Alex stirred in Abbie's embrace. This small movement awakened Abbie from her sleep. She watched patiently as Alex opened his eyes and looked at her in a daze.
The light of the room was dim, but Alex could immediately tell that someone was lying beside him.
"Master?"
"It's me."
Alex looked at her with sleepy eyes before deciding to go back to sleep. He instinctively buried his head into Abbie's chest and gave her a light hug.
Soon, the breathing of a sleeper was heard in the room. Abbie softly brushed Alex's hair and closed her eyes. Based on the time in the world of Edea, it was two in the morning. In time, she, too, fell asleep.
