Ace's POV:
We chased after Rachel after she made off with Kya's baby boy. "Rachel give him back!!" Angel yelled. "I'm only doing what Tabitha told me!!" Rachel yelled over her shoulder. What the hell?! They're both taking orders from each other?! We chased Rachel all the way back to the house. She fled to the basement but we were right behind her. She tried to close the door but it was no use.
All of us versus her. We cornered Rachel in the room. "Rachel give me back my son." Kya said, lowly. After giving birth, she was now full werewolf. She was bake to heal herself rather quickly. "Kya you don't understand. None of you do." Rachel said. "I understand that I'm gonna tip your fucking head off if you don't give me my son." Kya said. "Tabitha." Rachel said.
"What?" Kyle asked. "Tabitha is making me doing this." She said. "No way. She told me you put her up to this because you both wanted me but since Angel is in my life, you two hate her for it." I said. "Yes I do but Tabitha is the on in control, not me. Look, I know about all o you plotting to move out after graduation and that's fine. You're old enough to live on your own but I'm only doing what Tabitha told me." She said.
"And what is that?" Angel asked, angrily. "Look at first, Tabitha and I wanted you gone Angel. But then Kya came around and announced she was pregnant. Then I didn't want to get rid of you anymore Angel. I noticed how you took charge and wanted to take care of your sister. I tried to change Tabitha's mind but she refused. She wanted Angel dead and gone but Kya got into the mix." She said.
She shook her head. "I didn't want any part of this. When Kya came around, there was a drastic change of plans. Tabitha wanted to take Angel out but she knows Ace is always with her so taking out Kya was her way to go. But then Angel and them left so her plan failed. Yesterday at the hospital was her opportunity to take Kya out but you guys were already there." Rachel continued.
She looked at Kya. "That's why she killed your mother Kya." She said. "I'm aware. We all are." Kya said. "Please don't kill me. If you're going to kill anyone, let it be Tabitha. She's your true enemy. She plans on taking Angel out this weekend. She told me to snatch the baby as soon I got the opportunity but that doctor saw me. Tabitha is on her way here now. She's gonna kill the baby, kill Kya, and kill you Angel." Rachel explained.
I looked Angel. "I'm ready for her. I'm ready to end this bitch." She said. Then she transformed into a dragon. "Kya get the baby." I said. Rachel held him tight as he cried. "Kya don't!' She will kill you." She said. "Rachel come on. We going outside." Kyle said. We all carefully watched as Rachel walked outside. "Give us the baby Rachel." Rose said. Rachel began crying while shaking her head.
"I'm sorry but I can't." She said. "Why not?" Kya asked. "If I don't kill Kya's baby, Tabitha will kill me." She said. She shook her head. "It's just one baby Kya. You can always have more." Rachel said. "And there's more fish in the sea Rachel. I don't know why you and Tabitha are obsessed with me." I said. "Alright look, I don't care what you wanted to do or what Tabitha wanted to do. All I know is you better give me back my baby." Kya said.
Rachel shook her head. "It's not that simple Kya. Tabitha is gonna come back for the baby." She said. "Look I'm gonna handle Tabitha when I see her. Right now, give me back my son." Kya said. Rachel stared at her before reluctantly giving him over. "Rachel don't follow us. If I see you or Tabitha anywhere near us, it's over for you." Mike said. We transformed and went back to the hospital.
The doctors took Kya's baby back to his nursing bed. Kya still needed to rest. We've been staking out at the hospital for a several days now. Still haven't seen Tabitha or Rachel anywhere. I looked at Angel. She was more anxious than us. I don't blame her. Knowing that two people you don't like are after you, is more likely gonna put you on edge.
She's even more worried about Kya being in the hospital alone. But Kya said that she'll call her if she finds anything suspicious. Plus Bailey has been a bigger help by using her visions. I looked around, hoping I'd see Tabitha. I wanted to end her more than anything. "Man fuck this." Mike said, as he got out the car. "Mike where are you going?" Bailey asked.
