Stannir looked at the door in cautiously. "It's fine... You can open the door..." He looked at Drummen with a smile. "That's not what I'm worried about..."
"What's the issue?"
He looked at them. "That we can find some food, now since we've been stuck in here for a few days." He looked at Salina. "I hope we haven't lost time because of this."
"Don't worry... What was done here, has definitely caused an issue for the master and his army." Stannir grabbed the door and opened it looking at the scene outside. He cursed and stepped on the steaming ground. "He looked at the house he was in. "That house is incredible... It grows bigger as eruptions happen around it." He turned and looked at Drummen. "Where were the trolaiths last spotted?"
"That way... Not far from here... You'll won't find anything there... They've been wiped out... We should just focus on making our way to the place on the map... We need to remove them as soon as possible." Stannir nodded and turned. "Lets move out... Sooner we get there the better it will be for us... We'll get a head out of it."
"Hear that brother? We're going hunting... I'm excited. I've never done this type of hunting before." He shook his head at Cliffhopper. "This isn't supposed to be fun... We're here to stop a war, and save the people... What has been created needs to be stopped and be removed from Athlos."
"Fine... That too." Stannir turned around, looking at Salina. "He's just excited... He knows what he's here for, just trying to lighten the mood... You can relax my general." He nodded in thought. "You're right..." He turned and looked at Cliffhopper. "I understand your feelings Cliffhopper... We'll stop this war before it even begins... Especially if we have these volcanoes all over the place in the firelands... He won't be able to do anything against us."
"See, he understands brother..."
"I understand you too brother, we all understand your heart." He smiled and looked at the ash covered sky. "We should hurry up as we can't be late for their gathering." He turned and looked at where they had traveled. "Mouse, you better be strong and hurry up to join us again."
"Don't worry about him ass, you should be worrying about us... Look around there's no cover at all. The drunk monk has removed any sort of cover for us... We're visible... No where to hide, if we see any flyers." Stannir looked around and nodded. "Yes... There's no cover, but if we need to hide, we'll get Drummen to put us under the ground until they leave the area."
"Yes... My brother can keep us safe in these lands, and if another army shows up, he can do the same thing again."
"Brother... Stop talking for me... Don't worry Stannir... If they're near, I'll be able to hide us."
"Sorry water watcher... My husband and his brother have big mouths... I'll get it to stop one day."
"That's a relief... I wish you success in your training."
"Hey... I'm right her wife... I don't have a big mouth... Its Cliffhopper."
"Quit it... We need to focus on the land around us... We need to be on watch at all times." Stannir cursed and turned around walking ahead of them.
"Wait up..." He turned and looked at Harnio. "What's the matter?"
"Nothing... Just need a little space from their bickering... It gives me a headache sometimes." Stannir nodded. "Don't think its a bad thing... This type of bickering is what families do when they're close... Turn around and have a look at them... Their faces or their actions have no killing intent... A family who enjoys each others company."
"I see... I have much to learn about the people around me." Stannir nodded. "Don't worry... I also need to learn."
"Does she help you?" Stannir looked at him in surprise. "I forgot you can see her as well... Yes. She helps me a lot, especially when I first arrived at the unit... If it wasn't for her, I would've died many times."
"What happened?" Stannir looked in the distance. "Many things happened... There's not enough time to tell it all... Even when we arrive at the place where they're rallying, I'd only cover the first week, I spent with her."
"Does she have a name?" He nodded. "Her name is Salina..."
"Has she told you about what happened to her?" He shook his head. "No, she hasn't... She can't remember much... However, it seems that as I get stronger, more of her memory returns." He looked at Harnio. "Why are you asking these questions?"
"I can feel her pain... I can tell she was tortured, and not just lightly... I can feel many scars all over her spark... However, what amazes me is your strength is healing her..." He looked at Harnio in surprise. "Are you saying, just her being with me is healing her?"
"That's exactly what I'm saying... Think about it, you said so yourself, the stronger you get the more she can remember, and also her body becomes more physical to you."
"Ask him... How much can he see of me?"
"She wants to know when you see her what do you see?"
"All I see is a damaged spark... I don't see any figure... But I feel the pain and scars."
Stannir walked in silence. He looked behind him and ignored the bickering behind him. "As you said... Don't worry about them... They're all strong, and just venting... We've been stuck in a small space for a period of time... They need to vent."
Stannir smiled at Harnio... "You've given me a great idea."
"What did I do?"
"You'll see..."
"Hey... Since we've been trapped in that house for a while, lets do some training..." He smiled when he heard Drummen curse. "Ass... How can we train in this place? We'd be spotted easily, and quickly..." He shook his head and waved his hand at the priestess. "Not that type of training... We're going to have a race..."
"A race? Little brother will win... He just has to take a step and he'll win the race."
"I don't want to race... There's nothing in it for me... No wager... Not worth it."
