My eyes started slowly blink open and all I saw was a bright light. My body was in a mix of soreness and pure shocks of pain.
"Ash, are you awake?" I heard Bram's voice coming from the dark spot in the light.
His voice sounded hoarse as if he have not had any water for a week. My vision got as clear as it could and I noticed that there were multiple lights covering him to block out all of the shadows.
"Where are we?"
"In Professor Jones' room, hidden behind his closet. I was starting to wake up when he locked us in here. I guess he knew how to neutralize any type of magic."
I started to get up until I felt the rope pull me back down. The force of the fallback caused a sharp burning pain in my stomach and leg. I started to have trouble breathing from the pain.
"Breath, listen to my voice and don't focus on the pain." I heard Bram's voice and the pulling of his ropes.
