You know that feeling when your alarm isn't ringing but you know from deep within that you have slept for longer than you were supposed to?
Well I was currently experiencing that feeling. I felt well rested, maybe even excessively so, as my back and shoulders felt deliciously sore. Maybe from all the travelling that I had done in the past 48 hours, or maybe it was because I'd slept longer than I ever usually did.
Maybe it was the woodsy and spicy scent of the sheets that had lulled me into a deep sleep. I burrowed my face deeper into the pillows to get more of the delicious smell.
Hmm I really should wake up now. Reluctantly I opened my eyes, the bright light streaming through the windows momentarily blinded me.
