Chereads / If You Were Made To Be Mine / Chapter 75 - Forget You

Chapter 75 - Forget You

"Well that was unexpected," Molly sighed. "So you guys came just to tell us that?"

Nicholas sat down on the couch. "Jacob called me to come talk about that man who killed his mother."

"You know it was Ella right? She was behind—"

"It's not that she wanted to do that." Nicholas took a deep breath. "She had no choice."

"Then what are we gonna do now?"

"We wait for the next attack." Nicholas smiled. "I think I might know who that man is."

Meanwhile...

(In the states)

"Get out of my room!" Abigail clenched her fist as she glared at the man standing in front of her.

"Is my face that hideous to look at...my dear wife?" the man lifted her chin.

"Stay away from me, Noah."

"Why should I? We're already engaged."

"Look, this marriage is just a contractual marriage, so please—"

"But what if I tell you I want more?"

"W-What?"

"I heard that your first love died in a dreadful car accident." Noah sat down beside her. "Your father gave me a task."

"Which is?"

"To make you forget him. Seems like a tough one, huh?"

"We don't have any feelings for each other so please don't take this marriage seriously. We'll just divorce after a year."

"I don't want to." Noah grabbed her wrist. "Hasn't your father told you yet?" he smirked. "I bought you."

"W-What do you mean...?"

"It's what you think it is." Noah brought his face closer. "He sold you to me. Aren't you aware?"

"You're lying! Father wouldn't do such a thing! I will go find—"

"He has left you with us. You won't be able to find him anywhere."

"That's impossible! Don't think that you'll be able to deceive me by doing this!"

"Our fathers made an agreement." Noah grabbed her waist and whispered, "Your father gets a billion dollars in exchange for you."

Abigail tried getting off his grip. "W-What would he even use that money—"

"For his business of course. Did you really think that you were always one of his priorities?"

"Where is my father? You're lying!"

"See for yourself then." Noah handed her the contract paper. "Do you still think I'm fooling you now?"

As Abigail started scanning the contract, she bursted into tears as Noah patted her back.

"I'll take care of you." Noah smiled. "You know that I—"

"We don't even know each other! Are you out of your mind?"

"I've been watching you since you were young, Abigail. I never kept my eyes off you."

Abigail rolled her eyes. "Oh please! Such stories can't fool me."

"Up to you to believe it or not then." Noah pulled her closer. "Just keep in mind that you can't leave this place till we get married, Abby."

"This is my house! Who are you to—"

"I own it now." Noah smirked. "And soon...this will be the master's bedroom."

"No! I'm not sharing a room with you!"

"Well you've got no choice." Noah stood up. "I'm the head of this house."

A couple of weeks later, as Nicholas and Adeline were on their way to a nearby coffee shop to have their first date, a man in a black cap and mask abruptly covered their mouths before hitting their heads. When they both slowly opened their eyes, they found themselves in an all black room, sitting on a chair with their hands tied up.

"Adele!" Cameron tried moving closer. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

"No, I'm fine...but I don't think that woman is," Adeline looked at the woman in a sweater, sitting on the corner, glaring at her.

"Who are you?" Nicholas asked the woman. "Get up and show us who you are."

The woman walked towards them and pointed a gun at Adeline's forehead before removing her hood.

"Who else do you expect?" the woman smiled. "It's me, of course."
