in the sea of vengeance.
It is in your heart that you want to exterminate the Dragonians.
If only I died along with you and your parents… I might not need to see you become a two-faced retard.
The day where Marco lost his parents… was the darkest day of his life. Marco finally understood the reason why his father hates the dragon race, even calling them the bad guys. Eventually, the hate his father influenced him rose into a mortal hostility towards the Dragonians.

.
Present day…
"W-Wait, Marco, where are you going?" Nina quickly asked in the hallway. "Going outside for a moment, don't follow me."
"Huh… what's going on with him? Huh?! Sir Drugo!" Nina entered the room again with Aily. "Drugo, where did Marco want to go to?" Aily asked in worry. "What happened?" she asked in concern.
Drugo remained silent briefly. He slowly opens his jaw and about to talk. "Miss Nina… Miss Aily…" he called. "I can't stop him."
"Stop him? From what?" Nina asked. "From fulfilling his vengeance," Drugo replied short.
Nina and Aily were told the truth about Marco. Scias also heard the explanation, too, but he heard it via eavesdropping. Nina and Aily both could hardly believe that he would fall into such vengeful man.
Aily never thought he has the guts to do such thing, because she saw him smiling most of the time and even had time to joke on her and her sister.
"Please… accompany him. I cannot do anything to save him. It's very unlikely that retard would listen to me anymore. He might emit the sincerest smile ever, but he is too good in showing it. His inner soul is already tormented for years. I beg you… accompany him, please…
…Prevent him from facing Dragonia, especially Mastermind."
Scias and Nina answered almost simultaneously, "Of course. I will not let him fall into darkness!" Aily was amazed by the two. She began to think that Scias' was actually like her sister. Not long after that, Nina, Aily and Scias took their leave and looked for Marco.
…
"Miss Nina, Miss Aily… and Scias… please save him. I am a miserable man to let a vengeance live in a boy's heart. What's worse that I couldn't do anything to save him from it. No… I am not scared of his vengeful thoughts… I am far more concerned should he encounter one of many Dragonia…
…he will surely perish, should he keep up his will of vengeance."
