Chapter 9 - She's A Fallen Angel

As the sun rose up the next morning, Claire got up from the chair she spent all night in thanks to the buzzing phone she felt on her lap. She groggily turned off her alarm and looked at the main reason she worked so hard for. The most precious thing in her life.

Pulling the sheets up to her chin she gave the little bundle on the bed a kiss on the forehead before turning around to leave. She would've stayed with her all day just like she had during the night, but she knew it wouldn't be possible.

She looked back at her little frame and saw how her chest rose and dropped at a steady and peaceful rate. After gently closing the door behind her, she made her way back to her room to shower and change for the day.

She wore a tight red pencil skirt that accentuated her hips with a long sleeved off the shoulders white blouse tucked into it. Pairing it with white stilettos, ones with the infamous red bottoms, and a long elegant necklace that ended just below her bust. She applied minimal makeup to hide the dark circles under her eyes and finished the look off with a beige long coat draped over her shoulders.

Making her way to the car she greeted her driver and got inside in an poised manner as usual. "To Villan Enterprise." She instructed him as he started the car's engine and drove out to their destination.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

At Villan Enterprise.

Anna was waiting for her boss at the front entrance as she saw her driver open the door for her. She stood in awe as she usually did once she saw her. Claire was truly a sight to behold. If it weren't for the fact that she had seen many other of her less elegant looking sides, she would've easily believed that her boss was made of porcelain and pure perfection.

As Claire walked towards the entrance where her secretary waited for her she felt a number of eyes scrutinizing her, but she paid it no mind. She was more than familiar with the sensation of being gawked at. It had stopped mattering to her ages ago.

"Good morning Boss." Anna said to her as they both strolled into the building.

"Not much good in it to be honest." Claire answered as she watched a tall freckled faced man approach them with a sly smile. Everybody else in the lobby had stopped what they were doing to admire the beauty that had just walked into their company.

"Good morning Miss CEO. My name is Jacob Patterson, Villan Enterprise CEO's personal assistant. It's an honor and a pleasure to welcome you to Villan Enterprise." Jacob stretched out his hand in order to greet both women.

"Claire Collins. The pleasure is mine." She introduced herself as she shook his hand. Anna followed.

"Anna Clemson, Miss Collin's head secretary."

After their greetings Jacob gestured for them to follow him and so they did. They were making their way up the floors on the private elevator in silence until Jacob spoke again.

"Forgive me for speaking out of order, but I must say that it truly is an honor to meet you. Simply being in the presence of a ground breaking woman such as yourself is worth bragging about." Jacob sincerely expressed his admiration. Being a feminist at heart he was quite excited to meet one of the only woman CEO's in the country.

"You're too kind." Claire gave him a small smile as a gesture of gratitude while the doors of the elevator opened. As soon as it did they stepped out.

As Anna looked around she could see it was the CEO's floor. It had a similar layout to their own company's head administrative floor, but a huge difference between the both caught her attention. All the secretaries in here were... men!?

'What kind of parallel paradise did we just step into!?' Anna's thoughts were jumbled as she looked at all the men quietly work in their stations. She looked at her boss's face and as usual it seemed unaffected by the sight.

While the clicking sounds of Claire's heels filled the room all eyes fell on her. It wasn't everyday the employees on this floor received visits. Let alone from a beautiful woman such as the one they were seeing confidently stroll towards their boss's office.

Her long hair swayed with each step she took and although she seemed to be quite petite in height, her legs looked like that of a runway model in those heels. Everything from her stoic face to her thin ankles made the secretaries faces follow her wide-eyed.

Although the view of her was becoming the highlight of their day, they soon returned to work on their computers as they felt Jacob's cold and fierce stare warning them not to gawk.

They reached the door and Jacob quickly imputed his information to be recognized by the security system. It opened after a click sound was heard and he ushered the women inside.

"Please make yourselves comfortable. Our CEO is on his way as we speak. He will join us in a few minutes." Jacob stood in the middle of the office as he tried to burn the image of two women in his boss's office into his memory. It was a very rare sight to see.

"It's quite the view." Claire commented as she approached the glass behind the desk that oversaw the city. You could even see Flinn Corporation's top floors from there. The fact was that the big three and Villan Enterprise were relatively close to one another. The farthest one was a twenty minute car ride at most.

While her boss stood by the glass, Anna stood next to Jacob. She wasn't small in stature yet she felt short next to him. She took note of the scars on each of his hands. They looked old but very similar to one another.

Jacob followed Anna's line of sight and understood what she was looking at. He raised his right hand for her to see and gave her a pantie dropping smile. "Skiing accident."

Anna blushed as she didn't expect to be caught eyeing him. Just as she was about to apologize the door clicked again and opened. A man started to walk in when his eyes landed on the woman quietly staring out the glass in the far end of his office. Stopping him in his tracks.

Claire noticed someone come in and slightly turned to look at the man that stared back at her.

'Ah. Of course she's called the She Devil. She's a fallen angel.' Aiden thought to himself as the life started coming back to his eyes.
