Morning finally came, but none of the survivors in the small village of Lindow greeted the sun with a smile. Today was a day of mourning. Everyone in the village had lost a loved one. The only ones who were spared by the bandits were the women and children.
Aside from a small group of retired adventurers and local hunters of the village, the rest of the men had died. Cries filled with grief and indignation could be heard everywhere. Adrian and the rest of the men dumped the bandit corpses near the main road leading towards the baron's estate.
Some of the bandits had bounties on their head and Adrian had every intention of collecting these bounties to distribute to the aggrieved villagers. To be honest, he wanted to burn all of these corpses to ashes. However, his rationality still won in the end.
