Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: New Student

Lucky's POV:

"Lucky!!!!" Mom yelled. I groaned and rolled over. The covers were then ripped off my body. I groaned louder and tucked myself into a fetus position. "Get up!!! You have school today mister." She said. She walked over to the windows and opened the blinds. I groaned even louder and sat up. "Oh my God. Do I really need school? It's just a prison for underage people that teaches you useless stuff." I said. She glared at me. "Be downstairs in ten minutes or your grounded." She said, as she walked out the room. I flipped back on the bed and thrashed around. I reluctantly got up and headed to the bathroom to take a shower. I let the warm water wash over me. I kept dozing off so I set the water to cold. It immediately woke me up. I went to my room and got dressed. I brushed my teeth and brushed my hair. I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs.

Mom looked at me then smiled. "Good. Your good to go." She said. I tilted my head to the side. Say what? Dude. Look around at the clues. I looked at her outfit. It was black lace and sorta see through. I looked at Dad. He was staring her. Hard. EWWWWWWW!!!! I quickly grabbed my bag and a pop tart and ran out the house. "Bye love you!!" I said, quickly. I ran to my car and got inside. I drove off without looking back. That's disgusting. I'm with you on that. No one should have to hear their parents having sex. That's the worst thing imaginable. I shivered. I drove to school and parked in the parking lot. I got out and saw Marcus talking to someone. I ran up to him. "Hey man." I said. Marcus looked at me and smiled. "Hey Lucky. Look whose back." He said. I saw Aaliyah smiling at me. I smiled at her. "Aaliyah!!! Oh my God dude. It's been so long." I said.

She nodded. "Yeah it has. Longest two weeks of my life. But hey, I went shopping during my break." She said. "Girl, you already got too much clothes." I said. "And? I like shopping and makeup." She said. I rolled my eyes and hugged her. Then I caught a whiff of something. Is this vanilla? I sniffed her some more. "Uh Lucky? What are you doing?" She asked. "What's this on you?" I asked, curiously. "My perfume?" She said. I sniffed her again. "No. You don't usually wear perfume that smells like this." I said. "Oh. What does it smell like?" She asked, curiously. "Vanilla." I said. "Yeah. I smelt that too. Did you buy new perfume?" Marcus asked. "I did but none smells like vanilla." She said. Then she gasped. "I have a new roommate that smells like vanilla." She said. "The Magic Council got a new roomie for y'all?" Marcus asked.

"Oh yeah. But she's human." She said. "Human?" I repeated. "No way. The Magic Council don't pick up humans. They leave them alone." Marcus said. "Not this one. They see something in her." She said, as she walked towards the school. Me and Marcus walked beside her. "Her?" Marcus repeated. "Oh yeah. It's a girl." Aaliyah said. "So who is she?" I asked, curiously. "Oh you guys are gonna love her. Her name is Angel." She said. "Is she one?" I asked. She looked at me. "What do you mean?" She asked. "Like, is she and angel or is she mean?" I asked, curiously. "She's an Angel. Too much of one. She's too nice but she's sweet." She said. We walked to the cafeteria to get breakfast. "So when do we get to meet her?" Marcus asked. "Soon." Said a voice. We turned around to see Kacey coming up to us. "Hey Kacey." Aaliyah said, hugging her. "Kacey you know this new girl?" I asked.

"Yep. She's my best friend." She said, happily. "So how come you don't talk about her?" Marcus asked. "Well she didn't go to our school but she does now. And I talk about her, just not with you guys." She said. "Lucky?" Said a voice. I turned around to see Meghan. I smiled. "Meghan." I said, hugging her. She grinned and hugged me and Marcus. "Hey Meghan. God it's so cool to see you again. Think you and Aaliyah can stop fighting each other?" Marcus asked. Aaliyah and Meghan looked at each other. "Probably not." She said. "One day, y'all gon kill each other." I said. "Sooner than later if this bitch keep staring shit." Aaliyah said. "Bitch, you the one who keep picking fights." Meghan said. I rolled my eyes. I sniffed the air. Both Meghan and Kacey had the same vanilla scent Aaliyah has. "So Kacey, you said something about the new roomie they have?" I said. She looked at me. "Oh yeah. She's coming later." She said.

"Along with some other people whose coming to our new school." Aaliyah said, smiling. "Wait we're getting new students?" Marcus asked, curiously. "Yep. The Magic Council transferred three new students." She said. "Two of them are your mates." Kacey said. I groaned. "I totally forgot about that." I said. "Me too. Kacey, can we not meet them?" Marcus said. Kacey stared at us before her eyes became slanted like a cat's. Her eyes growled pink. "Okay okay. Where do we meet them?" I asked. Kacey was scary when she's pissed. "You'll meet them later on, in P.E." She said. "Yay." I said, unenthusiastically. She hit me. "Don't do that." Meghan said. "Why not? Me and Lucky aren't ready to settle for mates." Marcus said. "Trust me. You guys are gonna love Angel and Keisha." Kacey said.