"I'm going to find Rachel or Tabitha. They can't be far. I know they know we're out here. So why not go get em?" He said. "Because we don't know where they are." Angel said. "Well I'm sick of waiting. I'm sick of being on edge that they'll pop out and kill us." He said, as he walked away. Me and Kyle got out and followed him. "Mike!! Mike!!" I called. He didn't listen. Kyle stopped him.
"Mike don't do this man. Look, we're tired and sick of hiding too but what can we do?" I asked. "Uh, go find that bitch? You said you and her used to go to an abandoned house as a hideout." He said. "Yeah Ace. She might be there." Kyle said. "And what if she's not? Then we just left Kya and her baby vulnerable." I said. "We won't know until we go see. The girls can stay here. Angel is already ready to kill." He said.
"Yeah. Angel will be able to handle things. Besides, she's been around you for so long, she probably picked up your craziness." Kyle said. I made a face. "Fine." I said. We walked back to the car. "Guys we're gonna go find Tabitha. We think she might be at that abandoned house we went to Angel." I said. She shook her head. "Ace. That's too dangerous." She said. "Angel come on." I said. She shook her head.
"I don't know how that bitch's mind works, but I don't want to risk losing you." She said. "Angel I'll be fine." I said. "Ace, she paralyzed you last time y'all were alone together." She said. "This time, I won't be drinking anything. Plus, I'm gonna snap her neck first chance I get." I said. "No you're not. I am." She said. "Look we argue when I eat back." I said. "Wha-Ace!" She said.
"Love you!!" I yelled over my shoulder. Me and the guys transformed and headed for the woods. I ran while Kyle and Mike flew above me. They let me lead the search, as only I knew the abandoned house was. We finally came to it and walked inside. We carefully looked around while in our forms. Kyle was the only one not his bat form. "It's too quiet in here. I don't like that." He said.
We carefully walked upstairs and looked around. I checked the rooms carefully, sniffing around for any scent that might give us a clue as to where Rachel and Tabitha are. I looked over and saw Mike was in his human form. I wasn't taking no chances. "This place gives me the creeps." Mike said. "Yeah. Ace, y'all really like this place? It's so old and decrepit." Kyle said. I looked at him and gave him a look.
"Don't look at me like that. Look at this place. It's so old and decrepit. Like honestly, what made y'all decide this so the perfect hangout spot?" He asked. I transformed. "Look, when you're a bitter asshole, you no longer fear anything." I said. "We see that." Mike said. We tracked through the old rumbled house. I looked down the hall and saw Kyle go into the room Tabitha dragged me to.
He gasped and gagged. "What?" Mike alder. Kyle pointed into the room before throwing up. Mike walked in and then threw up. "Jesus Christ!!" He said. Then he threw up some more. "What is it?" I asked, as I looked into the room. I gasped and gagged at the sight before me. Rachel's body was torn to shreds. There was a large open hole in her torso. Her insides hung above and beside her body.
Blood was everywhere. Rachel had her eyes open. Her arms and legs were spread wide as the blood stained the bed underneath her. Sprawled across the wall above her dead body was, You should've left Angel when you could Ace. I then started throwing up. "Jesus Christ that is messed up, even for Tabitha." I said. "Looks like she's gonna off the deep end." Kyle said.
"We need to get the fuck out of here." Mike said. The three of us quickly ran downstairs and out the door. We transformed and ran away. Suddenly, we heard a buzzing noise. Then I felt something wrap around my waist. It looked down as it dragged me back towards the house. "Ace!!" Kyle cried. He and Mike came running back to help me. I hit the house with a loud thud. Mike transformed and clawed at the wires that held me.
I did the same. Then I was freed. I looked down and saw I had wire marks on my body. We took off running back into the woods. We ran and ran until we got back to the hospital. We walked over to the car and got in. "So what happened?" Angel asked. "Did you guys find Rachel or Tabitha?" Rose asked. "We found Rachel." Kyle said. "So lets go finish her." Angel said.
