Chapter 27 - 27. Company

"But you really are a sly snake, Boston."

"Hmmm… well I guess so."

Yoro shook his head helplessly when he didn't even try to conceal it. By what Yoro had found out in his whole time here, he could guess what Boston was trying to do by giving him this valuable information for free.

Even without seeing it himself, it was safe for Yoro to assume that Boston also moved in the underworld. He didn't know since when he had been dwelling in this kind of job, neither Yoro wanted to know about it. But the appearances of W.A.V.E involvement with drugs would definitely lower his influence in the underworld of Ehrenar.

B.C Company, while moving in the underworld, was a company that worked in an information and red district scope of area. So even if they wanted to compete with W.A.V.E, their field of work had already differed greatly, which was the reason why they couldn't do that themselves.

He wanted The Marquis Ehren's party to take care of this themselves without any involvement from him. It was a smart move, because not only he wouldn't need to solve the case by dirtying his hand, he would also get the good grace of Ehren Marquisate. And by revealing he could find information like this, he also indirectly said to Yoro he was open to having further cooperation if this case was solved.

And thus, their conversation and business ended.

* * *

Yoro and Chad had exited the casino by now and were walking on the alley street side by side.

As he had gotten out of the Casino, Yoro had his cloak being worn back. He walked aimlessly while thinking about what Boston had informed him previously.

'I can't tell this to my father he said, if that's the case, then who should I tell?' He turned his head behind and looked at Chad who still had the same glare on his face, scaring off anyone who dared to come too near with them.

'No' Yoro shook his head. 'Chad would only tell my father if I asked him about this matter.' He unconsciously started walking towards the library, a crazy plan was being made inside his head. 'But it's also not like I have to get rid of him in this matter. And that leaves me with only one option.'

"Alright Chad, I want to check something here. You can busy yourself in the meantime with anything you want." And without confirming his confirmation, Yoro walked deeper inside the library, deciding he would kill his time here until Chad was distracted enough.

The library was still the same as always. Yoro had memorized all the paths here and walked towards magic and theory with the map in mind, it's located in the deeper parts of the library.

The library wasn't that big in the first place, so he easily arrived in the area and grabbed some book he hadn't read yet. One thing for sure, he never gets tired of reading this kind of thing.

He decided to stall his time for about 2-3 hours, so he had about 4 books in hand while he walked towards the corner part of the library.

Or maybe he should call it, 'his spot'

It was because that place was literally his usual spot every time he got here, and by that 'every time', he meant the place he sat on whenever he came to this place, which was everyday already since the start of the week.

So his surprise was understandable when he saw a person sitting on that very seat of his.

"Umm, excuse me." Yoro tried to talk with the most polite tone he could muster, but the person who buried himself with his books tsk-ed his tongue, visibly annoyed as he heard Yoro's voice.

As he raised his head, a handsome teen with stark green eyes and blonde hair came out to Yoro's view. His body was quite athletic, a swimmer if he should point it out. And he definitely not just 'anyone'

With how the air around him shifted as it excluded his elegance, it was certain that he was some kind of a noble. And this very fact somewhat made Yoro nervous.

"What do you want from- me" The teen frowned when he saw someone interrupted his free time here, but he widened his eyes as soon as they met the sky blue orb of Yoro's own, which in turn, made him choke on his word midway.

Yoro raised his eyes, his mind started spinning in the possibility that this teen somewhat knew who Yoro was.

Yoro cleared his throat and wet his lips, visibly becoming more nervous by second pass. "I am sorry, but can you vacate that chair for me? It's… my usual reading spot."

The teen didn't say anything and was still looking at his face. Yoro unconsciously raised his hand and touched his cheek in worry he didn't wear his whitening makeup properly.

Yoro sighed a breath of relief internally after confirming it was still there, but then, what was this teen seeing from him if that was the case?

The teen opened his mouth while Yoro was wondering about that question, he seemed to want to say something, but he swallowed it back in his throat. He opened his mouth again, but no words came out of it.

It then continued for a couple of times and by the unknown time passed in silence between the contest of stare between them, the teen sighed.

"Sorry, I don't know about that." The teen smiled benignly and politely offered his seat. "You can sit here, please don't mind about me." And after saying that, he moved to the most corner spot after the seat he sat on before and sat there.

Yoro smiled gratefully and sat on his usual spot. He would have sat there and read his book calmly… if not because some gaze that couldn't be more obvious being bore against him right now.

"Sorry, is there something wrong?" said Yoro as he frowned at the teen 5 feet across him. This teen didn't even try to conceal or make it less obvious. He stared right at his place right now.

"Hmm, I wonder about that." He annoyingly grinned at him and pointed at the book in his hand. "Is it a book about magic theory? I don't think that is a usual book being read by a kid like you, you know?"

The teen shrugged as if find the thing he said was funny. "And if you ask some kids out there, ten out of a ten would say they don't understand mostly what is being written in there, or they would just find it boring. The later case also applied for even an adult it seemed."

Yoro squinted his eyes suspiciously, confused at what this teen trying to achieve by this conversation. He also started regretting why he talked to this guy in the first place when there were many vacant seats around.

"haaa…. I am leaving." Yoro said words no more and got up from his seat. It was just his nature. No matter which life he was in, Yoro never found himself comfortable if someone was staring at him like that no matter what he was doing, and that was even more so when he read his books.

Yoro went towards the place where he found his books and placed them back. He didn't care anymore now if Chad had done his flirting or not. He would find another place to make Chad distracted.

And if he turned out failed? Well, he would just forward the information to his father then. Even if he didn't succeed in uncovering their deeds, they would at least stop whatever they were doing in Ehren territory in the meantime.

But to his surprise, it seemed he didn't have to do that. Chad was already immersed in his own world with that librarian. Pink atmosphere was coming out of them as if the world was theirs and theirs alone at the moment.

Yoro cheered for their love in his heart and tip-toeing to the exit, hoping he didn't capture either of their attention.

"Haaa…. now what should I do?"

When he had reached the area with lesser people, Yoro exhaled his held breath and opened the file he had gotten from Boston regarding W.A.V.E. The file might look big, but his cloak was more than enough for accommodating both files he was carrying around while he didn't feel uncomfortable in the slightest.

'A wonder of magic' Yoro thought simply.

"Hey" But suddenly, a familiar voice rang out behind him.

Yoro snapped his head towards the source and found the teen from before standing there with the same smirk on his face. Yoro didn't sense he was coming, he didn't hear his step, or see his figure until now.

And that was exactly the reason why he was utterly surprised right now.

"You! What are you doing here!?" Yoro furrowed his eyebrows, his face painted with annoyance emotion.

The teen shrugged his shoulder. "I could ask the same thing to you." Yoro almost puked at his response, but when he wanted to retort and shoo him away, the teen said something that made Yoro's face turn into a horror stricken one.

"Wow, is that the W.A.V.E company maps? Do you by a chance want to infiltrate their base?"

Yoro wanted to cry now. He had successfully driven Chad's attention away from him, but not only he was being followed unknowingly, his plan had been found out before he could even think about it!

Fuck! Why was he so unlucky!?

"Hmmm, to be honest with you, you might die if you do it do it today"

"What?"