The bell rung and we walked to our classes. Mannnn. What's up? I don't want a mate. I don't want o be tied down to anyone. But dude, we can't just hop from one person to the next for the rest of our lives. I do. Your just heartless. I can't see myself as someone's husband. That's not a name I want for myself. Just see what the girl looks like. If you don't like her, then no mates. Fine. I walked towards my class before I felt an arm go around my waist. I turned to see the boy from last week. "Lucky can we talk?" He asked. "No. I'm not getting with you." I said. "Oh come on. We could have a good relationship." He said. "No." I said, firmly before walking into my class. The class was boring. The boy kept tryna pass notes to me, asking if we could be together.

I got in trouble because one of the notes reached me and the teacher saw it. It was annoying. He was annoying. I tried to ignore him but he was persistent. "Lucky." He whispered. It took everything in me not to turn around and snap his neck. "Lucky, is there something you would like to share with the class?" The teacher asked. "Yeah. Can I move to the back?" I asked. "Why?" She asked. "I'm being distracted by someone I can't stand." I said, harshly. She stared at me before making me swapping places with someone who sits in the back. Now the boy couldn't turn around to look at me without getting in trouble. He left me alone since. This seat was now my seat. I didn't want him anywhere near me. The bell rung finally and I bolted out the door. He tried to follow me. I got annoyed. What is so hard for him to understand? I don't. Want. A fucking. Relationship.

"Lucky please!!" He pleaded as he grabbed my hand. That's it!! I turned around and swung on him. I punched him over and over til someone wrapped their arms around me and pulled me away. "Lucky chill bro!!!" Marcus shouted. He pulled me into the boy's bathroom. "Dude what the fuck was that?" He cried. "He wouldn't leave me alone!!!" I said. "What?" He asked. I sighed. "Last week, he gave me head and now he thinks I want a relationship with him. I don't want a relationship with him. Or with anyone." I said. He sighed. "Look man. I'm not ready to meet my mate either but we can't avoid them forever. In our world, we have to meet our mates. It's nature's law. We have to come face to face with them one day. There's no avoiding this." He said. I sighed.

"Your right." I said. "Now come on. We got biology next." He said. I rolled my eyes. Ugh. He opened the door and we walked out to see the boy being helped up by some teachers. He was bleeding. Badly. I didn't mean to snap like that. But he wouldn't leave us alone. True. We walked to our biology classroom. It was being. We got to watch a documentary on some science shit. I dozed off and fell asleep. "Lucky?" Marcus called. I looked around. "What's up?" I called. I felt arms to around me. "Where'd you go?" He asked, curiously. The hell? "I didn't go anywhere." I said. "Why'd you leave me?" He asked. I turned around to face him. "Marcus I didn't go anywhere." I said. This isn't like him. Marcus are you feeling okay?" I asked, curiously. Without warning, he then kissed me. It was passionate but wasn't him.

I backed up. "Marcus what- what are you doing?" I asked. "Lucky, I'm sorry for not telling you my true feelings for you. I like you Lucky. A lot." He said, as he came near me. I was turned on but frightened. This isn't Marcus. He's never like this. "Marcus look-" I was cut off by his kisses. He picked me up and pushed me up against a wall. If this is a dream, I'm taking full advantage. I pulled Marcus closer to me and kissed him harder. He moved his lips to my neck. I moaned to his touch. He took us to a room and laid me down. He got on top and kissed me. I didn't want this to end. I tried to take control but he wouldn't let me. "Uh Uh. I'm Daddy tonight." He said, as he tore my shirt off. I did the same. I never seen this side of Marcus but I loved it.

He then undid my belt and lick the tip of my dick. I groaned. His warm mouth around me was overwhelming. He bobbed his head on me, making me roll my eyes to back of my head. Breathe Lucky. Breathe. "Lucky." Marcus whispered. I moaned his name. "Lucky." He said again. I tried to speak but I couldn't. I couldn't find my voice. "Lucky?!" Marcus called louder. It made me opened my eyes. "LUCKY!" Marcus yelled. I opened my eyes. "Huh? What?" I said. "Bro wake up." He said. I looked around. The classroom was nearly empty. "Come on man. We gotta go to art class." He said. He walked ahead of me. I started to stand up before I looked down to see I was hard. Shit. "Lucky, you coming?" He asked. "Yeah. In a minute." I said. He waited for me. "Marcus, go ahead. I'll meet you there." I said. He stared at me before walking off.