"No. Tabitha already did." Mike said. He pulled out his phone and showed them. They all gasped and gagged. "Oh my Jesus Christ!!" Angel cried. "That's fucked up on so many levels." Bailey said. "I can't look anymore." Rose said. The three of them all threw up. "That's so fucked up man." Angel said. I shook my head. "I don't know what it is about you Ace that Tabitha wants it's too much." Bailey said.
"I don't know what you guys want me to do." I said. "Do something!! That could've been any one of us!!" Rose cried. "She's right. Ace." Angel said. I looked at her. She had tears in her eyes. "Ace you need to be with her. We can't keep doing this." She said. "Angel no-" She cut me off. "No Ace!! Rose is right. We can't keep this up. Being on our guard constantly. It's getting to me. Every girl I look at, I think it's Tabitha." She said.
"Ace, Angel is right. You need to go to Tabitha. I don't think k any of us can take much more of this. Being all paranoid and shit ain't cutting it for me. You have to go be with Tabitha. After seeing what happened to Rachel, imagine that being me. Or Mike. Or Kya. Or even Angel. Tabitha is insane. It's best now to give her what she wants: you." Kyle said. I shook my head. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
"Ace please." Angel said. "But I love you Angel." I said, lowly. "I know Ace but think about what Kyle just said. Do you want us to spend the rest of our lives hiding? Living in fear that some psychotic bitch is out there, ripping people apart and blowing up innocent people just so she can end me?! You need to leave. We're only thinking about our safety. I'm sorry Ace, but none of us are safe with you around." She said.
I felt a tear go down my cheek. I quickly wiped it away and got out the car. I slammed the door so hard, the glass broke. I transformed and ran away. I was so mad. I ran and ran. I didn't even know where I was going. I just knew I had to get away from here. Get away from everywhere. My mind raced with all the memories of every bad event thats ever happened to me. My parents abandoned me. Angel left me.
Angel and I were reunited. Me and Chris continued to be at each other's throats. Angel and her friends become mutants and move in with us. Me and Angel end up going at each other's throats. I become jealous of all the attention Angel gets just because she's a really talented surfer. Then Angel gets attacked by a shark. I save her but end up regretting it once she says she's not giving up surfing. I shook my head as I ran faster.
Then I end up telling Angel my whole life story. I was unhappy and miserable my entire life. I didn't want her pity or anyone else's. Then Angel and I make a bet to teach me how to surf. I crash and burn after me and Angel get into a heated argument. She saves me and we kissed. Then Angel calls the kiss a mistake. Me and Angel end up being together.
Then our trip to Italy ends sourly when I accidentally gave Angel bruises. Then Tabitha shows up and makes my life hell. Rachel becomes even more of a bitch to Angel. Then everything spirals out of control. Kya swings by and announces she's pregnant. Angel tries to help her. Then Tabitha almost killed me, Kya, and Angel by blowing up McDonald's. I ran faster with every bad memory.
Then Douglas says he never loved me and that hurt my feelings. Tabitha and Rachel both start tell me two complete different stories on who started this war against Angel. I shook my head as I continued running. Then Chris almost rapes Angel and nearly gave her AIDS. Then Christian passes away. Angel just found out her parents are alive and well. Tabitha drugs me and nearly kills me.
Then me and Kya are attacked. My relationship with Angel starts to become strained and on the rocks. Then Kya gives birth and names her after Christian. I shook my head as I ran faster. I arrived at Douglas's house. I transformed and ringed the doorbell. Douglas opened the door and stared at me. I didn't even say anything and he hugged me. "Whatever it is Ace, I'm here for you." He said.
I broke down crying in his arms. We walked in the house and I cried for who knows how long. I ended up crying myself to sleep. When I woke up, Douglas was still beside me. He looked at me. "Hey Ace. How you feel now?" He asked. I sat up. "Still shitty." I said. "So what happened?" He asked. I explained to him everything from Kya giving birth to everything Kyle said. "Well it sounds like they're right. Ace, this is Tabitha." He said.
