Gauhar's POV
"This is Altamash's room, and yours as well now." Inaya smiled up at me in that comforting way that mother's usually do, as she guided me towards a room.
Balancing myself in heels while walking with this heavy lehenga was taking all my energy and focus. I couldn't wait to get rid of them as soon as I possibly could.
"I think it will take him a bit of time, so make yourself comfortable." She patted my hand as she helped me sit down on the bed, before closing the door and leaving me in a completely bare room.
As I looked around, I realised that the room was as impersonal as it could get. The walls were painted a standard white and grey, which matched the aesthetic of the room. The bed was bare, with white sheets and there was not a single book on the bookcase. There weren't even any pictures on the wall or trinkets on the table to indicate that anyone was living here.
