Chapter 23 - Azure Meadows (II)

Fear, only emotion present. "What the fuck was that!?" Urza said, a cold sweat dripping from his forehead. His hands trembled at the thought of that moment. A deep fog of unknowing, nothing could be seen. Therefore nothing could be collected.

"Huh? How the fuck is that thing excited" Urza said stepping out of his small bed. The room remained unchanged from last night.

His stick layed on the side of the bedside table, beside the almost broken sword.

< Twiggy is looking for blood >

"I mean, I wouldn't object that offer" Urza said grinning, shrugging his shoulders.

"So let's get to slaying" Urza said cracking his neck. He grabbed his clothes, swords and necessary equipment included.

As he exited the room's door he bumped into a light object. This object was pushed back towards the wall. This "object" was a child half the height of Urza. They had long blood red hair and a burlap sack covering their shoulders, the end of the sack was a hole, knee height. It gave the resemblance of a dress. The clothing item basically showing hee gender.

"Oh, sorry" She said bowing.

"Kid, what are doing here?" Urza said as she was turning to leave. "Oh, umm, I was told to wait until a tall man enveloped in a black robe and mask.

"Right, is it like these?" Urza showed his mask and cloak, the mask was more torn and bloody. While the cloak was dusty and with holes and tears that surround the end.

"Oh my, I'm very sorry! I was asked to give this to you" She said bowing once again, but with a N envelope in hand. She held her arms out as if she was presenting a sword.

Urza grabbed the letter. After snatching the letter he rubbed the head of the girl. The girl stumbled a little, being taken back from the almost parental behaviour.

He released his hand from her head and opened the letter.

It read, "Dear Masked Blood Hunter, Urza. I'm still grateful for the coin you have given me. Take this child as a gift, she is inexperienced, but I'm sure you'll train her right. ;). Galz"

"Son of a bitch" Urza crushed the letter throwing it to the side. 'Smug bastard' Urza thinks still clenching his fist.

"You. Come." Urza said pointing at the girl who was still bowing for the last five minutes. "Yes!" She said releasing from her pitiful bow. She followed him from behind as he walked to the entrance of the inn.

The receptionist wasnt there, but they left anyway. Urza strolled the street with the child by her side. "Name" Urza said not looking her direction, keeping eyes on the path ahead. "Aira, sir" she said jogging along side him, with his long overstepping strides.

"Clothes, which one?" Urza said gosling his head towards a street stall. A array of clothes laid on the countertop, easily stolen. These clothes were guarded by a fair women with thin black hair. The poor quality of her clothes were controversial to the ones laying on the counter.

The clothes carried from baby clothes to adultery dresses and coats. The worst was a sack, similar to the one Aira was wearing. The best on the other hand, it was a petite red dress spotted with poppy flowers.

Aira's small finger pointed towards a brown cloak and plain white dress, these were also accompanied by a pair of thick leather boots.

"You're fucking with me right?" Urza said looking deeply at Aira. Aira stayed silent as she shook her head, covering her embarrassed face.

"Fine, whatever" Urza shrugging and pointing out the selected clothes to the women.

The clothes were place in a thatch bag and handed to Urza buy the women. Urza and Aira continued to walk through the street. "Here" Urza said tossing the bag to Aira. In the bag layed the coat, dress and boots, an extra item also lined the side of the bag. The red dress with poppy flowers shined out of the unviberent clothes. "Why?" she said lifting the dress out of the bag and tugging on Urza's coat.

"Well I don't think you'd look good in plain clothes" He said nonchalantly, placing his hand in his pockets. Aira mind froze at the comment. She was unsure of what she was feeling. 'Why would he say that? What does he want from me? How am I supposed to react?' All these questions rushed through Aira's head, like a speeding carage. Aira's face lit up like a christmas tree, A snicker came from Urza but was quickly covered. Aira failed to notice. But Aira could be a way to save Urza's selfishness.

A throbbing pane came from Urza's head. He knelt down on the ground hold hold his head in pain. He was pushed into dreaming state, the familiar azure meadows filled his vision once again. This time a bright cyan light was heading towards him. He had only one instinct, run. So he ran back into the fog, not leaving a slice of stamina left. After thirty minutes of running he stopped to catch his breath. This mistake lead him to be struck in the head by the blinding cyan light.
