Lisa returned to the seat beside her brother with a smug expression on her face. She had overheard half of what Cylus' mother was saying to him and she knew that the woman had forbade him from interacting with Mina for the rest of the evening.
No matter how Cylus tried to convince Madam Rue that his guest was a nice person, the woman refused to believe it. She finally shut him up when she threatened to have Mina forcibly put out of the event.
Cylus silenced himself and his mother allowed him a few minutes to say goodbye to Mina. She may have been stern in her warnings, but she also had an image to uphold. Cylus agreed and wordlessly walked away.
