Angel's POV:
After Caleb slipped out on me, I drunkenly wobbled back downstairs. I looked around and saw Skylar and Riley sitting on the staircase. I walked down and sat behind them. "Hey guys." I said, slurring my words. Whoa. Am I drunk? "Hey Angel. Where you've been?" Riley asked. "Upstairs. Oh my God you guys will not believe what Caleb and I just did." I said. "Oh same here!! Same here!! You won't believe what Kyle just did to me!" Skylar exclaimed, excitedly.
"Oh tell me."'I said. "Okay so we were also upstairs in a room and he fingered me and ate me out!!" Skylar said. Then she squealed. "Yo!! The same thing happened to me. Ramón got tricks!!" Riley said. "So does Caleb. Oh my God. He was so dominant. I loved it!!" I said. We all squealed. "But then they suddenly left." Skylar said. "Yeah. Caleb took off without telling me why." I said. "Ramón too. He just said he'll be right back." Riley said.
I shrugged. "I'm hungry. Let's go eat." Skylar said. "Oooh I'm in the mood for ice cream." I said. "Totally!! Let's go to Dairy Queen." Riley said. The three of us made our way through the sea of people. We managed to make it out the front door. We stumbled around in our drunken state towards town. We saw a McDonald's and walked towards it instead. "Hi. Can we have some ice cream please?" Skylar asked.
"Sorry. The ice cream machine is broke right now." The cashier said. "Oh so the memes were true." Riley said. We all laughed and walked out. We walked down the street and saw Dairy Queen. We walked over to it. We stumbled inside and fell down. We all laughed. "Are you girls all right?" A lady asked. I nodded. "Oh yes we're fine. Just hungry." I said. The lady sniffed us and grimaced. "You girls smell like alcohol." She said.
We giggled. "We may have been drinking a bit." Skyler said. We walked over to the counter. "So let's see....I want that third one. The peanut butter parfait." I said. "Ooooh I want one too!!" Skylar said. "Me too!! It looks so good!!" Riley said. We sat down and waited for our parfaits. After we got them, we walked out. The lady offered to take us home but we refused. We walked around while eating our parfaits. "Oh my God I'm so glad Dairy Queen added this to their menu." Skylar said.
"Me too. It's a life saver." I said, giggling. We walked around til we came back to the party. We went upstairs and went into a room. We laid down on the bed and soon fell asleep. We woke up to someone falling on us. We sat up and got lightheaded. "Oh! Oh my head." I said. "Oh my God. My fucking head." Riley said. "Ugggghhhh. I feel like shut." Skylar said. "What time is it?" Riley asked. I felt for my phone and pulled it out.
I looked at the time. "Ten forty five." I said. "Ugh." Riley said. "What happened?" Skylar asked. "We got drunk and now we have hangovers." I said. "Never again." Riley said. "Come on. Let's go downstairs." I said. "Yeah I need to find my friend anyways." Skylar said. We got up and headed downstairs. I looked around and saw there were still a lot of people partying. "Damn all these people. How will we find your friend?" Riley asked.
"Let's split up. She's gotta be around here somewhere." Skylar said. We split up and searched the whole house for Skylar's friend. There was now sign of her. Everyone said that they saw her leave the house with some guys. "Oh that's just great." Skylar said. She shook her head. "Her girlfriend is gonna kill her when she gets back." She said. "Let's go find her. She can't be far." I said. We walked out the front door and outside.
We walked up and down the streets looking for Skylar's friend. We called out her name for her but nothing. We even went to town and asked people if they'd seen her. No one has. "Ah shit. No one's seen her." Riley said. "Dude there's no way one girl can go with some guys and not be seen by people in town." Skylar said. "She's gotta be around here somewhere." I said. We walked around some more. We turned a corner and came to an alleyway. We seen shadows lurking in the back.
There, we saw a bunch of dudes standing around with guns in their hands. A man frantically spoke in Russian. He had his hands tied up, blood dripping down his face. It appears that he was trying frantically to plead with them not to kill him. Suddenly one of them shot one of them in the head. His body dropped to the ground with a thud. Blood poured out. I gasped loudly. They all turned around and looked at us. "Angel!!" Riley hissed. I quickly turned around and ran away.
The girls ran after me. "GET THEM!!" Someone yelled behind me. Me and the girls ran as fast as we could. I could heard running footsteps right behind me. My heart pounded so hard in my chest. I then made a sharp turn and ran into the woods. Me and the girls ran and ran until we came to a tree. We crouched down and hid behind a bush. I peeked my head up and saw a bunch of dudes running around, looking for us. Tears streamed down our faces.
