Chapter 3 - Chapter 3- Thank You and Goodbye

"Team Z, report! Team Z, I repeat, report!" Shouted the head official in the helicopter. 'WTF were they doing!' The man thought as the helicopter landed and everyone got out. The soldiers started to go search to see if their were any survivors and for Team Z. "Sir, team Z is nowhere to be found. "A soldier reported to his higher up, his head down trying to avoid eye contact. "D***it! He shouted while clenching his hand into a fist to contain all his anger and frustration he was feeling.

A firm hand planted itself on the man's shoulder, he turned his head to see who dare to put their hand on him. See his face he took a deep sigh, "When did you get here?" He asked brushing the man's large hand off his shoulder. "Just now." He replied, his eyes still glowing yellow. "Gero, you know that they most likely ran, right?" the man asked as he looked around at all the bodies that have been burned. "I know but I want to know for sure." Gero said already on one knee. His eyes glowed a deep but bright purple. He looked around absorbing all that he saw.

"What do you see Greo?" the man from earlier asked. "From what I can tell, it seems that they are looting the rogue Irises tents." Gero said in a confused tone. 'They wouldn't run, would they? They knew what happened to those who ran. H***, they were the ones that dealt with them! Why would they run knowing what it meant if they did?!' Gero thought this while they finished looting the area.

"Poppy we need to go soon their going to be here in less then 10 minutes." Ren said in a worried tone. "I know Ren but first we need to say goodbye to Gero." While Poppy said this she turned to the direction that Gero was looking in from. Surprised that she knew that he would look into the past to see if they really ran. "Gero, Ren and I are so grateful to you and all that you have done for us but we can't do this anymore. Although you treated us like family, this life and what we do, we can't do it anymore." Poppy gestures around to the bodies that rested on the ground. "Thank you and Goodbye Gero." They said simultaneously, then a disappeared in a bright yellow flash.
