Moonbin had recognised her, she knew, for his eyes widened as he saw her and he seemed surprised and suspicious. She felt anxious. What possible explanation could she give him for having ran away from him for a month, and for suddenly reappearing like that. On top of that, she had told him she was looking for a job in the advertising area, and now she was in a club, lasciviously dancing in a tight short dress. She didn't feel embarrassed about the way she was dressed or anything, she was worried about what he would say to her. She kept on dancing, concentrating on Chul - or at least trying to… When the music stopped, so did the two partners, and everyone applauded. She smiled and bowed, and looked around the room. She saw Astro members, applauding. Cha Eun Woo was softly clapping his hands together, gently smiling; Kim Myung-Jun had a bright smile plastered on his face, and was vigorously and happily cheering the dancers; Yoon San Ha was sitting next to Kim Myung-Jun and following his happy lead; Park Jin Woo was calmly clapping as well; and finally, Park Min-Hyuk had a straight face, his cat eyes seemed to pierce right through Sienna, as if he knew what she was, even though he was applauding. Moonbin was sitting, staring at Sienna, and didn't move, making the young girl even more nervous about what was coming next. But she didn't have the time to think about it, for the music started. Slow violins. She slowly and coyly started walking towards Chul. As she was close to Chul, she felt a hand grab her hand and pull her backwards. She didn't lose her balance, and swirled towards the person who had taken her hand. She stopped short, her body pressed against a young man who was standing straight and proudly, his face as cold as ice, their faces only inches apart. She looked up at him and repressed the urge to step back.
"What the hell are you doing?" she hissed.
"I've been looking for you for the past month… How can someone disappear so easily like that?"
"You can't do that right now," she said in a whisper. The music was still going, and as she spoke, she kept dancing. She slid down against the young man looking at him, then at the floor. She then quickly got up, and graciously moved behind him. He turned his head to the side, eyes on the floor, as Sienna rested her left hand on the young man's stomach, and slid her right one from his shoulder to his chest. "Have you ever danced tango?" she asked angrily, whispering in his ear.
"As a matter of fact," the young man answered as he grabbed Sienna's right hand, made her twirl under his arm and grabbed her waist, putting them in a waltz position, all of this very quickly, "I did." Chul started walking towards Sienna, but Kwang-min stopped him, and shook his head.
They started moving slowly, their bodies close to each other, in rapid and sensual movements. Sienna then slid her foot to the front, between the young man's legs, and pushed his right leg to the side, surprising the young man who looked at her coldly. "What are you trying to do?" he frowned.
"Nothing, I'm dancing!" she hissed. "If you know how this goes," she continued as she spinned and came back to him, "you wouldn't be surprised." She gave him a tight smile. The crowd held its breath.
"Oh, so this is how you want to play it!" the young man exclaimed. He grabbed Sienna's leg and put it around his waist, then wrapped his arms around her skinny waist, pulling her closer to him. Sienna let herself fall backwards, and the young man followed her movement, his face close to hers, his hands moving up to her shoulders, then sliding down her back. They then straightened up quickly. They swirled together, then a few feets apart, kept on moving, passion in their eyes, for two other minutes, then finally, they came back to each other, pressed against each other, breathless, and on the last note, Sienna arched her back, her leg around the young man's waist, while he was holding her, standing straight. There was a moment of silence, followed by a thunderous applause. Sienna straightened up and looked at the young man, before graciously bowing to the audience.
"We need to talk," the young man whispered in Sienna's ear. The young girl glanced at him, and despite her anxiety, she nodded. They got off the stage, and went outside.
"So", he began, "why did you avoid me all this time?"
Sienna looked at him. "I… I told you, I was looking for a job…"
"Yes, in advertising, you didn't say anything about dancing in a club!"
"Well," she replied, "I did apply for a job, but while waiting for the answer, I still needed some money to live. So this looked like a fun thing to do before working for real." There, it wasn't difficult after all. They stayed quiet for a little while. "Moonbin," Sienna said. "I'm sorry I didn't try to see you again. I should have, because you were the first person who welcomed me in this country, and you were awfully nice to me. I was just really caught up with my search for work and this new thing…"
Moonbin didn't answer, and Sienna sighed. "Could we still be friends?" she asked shyly. She smiled internally, satisfied about her good acting skills, but felt a little pinch in her heart : Moonbin seemed nice, despite his cold exterior, and it hurt her a little to lie to him like that. In fact, she knew that this friendship request was kind of real, and it made her nervous, for she hoped it wouldn't spoil her mission. The young man looked at her, surprised, then looked back into the dark of the night, and stuck his hands in his jeans' pockets.
