Bomin happily skips to his cousin's classroom, which coincidentally, is also the classroom of Minhee. In his hand, a box full of mini donuts swings back and forth as he makes his way to his senior's classroom.
Finally arriving, he peeks through the glass on the door. No sign of Minhee.
He looks down at the donuts. He planned on giving it to her, as a thank you gift, and maybe a chance of hanging out together some time.
Bomin instead sees Joochan approaching so he opens the door and greets him. "Hyung!"
Joochan grins. "Hey, Bomin." His eyes travel to the tempting box of donuts in the younger's grasp. "Aww, those for me? You shouldn't have---"
Bomin protectively moves the box away from his cousin when Joochan reaches out. The older pouts.
"You think I'd randomly give you donuts that came from my savings? Never," Bomin scoffs. "Hyung, these are for noona."
Joochan ponders who he was referring to, but after Han Minhee shows up in his mind, his face goes blank. "She isn't here. Now go away."
The thought of Bomin giving something to Minhee irked Joochan. It bothered his mind to no end. He didn't know why it did, which irked him more.
Joochan was about to close the door when Bomin uses his foot to stop it, his foot throbbing after the door hit it.
"But I wanted to say thank you," Bomin whines, hissing in pain.
"You already said that a lot of times already that day. That's enough."
"But---" Bomin gets cut off.
"No."
"Please?" Bomin begs one last time.
His cousin sighs in defeat. "Fine."
Bomin gives him a bro hug. "Thank you! Please bring them to her for me, hyung? When she comes."
Joochan didn't look at the donuts when he receives it, fighting with his inner self. It was too tempting, especially since its delicious aroma got ten times stronger when he held it.
"I will, now go."
"Thank you! Bye, hyung."
And off Bomin goes. Joochan goes back inside, smelling the pastries since he couldn't resist.
He smiles to himself. He'll pretend that it was him who got it for her, maybe it will make her happy, especially since he still didn't return her notebook back yet. He wanted to hold it in his possession for a longer time and he didn't know why. He knew he had the perfect plan.
His smile falls when Jaehyun and Minhee both enter at the same time, both holding ice creams in their hands. Joochan stomps to his seat, making sure that they heard it.
Jaehyun and Minhee both exchange weird glances at Joochan's unusual behavior.
The said student opens the box and the sweet aroma of bread wafts through the room, making Jaehyun and Minhee's head turn to the origin of the smell.
"That smells great. Can I have some?" Jaehyun asks for food.
Joochan didn't even spare them a glance. "Nope. Neither do you, Minhee."
Minhee quickly turns to him. "I didn't even ask for some!"
Joochan ignores them whispering which turned into laughing. He found comfort in eating the donuts Bomin bought for Minhee alone.
Finishing the whole box, he closes his eyes, satisfied. When he opens them and looks down, however, he saw a small note taped to the box.
I hope you enjoyed the donuts! If you want more, let's meet up later, dismissal. See you soon :D
Joochan smiles sadly. At least I'm not the only one who's going to be disappointed today.
