Because Quinn and Finn were no longer able to battle, the original nine final contestants dwindled down to seven.
Another one day rest period was given for the contestants to regain their strength before the semi-final match began.
Since it was an odd number, the staff of the tournament decided to do another round of ballot drawing. Within the ballot box was a golden ball or the so-called "Free Pass" that would immediately make the lucky player advance to the top four of the tournament.
This meant that their academy would automatically be entitled to join the Battle Royale. Among the seven contestants, two were from Black Bellied Academy (Alex and Priscilla). One from Silver Wind Academy (Adam).
As two of the top three academies from the previous tournament, Winterville Academy and Sun Valley Academy had one representative each. The remaining two slots were from Royal Order Academy and Dandelion Academy.