Nice one. It wasn't my fault. Well it damn sure ain't mine. What do I do? Go somewhere cold. I stood up and covered myself with my bag. I ran to the bathroom and splashed cold water on me. It helped a lot. My swelling went down. I can't do this again. No more wet dreams during school. I grabbed my bag and quickly ran to my art class. I walked in to see the crew sitting at our usual table. Kacey looked up at me and smiled. "There he is." She said. The gang looked up at me. "Lucky, where'd you go?" Aaliyah asked. "Had to use the bathroom." I said, as I stand down. "I can guess why." Meghan muttered. Kacey snickered. I glared at them both. "Fuck y'all." I said. The class went on. We had to draw some pictures and turned it in. The theme was forest. I loved the woods. I've always wanted to wander into a snowy forest and get lost in it. Being out in nature made me happy. I felt free and at home. No drama, no relationships, nothing.

I'm free to be me. "Hey Lucky, you ready?" Marcus asked. "Ready for what?" I asked, as I drew the last flower for my forest. "To meet our mates. After lunch, it's PE." He said. I groaned. "Don't remind me." I said. "Dude, stop." Meghan said. "What? I don't want a mate." I said. "You don't even know who your mate is. So how you gon diss somebody you never even met?" Aaliyah said. "She's right." Marcus said. "Who side you on?" I asked, curiously. "The side that's not dissing their mates." He said. I glared at him. "Who knows Lucky? Maybe we'll like our mates." He said. I frowned. This is not good. He's right though. Maybe our mate will be meant for us. Man whatever. As class went on, everyone was pretty much against me on this whole 'mate' thing. I wanted them to see it my way.

I've never been one to be in a relationship. I couldn't do it. "Lucky, let's go." Kacey said, as she packed up her things. The bell rung. Thank God. I was ready for lunch. I was hungry. All I had was a pop tart. We all packed up and headed to the lunchroom. We had sloppy joes. They didn't taste like the ones you make at home. We went to lunch and got our food and sat down at our table. I looked around. Everyone was talking very excitedly about something. "Kacey, what's everyone talking about?" I asked, curiously. "The new students, one being your mate." She said. I ignored the last part. "So when are they getting here?" I asked, curiously. "Their were supposed to be in our classes but they had to be afterwards." Aaliyah said. I tried to listen carefully on everyone's conversations. "Did you see her hair? So curly. So purple." "Did you see his tattoos? Their sick."

"She looked so mean. Her hair was cute but her face was mean." There were so many other conversations about these new students. I wanted to know what these new kids looked like. The one that caught my ear was one about purple hair. I gotta be on the lookout for someone with purple, curly hair. I looked around for anyone with that description. Nobody. Though I did see some kids staring at me. They stared at me as is stared them down. Didn't know if they knew me or not, so I made my eyes look scary. I made my pupils slanted like a cat's and glowed red. They looked away but stole glances at me. I eventually got up and walked over to them. "Lucky, where you going?" Marcus called. I ignored him. "Y'all got a problem?" I asked. They turned away. Except one. "Aren't you the one who beat Dennis earlier?" He asked. "Dude shhh." A kid said.

"So what?" I said. He shook his head and looked down at his plate. I rolled my eyes and walked out the cafeteria. I walked to the bathroom. I splashed water on my face. I stared at myself in the mirror. I hate myself. I hate the way I am. Don't say that. I'm supposed to be meeting my mate soon. I'm not ready. I'm not the relationship type. I heard the door open behind me. I sniffed the air. Grapes. Marcus. "Lucky?" He said. "Hmm?" I said. "You good bro?" He asked, curiously. "Yeah." I said. I turned around. He had a worried look on his face. "What?" I asked. "Lucky I'm worried about you bro. You've been acting strange today." He said. I crossed my arms. "I've been stressed out." I said. "Over this mate thing? Lucky get over it man." He said. "I can't help it. Just like my feelings for you." I said. His eyes flowed yellow.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "Is that what your dream was about earlier?" He asked. "What?" I asked. "Your fell asleep earlier in class." He said. I scoffed. "Okay I had a wet dream about you. So what?" I said. He shook his head. "Lucky, why you so mad?" He asked, irritably. "I'm mad because you won't let me fuck you and I'm mad because I'm gonna meet my mate in five minutes." I said. "Okay one, you gotta get you fucking me out of your head. Two, is that so bad? You might like him or her." He said. I slid my back against the wall. I sighed. "I'm just not sure Marcus." I said. "Lucky, what's up?" He asked. "Remember my last relationship?" I asked. He nodded. "You won't have a repeat of what happened last time." He said.

"How do you know that?" I asked. "Trust me man. Not all girls are like your ex." He said. Then the bell rung. I stuck my hand out for him to help me up. "I hope your right." I said. We walked out the bathroom and headed to our next class. God I hope Marcus is right.