Oh my God oh my God OH MY God!!! "Oh my God we're gonna die." Skylar whispered. "No! No we're not gonna die." Riley said. I kept quiet as I saw the men come closer to us. We all whimpered. I looked up and debated whether or not we should climb up the tree. "Maybe we should climb the tree?" I asked. "What? No!! They'd see us and probably shoot us." Riley whispered. "Well we gotta do something. They're nearly here." Skylar said.
"We keep running?" I suggested. Suddenly, I was grabbed from behind. I looked up to see the girls and I have been captured. We let out bloodcurdling scream. "Riley!! Your powers!!" I said. Riley then touched the dude who held her. His arms began to freeze up. He cried out in pain. Then a guy hit her hard with his rifle. I screamed. Skylar was also hit. Then I felt something hard hit the back of my head.
Then everything went black. I opened my eyes and looked around. I'm in a room? I sat up and looked around. I stood up and walked towards the door. I tried to turn the knob but it wouldn't budge. I bent down and looked through the keyhole. I looked around for something I could use. I searched the room for something useful. Then I saw a rusty paperclip. I picked it up and unfolded one end. I put it through the keyhole and unlocked the door.
I carefully walked out into the hall. I looked around and saw a stairway with a beautiful fountain in the middle of it. I don't know why but I took out my phone and took a picture.
I saw something shiny in it. I walked over to it and looked down. I saw what looked like a micro chip. I picked it up and looked at it. Then the sound of thunder hit, making me jump. Then I heard laughter. I looked around and saw light down the hall. I walked towards it. I crouched down and hid behind a plant. I saw a bunch of men sitting around on couches laughing, drinking, and smoking. Then I saw Wanda. She laughed at something one of the men said and spoke Russian.
Then Gustavo appeared. He came over to her and sat down between her legs. Wanda? Gustavo? What the hell is going on?! I watched as they all all laughed and had a good time together. I gotta get outta here. I looked around and made my way back down the hall. I was so lost. I saw other doors I approached one and attempted to open it but it was locked. I heard someone crying on the other side. I looked down and unlocked the door. I opened it and saw Skylar. She looked up at me.
She gasped and ran over to me. "Oh my God Angel!! I was so scared. What's going on? Where are we?" She asked, worriedly. "I don't know love. But I saw my boss and her husband, Wanda and Gustavo. The people from the party. They're here." I said. "What? Good. Maybe we can ask them if they can help us get out of here." She said. "No!! No. Look Sky, I don't know what it is, but I got a bad feeling about this. Something is not right. We need to get out of here." I said.
"How? You see the doors were locked from the outside." She said. She paused and looked at me. "How did you get out?" She asked. "I found a paperclip and used it to get out. Come on. We gotta find Riley." I said. We walked carefully back out into the hallway. I looked at Skylar and noticed she had blood dripping down the back of her head. "Here Sky. You're bleeding at the back of your head." I said. I took off my jacket and gave it to her.
"Thanks." She said, as she applied pressure to her head. We walked further down the halls. There were so many doors, most of which were unlocked. We checked every room til we finally found Riley. She jumped us and hugged us. "Boy am I glad to see you guys." She said. "Same here." Skylar said. "Where are we?" Riley asked. "Doesn't matter. We need to get out of here. My boss and her husband are here." I said. "Isn't that good? Maybe they can help us." Riley said. "No. Something is not right." I said.
"Yeah what is they knew we were here and didn't help us?" Skylar asked. "So where do we go?" Riley asked. "I don't know but we need to get out of here." I said. We briskly walked down the hall and came to some stairs. We walked up them. Riley looked out a window. "Holy shit. There's guards everywhere." She said. We looked out the window and sure enough, they was guards at every entrance and exit. "So how do we get out of here? Those guards all have guns." Skylar said.
"Yeah Angel. We'd be shot if we so much peek our heads out." Riley said. "Well we can't stay here. I mean those dudes kidnapped us." I said. "Maybe we can go out a window and climb down the roof." Skylar said. We looked at her. "Are you crazy? We'd been shot dead." Riley said. "No look. There's a pool down there. We climb down that window over there and we'll fall in the pool." She said. "Oh sure Skylar. We fall right into a pool which won't make any noise." I said.
"Yeah sounds like the perfect plan." Riley said. "Look do you a better one?" She asked. "We do climb down that window but not into that pool." I said. "Wait guys. There's a greenhouse over there." Riley said. "So?" I said. "So the greenhouse looks like it leads out to the woods. We hide in there an d find our way back to the road." She said. "Okay let's do that." I said. We walked up the stairs and down the halls. We searched in the rooms for windows to climb out of.
