The weather was perfect today now that the large clouds had covered the bright rays of the sun beating down on my sensitive pale skin.
I swore if I could see my face in the mirror, I would appear like I had too much blush-on because I forgot to wear any sunblock.
My face and my arms felt hot and sore from the sunlight's blisters.
I was sure I wasn't a vampire but why did it hurt?
Lysander broke me out of my random thoughts when he repeated his question.
"Why are you here, Leif?"
Narrowing my eyes, I shifted from foot to foot as I waited for Leif's answer.
Anything that would come out from his mouth would sound suspicious to me.
The guy tried to kill me before.
He couldn't be trusted.
Raising his palms in a placatory gesture, Leif replied, "I was working out and just happened to pass by here."
There was an awkward pause as I tried to process his alibi.
