Chapter 2 - Chapter 1 : Mine, all mine

"Who the heck have a black mansion? Must've watch too much vampre movie shit!" Chris whisper to Caden who was watching the mansion from afar. Silver spike which was carved beautifully with its unique tribal design surround the three level mansion.

Night was upon them by the time they have arrived there and to hide their wolf scent, they take soil from the ground and rub it on their body. Vampires have sharp smell. When it comes to them, sneak attack is not a great plan at all.

"Shut up, Chris. You check the perimeter like I told you?" Caden grunted.

"Yeah, yeah. Front all guarded tightly. Alex is waiting for you it seems. Back gate is okay though. Huge forest grows behind them. May have a few vampires but we can easily take care of them. Prison should be near there."

"You sure about that?"

Chris crossed his hand staring at Caden, "Gee, I don't know. Do I look like I live there to be a thousand percent sure? It's the only way, dammit. let's go."

Caden roll his eyes, "Fine! Ill go back entrance with Joshua, you and the rest stay here. In 45 minutes, if I didn't come back, get me. I refuse to rot in this place in case they overpower me."

Chris roll his eyes and shook his head. He never like him saying those things. Staying behind as instructed, Caden slowly brave himself through the thick forest to find their back yards. He coulnd't shift into his wolf form because the smell on his fur would make the vampires detect them easily.

It's pretty odd how the numbers of guards are not as much as he thought it will be, but he remain cautious in case of any sudden attacks.

Once he reach at the back of the mansion, he find a small gate with no one taking care of it which again is quite odd. A bit too easy but the chase againts time for Aiden made him move faster.

As he enters, he see dozens of luxurious car parked with two vampire speaking casually. Caden whisper for Joshua to keep as quiet as he can as they crawl, covered by the short brick wall and hidden from the vampire's view.

He felt like a spy when he lean his back from one wall to the other with Joshua following his every foot steps. When he found a corner to hide, he found himself in a field of daises. It practically took a huge portion of the yard but that wasn't the reason why he stop.

He felt his wolf became very agitated from the moment he arrived at the mansion. He thought that it was just its reaction surrounded by vampires but there was something more to it.

Sweet strawberry and honey scent lingers in the air. It was the sweetest most delicious scent he had ever inhale and peace with satisfying warmth spread across his chest, throughout his body. Mate!

His wolf growled, finally. Caden's eyes falls to the girl in the middle of the field. Her red hair shines under the light of the moon. It was such a soft and silky curls, nothing crazy and he could imagine himself running his fingers through that curly strands at the end. Would it bounce back to his face or more curls would form from it?

She was sitting on the lush grass with one hand sniffing the daisy. Daisy barely has any smell but she was breathing it in like it was the best fragrance in the world. Her deep green eyes was revealed when she open her eyes. Gold specks can be seen surrounding the green orb and her lips, wow, he thought.

She didn't wear any make up but her thick lashes and bee stung lips, plump and red looks absolutely gorgeous on her. She wore a plain green night dress. It has long sheer sleeves and the way her dress pressed on her chest reveals how she did not wear any inner clothing. Vulnerable. Way to vulnerable.

Unconsciously stepping forward, a sharp pain on his back made him scream. Her eyes turn to him as well and her mouth was open in a shock. Joshua tries to help him but he too was shot on his leg. Both clutch at their wound. No fatal hits but the silver bullet was searing their skin, causing smoke to formed around their bullet wound.

More vampire came to hold them down and even though Caden tries to push them away, he felt silver chains wrapped around his body making him subdue. He could hear Joshua growling too but his concentration was focused deepy at the angel in front of him. She look so scared but still so enchanting. Her doe eyes was calling out to him to save her.

He wanted to run to him and hold her to him, assuring her that nothing would happen to her. Mate. The words seems to repeat itself over and over again. What was she even doing here? They could've hurt her.

That's when the reality sets in. General Eric, Alex most trusted guard approach her mate, causing his wolf to howl angrily for him to stay away but what happen next mad him shock. He was actually bringing the blanket to her. As soon as he stood next to his mate, he wrapped the thick grey blanket and put it around he rbody. He hugged her protectively and spoke to her.

"Get in now, my lady. Prince Alex want you to be safe. We have dangerous intruders."

She nod her head and walks away. Sensing his hot glare, his mate turn her head to stare at him and pity swam in her eyes. Once she left the scene, Eric approach them while their heads was pushed to the grounds. Eric tap his boots in front of them. His menacing grin along his dark brown eyes, almost black staring daggers at him.

"Well, well, well. Came to save your pack member, alpha? Dumb move, don't you think?'

Eric snap his finger and quickly the vampire guards drag them forward. As much as he was pissed to be capture captured by the lowly blood sucking leeches, his emotions was wrecked. Disappointment, anger, sadness, frustration mixed all at once. He was given another mate. Nevertheless, the reality of his situation was too dreadful to accept. He has a mate but she was part of the enemy. What should he do now?