I nodded. "The same bitch who made me and Christina lose our first baby. I never liked Tabitha and remember all those times I was telling you to leave her alone?" He asked. I nodded. "I was young and dumb." I said. "Well now you know better." He said. "So what should I do? I don't want to put those I love in Tabitha's way but I don't want to leave anybody." I said. "I'm sorry Ace but I think that's what you should do." He said.
I looked at him. "Douglas. I don't want to do that. I don't want to leave Angel or Kyle or any of my friends just because Tabitha is freaking them out." I said. "Ace what do you want to do?" He asked. "I just want this nightmare to end!!" I cried. He nodded. Then he sighed. "Now normally I don't condone violence but I do think you need to end Tabitha once and for all." He said. "How?" I asked. "Set a trap. Get her to come out of hiding." He said.
"How?" I asked. "Give her a bait she can't refuse. Either Angel or Kya's baby, Christian." He said. "No way. I'm risking either of their lives." I said. "That's the only baits she's really gonna be tempted to take." He said. "If I give her Kya's baby, Kya will rip my head off. If I give her Angel, she'll go in for the kill." I said. "Do what you gotta do Ace." He said. Just then, I heard a baby crying. I looked around and saw a baby monitor.
He sighed and stood up. "How's Dad life treating you?" I asked. "Harsh. Your baby sister is so energetic." He said. I stared at him. "Oh yeah. Me and Christina are still gonna adopted you." He said. I smiled and hugged him. "And Ace I'm sorry what I said. I was just hurt that you think I don't love you." He said. "Yeah I was just in a bad mindset." I said. We walked upstairs to a baby room. We walked past a room and I saw a sleeping Christina.
"Yeah she needed her rest after these past eleven months." He said. "Yeah. I see that." I said. He picked up the baby girl and rocked her. "Here." He said, as he gave me to her. "No no no." I said. But it was too late. "I'm kinda scared." I said. I looked down at her as she cooed at me. Then her eye changed colors. "She's a mutant like us Ace. Her shield is still growing." Douglas said.
I smiled. "One day, your kids will do the same." He said. I scoffed. "Well after hearing Kya screaming her lungs out last week, I don't think Angel wants tha right now." I said. "Oh yeah. Rose told me all about it." He said. "What's her name?" I asked. "Layla." He said. "You'll never guess Kya's baby's name." I said. "What?" He asked. "Christian." I said. He gasped.
"Yeah. Her and Angel wanted to honor him, especially for saving Angel's life. They really loved him." I said. "He was a great man. I hope Rachel gets what she deserves. Not honoring a man whose stuck by your side for over twenty years?" He said. Then he shook his head. "Oh Rachel got hers." I said. I looked at him. "What?" He asked. "Tabitha got to her. Tore her to shreds. You remember that old abandoned house me and Tabitha used to go to?" I asked.
He nodded. "Go there. Go upstairs, there's a room at the end of the hall. Rachel is there. I'm telling the sight was so bad, me and the guys and the girls all threw up. That's how terrible it is." I said. Douglas left the house for about ten minutes then he came back. He looked disgusted. "I can't believe Tabitha would do such a thing. I mean I get that this is for all the shit Rachel has ever done but that is just brutal." He said.
I nodded. "Yeah. That's why Angel ask Kyle told me to stay away. And I now agree. I don't know what I'd do if any one of them were to end up like that. I'd lose my mind." I said. "So what are you gonna do?" He asked. "I'm gonna end this. Tabitha thinks she's in the lead, but she's not. I can figure it out." I said. "I don't know Ace. When it comes to being a completely insane psychopath, Tabitha is the one." He said.
"I will admit I'm playing her game. But I know I can beat her." I said. "What are you going to do?" He asked. I smirked as I told him my plan. "I don't know if Angel is gonna go for that." He said. "She has no choice. If she wants to survive." I said.
