Sadie stared at her daughter, who while less agitated, slept more than usual. She had initially been afraid, but President Lee, as cold as he was toward her, held a soft spot for Lady, and sent a physician to check on her. The man confirmed that the child was fine, and simply getting over her sickness, while her body simultaneously burned energy with the growing in teething process. In other words, there was nothing wrong with the girl, but Sadie could not help but to feel as though her daughter was beginning to slip through her fingers.
