Abbie was looking at her little hero through the screen of her I-Foam with tears streaking down on her face. She couldn't count how many times she had already cried when she saw how much Alex was suffering during the trials.
For some reason, her voice couldn't reach him. She couldn't even summon him back to Earth. It was as if the rules of the Forbidden Ground forbade any outside interference from forming a connection with Alex.
She could only watch helplessly as the little boy died countless times during the second and third trial. Abbie had already informed Alice about the current state of affairs and both of them were currently monitoring Alex's progress.
A month passed in Edea, but it was only ten days on Earth. In those ten days, Abbie couldn't eat or sleep due to the strength of her anxiety and worry.
