Kiana sat on the bed in her room as a soft smile glowed on her face. She thought to herself 'I think I'm in love.' She stood up and said "that's crazy you just met the guy, you can't fall in love this quickly." She looked back at the glass doors and said "but I do think I'm in love." Thud, thud, thud. Kiana heard knocking at her door. She walked over to it, opened the door, and saw a woman wearing a pale blue dress that sleeves were white and cut off around the elbow standing there. She curtsied and said "you highness his highness Prince Jax has requested to see you, and I am to take you to him." Kiana followed the woman to the throne room where she curtsied and left Kiana with Jax. Jax walked over to Kiana, grabbed her hands, and said "honey I just wanted to say how sorry I am for what my guard said to you earlier. It won't be tolerated, he is now in imprisonment for the rest of his life for disrespecting the future queen of Avana. She pulled her hands out of his grip and he said "I want to ensure this never happens again so I want you to formally meet all my guards so they know who you are. Some of them are completely uncultured." She said "they must take after you." He smirked at her as she turned away from him in disgust. BOOM, BOOM, BOOM there was a loud beating at the door. Jax said "come in," and 9 guards including Brennon walked in. Jax said "ah yes honey I want you to meet the leads of my troop." She glanced over at the guards to see Brennon and jumped in fear. Jax looked at her and asked "are you alright?" She replied "yes its just I wasn't expecting them to be leaders." Jax said "well they are," turned to the 9 guards, and said "for all of you who don't know this is Princess Kiana my fiancé. I expect for you all to get all the guards under your command aware and cultured because I wouldn't want my love to be disrespected like the way she was ever again." She looked at Jax in disgust and said "excuse me." She began to leave but before she could Jax grabbed her and said "where are you going," She pushed Jax away from her, slapped him, and shouted "don't touch me." All the guards expect for Brennon pulled their swords out and pointed them at her. Jax rubbed his face and said "its alright, put your weapons down, and leave us." Brennon looked at Kiana in fear, looked at Jax, and said "but I thought you wanted us all to introduce her highness to our guards so no mistakes are made." Jax said "its alright leave us all of you." All the guards (including Brennon) left the room and Jax grabbed Kiana again, looked her into her eyes, and said "I love you and no matter how much you fight me you will forever be mine. Get it through your head that you are mine now and as my wife I will not let you get away with this." Kiana struggled to try to get out of his grip but the more she struggled that tighter his grip became. He said "since you want to behave like a wild animal I will kill one of your kingdom people like a wild animal." Tears rolled down her cheeks and she said "please Jax, please don't." Jax smiled and said "you have to learn not to disrespect me." Kiana cried "please Jax, please don't kill them! Don't hurt my people. I'll do anything!" Jax said "that's what I like to hear. You will stop with this nonsense of fighting me and from now on." Her tears rapidly fell from her eyes and she said "okay Jax what ever you want." He kissed her and said "you will learn to love me." He let her go and said "don't ever disrespect me in front of my guards again or else next time I won't be so nice." He laughed as she left the room closing the door behind her. She put her hand on her face and began to run to her room, as she was running right before she got to her room Brennon grabbed her wrist stoping her in her tracks. She cried "let go of me," as she tried to pull out of his grip. He said "your highness please." She looked at Brennon to see it was him and said "what do you want?" Brennon said "its just you told me you would smile, remember?" She took a deep breath, dried her eyes, and gave a soft smile. He let go of her wrist while saying "sorry, I shouldn't have grabbed your wrist like that." She looked down and said "its okay I don't mind it, I needed a friend anyways, to remind me to smile." He said "whatever happened I'm sorry." She looked at him and said "meet me by the bench swing tonight." A shocked look came on his face and he said "oh uh... okay your highness." She walked to her room, closed the door behind her, laid on her bed, and went to sleep.
The hours past and soon night came. Kiana woke out of her sleep, walk to the bench swing, and sat down while looking up at the sky. A few minutes and Brennon came to the bench. He said "your highness." She smiled and said "come sit." He sat next to her and he said "I see that beautiful smile its brightens up my day to see you happy." Her face turned red and she said "thank you Brennon." He looked at her and said "its a beautiful night out tonight." She said "it is, its so peaceful and calm out here. I use to sit on the bench swing with my Papa every night before he died and left me this kingdom. I'm.... I'm the last one of my family this kingdom belongs to me and me alone." Brennon said "what happened to your mom, if you don't mind me asking." Kiana said "she died when I was very young. For the longest time it was just me and my Papa, he never remarried after my Momma died. He said he had found love already and nobody would ever be able to match her. When he died I was so scared to rule a kingdom on my own. I didn't want to be a failure and we were doing so well... everything was going so great. We had everything we ever needed... now look at me, my whole kingdom is being over taken, everybody in my kingdom is imprisoned and it's all because I didn't strengthen my army when I had the chance and the resources to do so. I didn't think we needed it but I was wrong... I put everybody in danger.... I'm a failure." Brennon put his hand on top of her's and said "you aren't a failure Kiana. If anything your strong and yes you made a mistake but I know that everything happens for a reason and one day things won't be like this." She looked at him with a smile on her face. He smiled back at her and she said "you should smile more too. It looks good on you." They stood up her holding on to his hand and Kiana said "tomorrow meet me back out here." Brennon said "I'll be here and Kiana did you mean to hold my hand." She yanked her hand away from his and said "I'm sorry... I just..." he interrupted her saying "I love holding your hand Kiana... I MEAN YOUR HIGHNESS... I've been calling you Kiana this whole time haven't I?" She said "well I held your hand on accident. So.... I won't tell anyone if you don't tell anyone... besides I love it when you call me Kiana. In a way it makes me feel like I'm talking to a friend rather than a servant or a guard." They smiled at each other and Brennon said "you should be getting to bed your highness." She said "alright remember to be here tomorrow." They went to their own rooms in excitement to see each other once more.