"I don't see why not," Moonbin finally answered. Sienna smiled. Maybe Mr Kong was wrong… Maybe there were other ways to get to know a target without having to seduce it. And it felt right. Even though it had been proven that she was good at seducing people, Sienna couldn't pull herself to do it with Moonbin.
"Thank you," she said.
"Is your work over?" Moonbin then asked after a small silence.
"Yes, why?"
"I'd like you to meet my other friends." Moonbin casually replied.
An incredible opportunity! But it was going so fast at the same time. In two months she would have visited the town, applied for a job for Fantagio Company, and met Astro. This was too good to be true. Of course, the main part of the mission wasn't done yet, but it was still moving very fast. She really must be good at it then.
"Sure, I'd like that," Sienna smiled. Moonbin glanced at her and gave her a small smile. They then went back into the bar, and Sienna took a deep breath. "Okay," she thought, "make a good impression. Don't do anything stupid. Stay in character." She followed Moonbin to the couch where the other members were sitting.
"Moonbin!" a voice called behind them. They turned around and saw Kwang-min. "I didn't know you could dance like that," he exclaimed. "Why didn't you tell me, I would have asked you to perform--"
"I have a busy schedule, Kwang-min," Moonbin shrugged. "But thank you."
They kept walking to the end of the bar and joined the members. Kwang-min started nodding frantically, and speaking to himself, while making weird faces, as if doing this was convincing him of something. "Sure, of course, yeah… I knew that!" he scoffed, as if he thought Moonbin could still hear him. But Moonbin was already out of ear range. Kim Myung-Jun and Yoon San Ha cheered as they saw their friend and the girl arrive.
"Ya! Moonbin!" Myung-Jun exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with happiness and mischief, "you were good!!"
Moonbin's eyes enlightened, and he flashed a bright smile at his friend as he went over to sit. "Why so surprised?" he said, "you know how good I am already." Myung-Jun gave him a slap on his back and laughed.
"Why is the girl you danced with, here?" Park Min-Hyunk asked as he eyed Sienna suspiciously.
"Don't look at her like that, Rocky, you're going to scare her away!" Cha Eun Woo said. Rocky smirked and drank his beer. "Come and sit with us," Eunwoo kindly offered. Sienna gave him a smile and sat down.
"What's your name?" Yoon San Ha asked, his eyes twinkling, as he put an elbow on the table, and rested his chin in the palm of his hand, looking very interested in whatever the young girl was about to say. Sienna looked at him and thought. It would be very easy to get to that one, and ask him about information… She shook her head and smiled.
"I'm Brooke," Sienna answered. She paused and suddenly realised she had to ask them their names. "And you are?"
"I'm Sanha, this is MJ, and Jinjin, and Eunwoo, and Rocky--"
"And I believe you already met Moonbin," MJ interrupted, a big bright smile enlightening his face, his eyes mischievously staring at Sienna who laughed.
"Nice to meet you all," Sienna smiled. "It probably will take me a little time to get used to your names though, I'm sorry. I'm a little forgetful!" Smooth, she thought.
"That's okay," Eunwoo said.
"Plus, I believe we will see more of you in the future," MJ winked, then looked at Moonbin who rolled his eyes and smiled.
"Well, yes. She has asked to be my friend. So I said yes, and I figured, since you all saw her already, why not introduce her to you all," Moonbin stated as he grabbed his glass and started drinking.
"Ya! You begged me to not avoid you anymore!" Sienna retorted. "Don't try to put this on me!"
"Oh!" MJ exclaimed. "What's that about, huh, Moonbin?"
"Yeah, tell us!" Sanha insisted. Moonbin sighed.
"I met Moonbin a few weeks ago, on the first day I arrived here," Sienna jumped in. "I was lost, and he saw me and offered me a drink. But being the forgetful nut that I am, I forgot to ask for his number or something to contact him. So we lost track of each other until now." The young girl explained and smiled.
The little group talked for another hour, until Sienna told them she had to leave. She got up, slightly bowed and went to get changed. She thanked Kwang-min, and left.
"I don't trust her," Rocky finally said. During the whole time Sienna had been there, he hadn't uttered a word.
"The question is," Moonbin said, "do you even trust anyone?!" Rocky turned to Moonbin.
"A very good question indeed," Rocky smirked.
Moonbin smiled and looked at the door Sienna had just walked through.