Stannir stopped walking and waited for the others to catch up to them. "He pointed ahead of them... Harnio will be the judge. We'll see who's the strongest... No abilities, just physical strength... The winner gets bragging rites in the group, as the strongest."
"I'm out..." He looked at the priestess.
"Me too... I'm not a fan of pissing contests... Husband you go play... The fire eater has a good idea."
"I'm in brother... Come race with me... I already know I'm the strongest."
"Brother, brother, brother..." Stannir smiled as he saw Drummen wrap his arm around Cliffhopper. "The thing is... I'm much stronger now... I can beat you all, without even using my abilities..."
"I don't think so brother... Lets make a wager... Your necklace, to one of my skills you've been wanting to learn."
"Really... You're going to teach me, one of your skills?"
"Hahaha... I don't think so brother. I'm going to walk away with a nice necklace..."
Stannir cracked his neck. "Harnio can you go ahead about 100 paces? Than you'll tell us who's the first to reach you."
"Fire eater unit... You know what's going to happen... Snipers keep a look out for any trouble."
"Yes. Sir... You heard him... Snipers up..."
Stannir stretched his arms and stood in the middle of Cliffhopper and Drummen. He looked at the priestess. "If you could please?"
"Fine... For you ass... I hope this helps."
He nodded at her. "It'll help... I promise... Whenever you're ready."
"Three... Two... One... Go!"
Stannir grapped the both of them by the backs of their necks and threw them into the ground.
"Booomm!"
He jumped and landed next to Harnio.
"Firewarrior wins..."
"He cheated..." Stannir smiled and jumped back, looking at the brothers. "I didn't cheat at all... It was training... Remember?"
"Yes... I understand... Stannir is the strongest... The bragging rites belong to him." He smiled and turned around. "Lets keep going... No more bickering." He looked at the priestess. "No starting them..."
"Fine..."
"Good work my general." He looked at Salina with a smile on his face. "Yes... The bickering stopped, and we are able to focus properly now."
"Flyers..." He looked at the priestess. "Drummen... Get us underground now."
"Fine... Stand near me..." Stannir walked up to Drummen, and felt the earth move around him, as he sunk below the ground. "You stupid ass... That was because of you." He nodded. "Yes... That was because of me... Harnio... How long did it take for them to notice the explosion and their arrival."
"It took about a half mark..." Stannir looked at the walls of the tunnel in thought. "Priestess... What direction did the flyer you see come from?"
"... It came from the east... Now he's a smart ass."
"You did that all to find the next army reinforcements to take out?" Stannir nodded. "Yes... Everyone was feeling energetic being trapped in a house... Now we'll take them out when the sun sets... Without a volcano this time..." He turned to Drummen. "Can you create a tunnel that will lead us to the center of them?"
"That, I can do easily... Watch this." Stannir watched as a tunnel started to form in front of them. "They're that way... I can hear them now." Stannir nodded. "Lets go... We'll have to move quickly so that we can get ahead of them before nightfall... I want us to take them all out, before they knew they were attacked."
"What about the fact of you throwing us into the ground... Won't the flyers see that?" Stannir nodded with a smiled on his face. "I'm hoping they do... To them it'll just be from the volcano and than lower their guard against loud noises in the future."
"Is that why you let them bicker so loudly?" Stannir nodded. "Yes Harnio... Correct, than your idea helped, because I wanted to see how far, and what direction the next unit was in... Now we know."
"For someone who can't read or write, you came up with a very good plan... But next time, can you not throw us into the ground, and tell us what you wanted to do?" Stannir shook his head. "If I did that, than what fun would I have... Come on we need to hurry... They're moving quickly as well."
Stannir ran with the fire eater unit at the front until they reached the end of the tunnel. He turned and looked at Harnio who had formed his earth staffs and was staring at the roof of the tunnel. "How far away?"
"Not far at all... If we jumped up now, we would see their vanguard." He shook his head. "That's not what we want... We want their main force of the unit... Where we can make the most damage as they pass through here."
"I see why you're the leader of your own unit fire eater." He nodded at Raven. "I'm not that good of a leader... Just have ideas that make sense."
Stannir formed his fiery long sword and stood staring at the roof of the tunnel. "When the main force approaches send us up, and we'll unleash the fear that they should have of people like us."
He looked at the fire eater unit. "Fight well, kill many." He turned to the others looking at him with serious faces. "Kill them before they see your face, and if they see your face, make sure they die... Star the flyers are yours... Harnio... Make sure no one is able to escape from this place, that we'll be calling the killing grounds."
"What about us?"
He looked at the brothers with a smile. "Make trouble... Raven keep an eye on the trouble makers... Kill a few of them, if you see any near you."
"Don't worry about me... I'll kill many of the beasts... They deserve to die."
"We're in the middle..."
Stannir smiled. "Let the killing begin..."
