Third person's p.o.v.
"Dadi, what happened to you?" Ananya started shrieking seeing her condition.
She has fainted and her head had started bleeding.
She started shaking her.
"Ananya get a glass of water, quick."
She brought the jug from nearby and both of them started splashing water.
Ananya her everything was getting numb.
"Dadi woke up please Dadi." Her tears started rolling down uncontrollably.
"Ananya it's not the time of panicking. She is injured. We need to take her hospital as soon as possible."
They picked her up and rushed to the nearby hospital.
"Doctor please look at her... She is the only person I have. Please save her."
Arjun turned towards the person beside her. Her miserable condition hit him hard somewhere. He gripped her hand.
"Ananya, let them look at her. She will be fine."
He made her sit nearby and took a sit beside her. He took her shaking palm in his. He knows right now she just needed someone to comfort her and he needed to give her that comfort.
"Calm down Ananya, they are treating her. She will be fine. Just keep patience. Everything will be all right. It has to be."
He tried to calm down sobbing Ananya.
"If her illness is making you weak then you have to be strong also that she can recover soon. You are her strength, Ananya."
After some time, the doctor came out. Both of them stood up.
"How is she? What happened to her? Has she gained consciousness?"
Ananya asked with concern.
"Calm down. She is fine. Her blood pressure was so low and maybe as an outcome she fainted and probably that time she got injured. And one more thing she might be not taking her meal properly. So, you have to take care of that."
"Can I see her?"
"Yeah, sure."
She turned towards Arjun. He nodded.
She went inside. Her Dadi was sleeping on the bed peacefully. She sat beside her. She slowly took her hand. Dadi opened her eyes at her touch.
"I'm fine now. Don't look at me like I'm gonna die soon."
"Dadi, I'm not in the mood of joking. You don't need to take it. You take rest."
"Tell me when are you going to take me from this jail?"
"I'm not going to. You are going to stay here. Why didn't you take your food properly? This is your punishment."
"I knew it. I always knew it. You want to get rid of this old woman, na?" She said dramatically.
"Yaar, Dadi, ok I won't say anything to you, bad girl!" Ananya started with an annoyed face.
Dadi-poti (granddaughter) acted to be serious for some moment and the next moment the hospital room filled up with their laugh.
Arjun's phone started vibrating.
"Hello, Dad."
"Arjun, where are you? It's already 7:45. Do you remember you have a flight at noon tomorrow." Dinesh said with a little anger.
"Dad, I have just got some work to do. Once I'm done, I will be back. Moreover, my packing is done. So don't worry."
"That's ok. But when are you coming?"
"I'll be a little late. But I'll try to come fast."
"Seriously Arjun! You and your work. Ok, come fast."
"Yeah, bye."
"I think you should go now. Your dad is right."
"How is she?"
"She is fine. But you should go."
"It's not a new thing that I'm going home late. Leave it. Let's eat something. You haven't eaten anything after lunch."
"But sir..."
"It's an order. And I'm very angry also. So, you are gonna accompany me." He cut her in.
She smiled. He is so stubborn but cute. She said in her mind.
"So?"
"Ok."
"After you."
They come out of the hospital and entered into a cafe.
"Well, it's my bad luck that I couldn't have coffee at your place but we can have it here."
They took a corner table.
"Well. After you return you are gonna have one."
"So will you wait for me?"
"Thank you, Sir." She ignored his question.
"It's nothing."
"It's a lot for me, Sir. You know I always get nervous and panicked and I'm really bad in this kind of situation. If you were not there with me, I don't know what I would do alone in this large city. So, thank you so much. She is my everything. You can't understand how miserable my condition will be without her."
"I can understand. Trust me I can."
She looked straight into his eyes. There is a hidden pain she can feel.
Arjun looked at the outside city through the glass window.
"In this world, me and my Dad are everything for each other. Always there for each other whatever happens. I can do anything for him whatever it takes. But if he is not there I don't know how to react I can't even imagine."
She kept her hand over his.
"You are not alone. Not only Your Dad but you have some priceless friends in your life."
"Yes, you are right. But the same goes for you too." She looked up.
"At least after today you will consider me worthy of your friendship, don't you?" His eyes were intense.
"But I have never done anything for you. In fact, I have misbehaved with you many times." Arjun said a little sadly.
"Well, time will say if you wanna do anything for me or not. Friendship doesn't need any clarification. It happens itself with time and you don't even know."
"Ok. Let's see. It's my time to be worthy of your friendship."
They smiled together. They came out of the cafe.
"Sir, I think now you should go. Your Dad is concerned."
"But if you.."
"I need nothing. I can handle everything here. The doctor has confirmed that she will be released tomorrow."
"Ok. Take care, Ananya."
"You too."
He turned to go. As he took some steps forward her voice stopped him.
"Sir."
She came running in front of him. Before he could say anything her action stopped him. To his shock, she hugged him suddenly. He was too numb to say anything at this. He was so lost in her warmth that he forgot to react. As soon as he came to the realization he wanted to reciprocate the hug but before that, she broke the hug. How much he wanted to be there for some more time. How intensely he wanted to feel her in his arms.
"This new friend of yours will wait for you. You owe a cup of coffee at my place.
Have a safe and successful journey, Sir."
He stood there like a robot.
"Sir?"
"Oh, yeah I'm excited for the coffee treat. And by the way, I will call you to know Dadi's health condition. So, keep your phone close to you or if you miss call back me. Don't ignore my calls or texts. I will be concerned for her."
"Ok, my boss. Now go."
"Ok, goodbye. Good night."
"Goodbye. Good night."
After bidding her goodbye he got into his car but he was still not relaxed. He didn't want to leave her alone in this situation. She wants someone beside him at this moment and he highly wanted to be that support system of her, to comfort her. But this trip is also important.
He can do one thing now. He said in his mind. He can admit someone to be with her. But whom? Avinash will be already very busy in his absence and Rakesh is accompanying him.
At this stage, only one name came into his mind who can surely be with her and take care of them. No, he didn't want that. But he had to, for Ananya, for Dadi.
He dialed his number.
