After finishing with the Core, Godo decided to test Shuya. After thinking for a moment, he decided to test him using some different methods.
First, he decided to test his defensive properties. So he told Shuya.
"Shuya, how about we test how strong your Core is."
As Shuya heard that, he quickly agreed and replied,
"Let's do it gramps. But, how are we going to test it?"
"Don't worry about that. But first and foremost, you first need to know how to use it. Can you try using it?"
So just like Godo said, Shuya started trying to activate the Core. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't use it. He felt a bit disheartened at this fact.
As Godo saw that, he let out a small laugh and continued his sentence.
"Haha, don't worry about that Shuya. I'm sure even if a magical prodigy were to try using it, they would need atleast an hour or two to start to get the hang of it."
Shuya felt a bit more happy when he heard what his teacher said. But still, if he couldn't use the Core, how would they test it.
Then Godo started to tell Shuya about the 'auto-defensive' feature of the Core.
"You see Shuya. When your body detects extremely high bloodlust or something akin to that, the Core, to protect your body, starts to forcibly use the mana stored inside it to form any kind of magic defense spell, or harden your body enough to parry the incoming danger.
And if the amount of mana stored inside it is not enough, it starts to use the mana outside of the Core, meaning around your body. Of course when this happens, if you are not successful in defending against the attack, you most likely will die.
But also, sometimes this 'automatic' feature can become a nuisance. That's why to deactivate it, you first need to try normally activating the Core. So basically, I'm going to release enough of my magic to activate your Core, forcibly.
Like every unnatural way of doing things, this method isn't really effective to say the least. So you will have to try to activate it by yourself when I'm not around."
As Shuya heard that, to say it simply, the thing about forcibly activating magic scared him a bit.
So anyway, looking at Shuya, Godo told him one last time,
"Get ready Shuya."
As he heard those words, a moment later he could detect an abnormal amount of bloodlust being released, even though he was not strong he was still a warrior. So he could feel it.
And just like Godo said, the Core inside his body started to strenthen his body to make it hard. Most of the time it would activate a spell, but Shuya was not really a mage. So the Core took countermeasures.
Shuya could only keep up this state for around 5 seconds. It was not long, but sure would be enough to get out of an emergency situation.
When Godo saw this. He felt relieved, he was kinda worried that it would somehow do something and instantly deprive Shuya of his mana. It was kinda in its beginning state after all, and not a self made one at that.
So moving on, it was time for the healing part of the Core. This one was easy.
Shuya just had to injure himself and start wanting his body to fix itself and cure the wound.
"Well the healing factor of the Core also has an 'automatic feature'. Whenever the user of the Core is in a life threatening situation, which could be solved by getting healed or something like that, the Core would start to use its mana to push the healing factor of the user's body to its maximum.
This would usually be able to heal the user, but once this happens, the Core would break and would have to be manifested again."
After hearing all this, Shuya asked Godo,
"So are we going to test the 'automatic feature' again gramps?"
"No, you just have to injure yourself and will your body to heal itself. As the healing part is literally just increasing the healing factors of your body, it doesn't need as much skill and control like the shield one."
After that, Shuya took his sword and created a small cut on his finger, this took around a minute as he was scared of purposely hurting himself.
After that, just like Godo said he willed his wound to heal. The wound started to slowly closeup and the blood began to stop. Now the cut was fully healed.
Shuya was happy that he was able to do this one by himself. And up on the room, the spirit was thinking to herself.
'Wow, this 'Core Manifestation' seems really useful. Should i ask sir Godo to teach me too? But would he agree though? Will it even work on a spirit?'
As the spirit thought about this, Shuya was training by himself, and his teacher was sitting on a log lying on the ground.
'Let's do something.' he thought.
As he said that, he started to create a new skill again, of course to add to 'Creator's Blades'.
While Shuya was training his 'One Point Thrust', 'Divine Laceration' and getting familiar with his Core, Godo was creating a skill. He named it 'Diverse Blades'. It was a technique, with different forms.
He decided to not teach this to Shuya yet. He was not ready yet.
