It was morning so I got dressed and covered Zoe up with the blanket to be polite and I went out of the tent and what I found was disturbing. The trees were all Broken down like it caught fire, there was blood on the trees like tree sap, but the worst part was that It wasn't a dream.
"Hello again jack how you doing. I'm ready to discuss the matter here." the black shadow said "but I'm gonna change the 5 day thing just for fun."
The black shadow was right in front of me staring me down.
"What do you mean change the deal?" I said confused "what do you want to change?"
"Instead of giving you five days till I kill someone how about killing someone you love every day still starting with your mom." The dark shadow with an evil grin "oh and you'll have to escape the deadly forest if you want to live"
"You can't do this!" I yelled
He disappeared into thin air. I ran back in the tent. This was definitely not a dream. I mean Zoe is still here and Zach I think is here. I ran to the car and checked. Yep he's still here. I tapped on the glass and he woke up.
"Hey you need to come to the tent." I said over the glass window
He came out
"What the fuck is this?" He said shocked
"I'll explain later, let's get to the tent." I said dragging him to the tent.
We got in and zipped it up. We woke up Zoe and told Zach to turn around so Zoe can put clothes on. She was confused on what was happening. I explained everything to them from the first dream till now.
30 minutes later
"So your saying this black shadow is gonna kill us if we don't escape." Zoe exclaimed
"Yes, that's what I'm saying." I claimed "we need to leave right now. Pack your things and let's go."
"Okay." They both said
We got out of the tent and started packing up and threw all our stuff in the back and got in the truck.
"Okay so what's the plan?" Zack asked
"Well first we know that there's no one in the forest with us. So first let's start at the entrance I mean that's the way to get off of this place." Jack said
"I mean it sounds to easy, but we can try." Zoe questioning the plan
So we headed out to the entrance it was a little bumpy but we finally made it. But when we got there the entrance was gone like it disappeared out of nowhere. We looked around but the forest seemed like it had changed over time.
"Hello again jack. Having trouble"
We looked at the thing that was in front of us. It was the black shadow.
"What do you want now?" I asked him
"Well I mean this is getting tiring to watch." The shadow dramatically said "so I wanted to make it interesting for me and not you."
"What? You can't change up the play here." I told the shadow
"Well it's my game so shut your fucking mouth and listen closely" the shadow said with a dark evil voice "I will give you clues to where the entrance is and you'll have to solve them each time you get one, but you can't go twice in a row all of you have to go at least once Just to make it interesting."
"What that's stupid! Ughh you can't do that!" I yelled at him
"It's ok jack we got this don't get mad." Zach said
"That's right, listen to your friend" the shadow exclaimed
"What's the first clue?" Zoe asked
"Well it's not really a clue, it's more like a rhyme to find your way out of this place" the shadow said evil like
"Ok whatever give us the rhyme." Jack yelled
"Fine. The way to get out of the forest isn't so easy, you gotta finish the rhyme in time." The shadow smirked and vanished
"We know we gotta escape, but we don't know how" Zach exclaimed
"The rhyme in time." Jack whispered under his breath
"What was that jack?" Zoe said
"Well we know where doing rhymes, right?" Jack explained
"Right." Zoe and Zach said together "what does that have to do with the rhyme?"
"Well after he said time so it has to be in a clock somewhere." Zach excitedly said
"Your on to something jack" Zach said
"Well just have to find a clock then, let's go." Jack said
We all got in the truck and road off into the opposite direction. The woods were quiet to quiet. We were on our way to finding a clock but what we didn't know is something bad was gonna happen soon. We had to hurry but we wouldn't make it in time.
We looked in front of us the the black shadow was there. In his hand my mother lying dead in front of m. I cried out and got out of the truck towards my moms dead body.
"Noooooooo" I screamed out
"I told you you didn't have time" the shadow said "next is your father, so you better hurry."
He disappears in thin air. I grabbed my moms body and put it back in the truck. I looked at the clue and new where to go next.
