'So it really does rely on this worlds science.' She continued to explain how magic relies on science and how it is used. "Using this magic we can manipulate all sort of things like water, fire, space, ground or earth, light and more. These are what you would call elements. Of course there's a whole lot more and there are still some being discovered." She explained in a lazy tone.
"Does anyone have any questions?" She asked. After she asked Itsuki raised his hand. "What is your question?" She asked him as she pointed towards him. All the students turned to look at him. He stood up and asked his question. "How does the source magic stay in your body after the procedure?" He asked. "I thought your homeroom teachers explained this to you all." She said in an annoyed tone.
"We place the piece of Cigam over your heart and your heart absorbs it. Our theory is that after its absorbed it spreads throughout your body making significant changes including your mind. We also think that some people get certain abilities because of their personality and build." She explained.
"Does that answer your question?" She asked Itsuki. Itsuki nodded and sat down. 'So the ability you get is determined by your personality huh. I wonder what kind of ability I'll get.'
Ms. Kato continued to explain how magic is used to manipulate elements. After a while the bell rang. "Class is over now." She said.
She left the classroom and some of the students started chatting with each other.
"The procedure sounds scart but not at the same time." Said Kirino to Kuro. "Yeah. The fact that they'll have to make an incision over our heart to put source magic is sort of frightening but because they won't have to move or do anything with our organs it isn't all the scary." Responded Kuro.
"Why are you still talking with me though. Don't you have any friends?" Asked Kuro. "No you're the only person I actually know here. I have a brother but he's a third year." Replied Kirino. 'Her brother's a third year then. That must mean he has access to a lot of things us first years don't.'
"Do you know anyone else here or just me?" Asked Kirino. "Yes. Remember that kid that asked Ms. Kato the question about the procedure? His name is Itsuki and he practically begged me to be his friend." Said Kuro.
Soon after he responded the door opened and a woman that had blond hair, pale skin, and freckles and looked to be in her twenties. She was relatively tall and was wearing a warm and fuzzy looking sweater. Along with a long white scarf. She was also wearing white skinny jeans.
She walked behind the lecture table and started to introduce herself.
"My name is Mika Arakaki and I am your history teacher. You will all call me Ms. Arakaki. Now I know you may think that history probably has nothing to do with this magic but that's where you're wrong."
"History can help with magic because you can use ideas and concepts from the past to help you advance and master your abilities. But its not just that, there are a lot of different things history." Said Ms. Arakaki.
