Mara had very different ideas of what a party was than I did. I imagined lots of booze, loud music, and skimpy cla party goers hanging all over eachother. Mara arranged a black tie affair. It was to be fully catered with an open bar, a string quartet, and only the creme de la creme on the guest list. The black dress she picked out for me was so skin tight I swear she had measured me when I wasn't looking because it fit perfectly. It had a collared neckline with an open back that was so low it hit me just above my butt. I felt pretty damn spiffy. My hair was artfully arranged on top on my head, and my makeup was subtle but perfect. Mara dressed so I would stand out better, or so she said. Her dress was simple but elegant black floor length dress. I just shrugged and did what she said.
The party had way more guests than I had anticipated, but that was perfect. I wasn't sure where Mara got so many guests, but I refused to question it. I sipped a drink I couldn't name it tasted expensive, and waited. I talked to several of Terry's employees, but the party had been going for several hours before he showed himself. I flirted with the group of men that surrounded me, and pretended to not notice when he arrived. To his credit he didn't run up to me like an eager puppy. He wandered around the large room talking to many people, but his eyes never really left me. I could feel them roaming my body. I ignored the feeling, and continued to just wait. Terry was very different than Richard he wouldn't like the strong come on from me. No, Terry was a hunter and all I had to do was pretend to be prey. I would string him along until I had him eating out of the palm of my hand. When he finally did approach me he addressed one of the men I was chatting with first giving him the bro hug. You know that we aren't homo so let's just tap shoulders thing that makes no sense to anyone. I refrained from rolling my eyes as he turned back to me looking me up and down, not like he hadn't been for fifteen minutes, he gave me that smile guys get when they think they have a sure thing. I just nodded to him, waved over his shoulder and went to speak to someone else. He grabbed my arm somewhat roughly his eyes flashed anger. Oh my, Terry had an ego who would have thunk it.