We had to be careful though. Some rooms were filled with people and guards. We needed to find a room that had a red ribbon on it. That's the window we needed to climb out of. Luckily, we found it. We carefully entered the room and saw the window but there was a little girl sleeping. I looked at the girls. "We gotta be careful not to wake her." I said. They nodded. Riley went over and silently opened the window. The sound of rain filled the room. Riley crawled out first.
She made her way down the ladder. Then Skylar. She went down. Then it was my turn. I put my foot out onto the ladder. I managed to get my whole body out before I looked up and gasped. What I saw scared me. The girl was awake. She stared at me. I froze, not sure of what to do. "Who are you?" She asked, with a heavy Russian accent. "I'm a friend." I said. She must've not bought it because she began to call for her Dad. "Guys go!!" I cried.
We began to crawl down the ladder. We reached the bottom and ran over to the greenhouse. Then we heard sirens. Then dogs barking. "Ah shit!! We're gonna die!!" Skylar cried. "No!! Let's see if this greenhouse leads to the woods." I said. We saw a door in the back of the greenhouse but we just saw more flowers. But the tent was easily breakable. We scratched and tore at the fabric and it gave way. We ran out and hopped over a fence.
We ran and ran further into the woods with guards dogs barking furiously behind us. I looked at the girls. They ran beside me. We ran and ran til we saw road. We put and headed straight for town. We didn't make it. We couldn't run fast enough so we ran back into the woods and hid behind a tree. "What are we doing? We can't stop here!! They'll catch us again." Riley said. "Well we don't have the stamina to run. So we're going to fly." I said. "What?! Angel no. You crazy?" Riley said.
"Yeah Angel you know we can't fly in rain. Rain makes it hard for us to fly." Skylar said. "What other choice do we have?" I asked. They looked at each other. "Aw man." Riley said. We turned around and called out wings. We heard dogs barking furiously behind us. I looked down and saw dogs barking. I also saw guards glaring at us. Then they spread their wings. I know you fucking lying. We flew faster. "Angel I can't-" Skylar was cut off when she suddenly fell. She had an arrow in her left wing.
Me and Riley flew low to catch her. "You see Angel? We can't fly in rain!! It's too dangerous!!" Riley cried. "They don't have a problem with it!!" I said, motioning to the guards. She looked behind and chuckled. "Actually they are." She said. I looked behind me to see the guards all struggling to fly straight. I began to dip. "Okay so we can't fly right now. Let's land. Look! We're already close to town." I said. "Okay good. Then maybe-" Riley was cut off by something hitting her in her wing.
She cried out in pain. I looked at her wings and saw an arrow in her right wing. She began to fall to the ground. She flapped her wings, trying to slow her fall. I flew low and trying to hold Skylar and Riley but they were too heavy for me. We fell to the ground. I hit the ground hard. I heard laughter from far away. "We gotta em boys!!" Someone said. I breathed hard. We are gonna die. I heard engines approaching is fast. I looked at Skylar and Riley. They struggled to get up. "Come on guys. We gotta run." I said. "Angel...my wings." Skylar said.
"Mine too. Owww!! Fuck!!" Riley cried. "Their coming!! They're gonna get us if we don't move!!" I said. I helped them up and walked ahead. We didn't get far as cars pulled up, surrounding us. I sighed in defeat. Shit. One door opened and I saw someone I've never been more happy to see. "Angel!!" Peter cried. He ran over to me. "Peter!!" I cried. Me and him hugged each other. "Peter, you have to help us!! Skylar and Riley have arrows in their wings. Some goons are chasing us!!" I said. He looked at them.
"Get in the car." He said. He helped us into the cars. When we were safely inside, he looked at me. "Angel what happened?" He asked. I opened my mouth but a gunshot sounded. A bullet pierced both of my wings. I cried out in pain. Blood poured from my wings. "Oh no..." I mumbled. "Drive faster!!" Peter order. He looked at me. "Angel you gotta stay awake. Stay awake!!" He cried. I couldn't. The pain was too much. Wings carry three times more blood than our human bodies do.
If they get pierced, it's worse than any pain you could ever imagine. From what I've heard, it's like having contractions and giving birth times a thousand. I never experienced pain like this before. "Angel!! Stay awake!! We're almost there." Peter said. I couldn't stay awake. The pain was too much. I've lost a lot of blood. I passed out.
