November 20, 2019, 8:00 PM "huh, I guess it's almost that time of the year."
The man said after looking at his phone, then put it beside his computer and lifelessly continued to click his glowing mouse one of the few sources of lights in his darkroom. Few minutes passed, he heard three heavy knocks coming from his door, "finally," he said. He then vexingly gets off the chair while holding his phone and turned on its lights to traverse his way to the door.
What he found at his door was a pair of chopsticks at the top of the bowl of rice, a fresh fried fish, and a bowl of hot soup. He then looks around the door looking if someone is watching him get the food, even though he knows he won't see anyone, he still hopes to see someone is watching him. After getting the same answer every time, he then closes the door and brought the food beside the computer monitor then stare at it for a while before starting to eat.
He then proceeds to take a sip on the hot soup then uses the chopstick to eat the fish's meat together with the rice until nothing is left, after he ate he placed the dishes outside the door where he got the food, after a quick look beside his door he returns to his adjustable chair and continued to clicks his glowing mouse, sometimes press the glowing keyboard.
As hours slip away, he got bored using the computer, eventually switch his attention to his cellphone and lazily lays down on the bed. After an hour or so, he wearily put down the phone and started to look at the dark ceiling, begin to think aimlessly.
He can't help but recall what happened last 3 years ago on how he got into this luxurious house, most crucially the day when his mother passed away because of an unknown disease for a reason he couldn't imagine. It was around on his 20s, one day, he noticed that his mother came home too tired from work, he felt that it's normal because the adult world could be stressful sometimes. But ever since that day, the situation got worse, so he brought her to the doctor, but the doctor said it's just overwork, so Sho persuaded his mother hard to stop working for a while, but her situation doesn't get better. It's the start of his long nightmare. His mother gets weaker every day for an unknown reason before it was just by going from work until her mother can't get up from her bed—his mother, the most energetic person that he knew. Until the end, the doctors couldn't tell what plague her mother.
At the funeral, people with formal black suits came to him and told him he was a son of a wealthy businessman, although he didn't believe at first because his mother doesn't really look too much, compare to other women. Without any family left, he decided to accept the invitation to live with his "true" father. As he stays on the house, he found out that he has 6 other brothers and 3 sisters with different mothers, competing for the attention of his father. Having been pressured by his step-relatives and not wanting to participate, he decided to stay in his room until he gets too comfortable and until couldn't let go.
Sigh. What a life to live, he mumbled softly as he closes his eyes, trying to find peace in his dark, quiet room.
An alarm coming from his phone woke him up before he continues to fall asleep he remembered setting the alarm week ago to get up early before anyone else does and wander around the house, hoping this day he could make a change. After turning off the alarm, he randomly opens up his galleries from his old memories, notes he wrote in the past, and his mom's old files. While browsing, he suddenly got another notification from his phone and says.
By the time you're reading this it means I'm no longer by your side, I know this setting isn't the safest way to pass a will but please listen to what I'm about to say, I found this phone on my way home, when suddenly a strange mighty creature appeared at my presence, this mighty creature can do all sort of horrible things to me I can honestly tell. Still, the mighty creature only said in a soothing voice, "keep it safe" and disappeared like it doesn't exist.
If this is the reason I cease to exist, I will never regret this decision; if this gives you a chance for a brighter and a different future, like you always said to me.
I don't know what this actually could bring you, but I'm pretty sure you'll have hard times and one of a kind experience that people can only imagine.
I'm sorry it took a long time, but after all the things you experienced, I know it would take time for you to recover also hey I did give you something extraordinary!
Enjoy this life, and be always proud.
Happy 24th

"That's what all happened," said Shon with teary eyes to Vin while he was giving Shon a cloth to clean his face.
"So where's is this "phone" that you're saying?"
"I don't know. all I remember is after reading that message, the phone radiate so bright, and when I opened my eyes, all I saw was your door's house."
Although Vin is a bit suspicious about Shon's story, he couldn't ignore all the piteous actions and the tragic stories he just heard. Most importantly, Vin trusts his guts this time, and his guts is saying that this pathetic man could do wonders in his colorless life, plus he could get a worker for a low cost, but before that.
"What are you gonna do now" Vin continued.
"Since it's my birthday, Can I have something to eat, and also can I work here?" Shon answered with uncertainty.
"Sure, but you have to join my team, and since you're living here, expect your pay is below average!" said Vin with a grinned and extended his hand to Shon.
"Deal! "
"Shon cleans your face and take a seat, tonight we'll eat and drink."
