Chapter 1 - 0-Prologue [Narrator]

'The world is not what it seems, underneath those bright white clouds are living darknesses and cold blooded humans. Humans have made their own system of Justice and endless laws, man-made.

Even if there's justice, nothing can replace one's personality until they decide to change and move forward for a better future. But is there even a better future? '—

Uriel tapped the pen on the table, leaving small inked dots across the paper. He sighed and leaned back in his chair. Wearing only an unbuttoned maroon shirt and knee length sport shorts, his silky chestnut hair tied in a small messy bun.

He had no time for concentrating as the heat caught up with him.

"Ah, shit... I miss spring," He mumbled, fanning himself with square-folded sheets of paper.

Azuriel Eras, commonly known by his close friends as Uriel. He majored in Philosophy and has dreamed countlessly of being teacher one day.

Uriel lived half his life as a poor student, taking out loans he couldn't afford to pay in the future.

"I'm sure my job will pay me enough to clean that loan mess, haha..." his laugh drifted off and let out his excessively long sigh.

From the backyard of his home, he looked up to the blue sky covered with bits of clouds.

"God, although I'm an atheist, others support you and pray for you everyday. What did you give them?" He asked out loud, even if he knew god won't answer him, he had a small hope inside.

"Doctors do the cleaning, and the victims thanks you God. Do you like the free credits?" He mocked with a slight grin, "—then again, we are just creatures that entertain you, no?".

Uriel got up from his seat and crumbled up the papers he had spent many days focusing on, grabbing his pen and heading inside the house.

It was a hot and sunny day, a perfect time for having an ice cream-

Or maybe not for him.

Uriel trudged upstairs in a lazy manner, heading straight for the bedroom, and flipped onto his worn out 2015 bed. It was 2020, the year.

"If only I could go back into the past and be different...sheesh, philosophy has me drunk."

With that, his body and mind fell into a deep sleep.

An everlasting fate.

He awoke surrounded by white fog and six doors stood in front of him. Each of them numbered from one through six. The first door seemed old and almost broken down, wood-man made. The second door was plain white and had zero scratches on it, the third door with black rose vines covering it. The fourth and fifth door were the same color except it had different numbers assigned. The last door had a tall structure frame and gave off an intimidating aura.

Uriel rubbed his eyes twice before realizing he wasn't dreaming, or was he?

"Maybe a dream inside of a dream?" He thought as he rubbed his chin. He could feel himself, vividly real. He glanced at the doors again.

Uriel marched towards the sixth door, his heart somehow started thumping loudly as if he wasn't physically prepared for it.

-[GOOD MORNING FELLOW HUMAN]-

"Good morning—wait, who are you?" Uriel stopped in his tracks and quickly turned to look around, suddenly feeling creeped out.

-[DON'T BE SO HOSTILE, I DO NOT HURT MY MASTER. MORE LIKE I CAN'T]-

"Who's your master? Why am I here?" Uriel asked, lowering his hands and trying to stay calm.

As if being creeped out by the doors wasn't enough. Uriel bit his lips nervously, a fine habit of his, awaiting the response.

-[YOU ARE MY MASTER, YOU ARE HERE BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO BE DIFFERENT. IN THIS WORLD OF MINE, YOU CAN DO ANYTHING.]-

The cold air suddenly felt warm and relaxing, Uriel's body moved on its own towards the sixth door. As if it was what he desired deep down. The warm and sweet sensation filled his inner heart.

'Should I trust that creature?' Uriel thought. He eyed the empty air. It felt too quiet and eerie.

"If I'm your master now, show yourself," Uriel replied in a commanding tone of voice.

-[OF COURSE, BUT YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE DOOR YOU DESIRE. I CANNOT SHOW MYSELF YET, AS THIS IS THE DEPTH OF DREAMS.]-

'I'm sure this is all a dream, a dream that feels too real. I'll wake up soon', Uriel sighed and grabbed ahold of the doorknob, the sixth door suddenly glowed in the color of black. The air became cold and as Uriel continued to step through, it became harder to breathe. Just as he was about to turn back and leave, the door slammed shut.

He panted loudly, breathing became harder and harder. The bright surroundings turned black, air becoming colder. Uriel felt as if he was about to die, he felt every ounce of regret. He suddenly felted dehydrated, small puffs of smoke came out of his mouth and filled the endless room. It didn't give any instructions on where to go.

All Uriel could think was of death as he passed out, the dark room swirling fast and leaving no trace of struggle.

-[MASTER, I WILL BE BY YOUR SIDE WHEN YOU ARE FULLY AWAKENED.]-
