Idubor hissed, then he walked to a nearby branch and sat on it. He did not bother to say another word again, instead he just watched quietly, observing what the others action would be.
"Don't you guys, want to come with me! This is your chance o.
Or do you guys prefer to go into the bush and get yourself eaten by another strange creature?
Is that it? Is that what you all want?" Although Ehimen was really convincing, nobody decamped to his side, and he didn't like it at all.
He knew that, even he alone, may not be able to make it out of the dreamy forest without the help and support of some other young warriors.
"Ok if you all want to go into your own death, then it's your choice. I cannot force you to come.
As for me, I love my life. How old am I, I'm just fifteen years old. I'm obviously still too young to die!" He looked about hesitating to leave then he started again
"Look around you guys, It's just our first encounter with a creature and we've already lost almost half of our team.
What do you think will happen when you guys meet a next creature? And then another?
Do any of you believe you'll be alive by then?"
His eyes were wide open—shooting desperation.
"Ehimen.
We've already come to this forest now, we cannot go back just because met a powerful creature.
Even though it killed six of our team members, It was only able to do so because it was our first real fight with such a beast. Moreover, we still managed to kill.
It couldn't even hurt us anymore, once we started using our ancestral spirit power. So that, now we have more experience on how to tackle such beast.
Do you believe it could still hurt us, if we were to fight it again?
I don't think so. So there's no reason to panic. Or divide the team." It was a fifteen year old Salami who spoke, he was awfully calm.
"Now that you've said that you want to leave the team, you're free to go since the prince has given you the permission.
Why do you now want to take others with you?
Are you scared of the dark?" Another fifteen year old warrior spoke. He was standing close to Salami. His arms were round and burly
This youth was Sally.
"I strongly advice you, to go and apologize to the prince immediately for being so rude earlier, by trying to divide the team.
If you know, that you do not have the balls to go back to the kingdom on your own.
Perhaps, he may let you back into the team. Otherwise you better piss off now." Sally threatened Mockingly.
For some unknown reasons he seemed overly interested in Ehimen's next move.
"Look at you! I know you've always been jealous that I'm close to the prince, so you want to kicked me out of the team by force.
Haha
I know your plans."
"Really! Haha. What a crack head, You're really a fool.
How can you not know, that you've already driven yourself out of the team, by yourself, when you said you wanted to go back home.
I can see that you're scared to go back alone and are looking for a opportunity to join our team back.
If I were you, I'd be careful of what I say to other team members now, because we may convince the prince and decide not to take you back." Sally was smiling playfully, as he continously mocked the former.
"You see, your not smart at all, if I were you I would leave here right now, and go and apologize to the prince immediately."
"You! You're just an hypocritic bastard, Humph." Ehimen retorted quickly. However, he was now in a dilemma. Should he go back to the kingdom alone, or should he go to the prince.
In the next moment however, he decided and started walking.
Then he left quickly, moving towards the place, where the prince was seated. He believed what Sally had told him, about apologizing, was the right action to take.
"A fool indeed." Sally smiled wickedly.
"Sally, you're really the devil, for manipulating people so much." Salami added.
Some moment later from where the two youths stood and discussed, they saw Ehimen approach a tree where the prince was seated.
Then, after a while, when Ehimen, was still talking and gesturing with his hand as he spoke to the prince, the prince, suddenly threw his right hand forward, towards the silhouette figure of Ehimen.
Swiss! Puff!
Then, there was a sharp light that flew out of the prince's arms and passed through the silhouette body.
Thud. In the next moment, the body dropped to the ground, lying motionless.
The prince's shadow jumped down from the tree branch and started walking back, towards the team.
Apparently, he had killed Ehimen.
"Every one pack up, we're now going further into this dreamy forest." The prince's voice was still, calm and perfectly emotionless.
He swaggered passed the shocked, wide-eyed everyone–team, with a cool breeze and continued walking into the forest deep.
'What! did the prince really just kill Ehimen?'
Everyone, completely stunned, had their mouths agape from shock. As they thought to themselves.
"Go and check if Ehimen is dead." Salami instigated his friend.
"Haha, you fool didn't you hear the prince's command just now? Do you really expect me to risk my own neck, to go back there to check if a motionless body is really dead?
Haha.
Not me." Sally was quick to refute the instigation.
He quickly grabbed his stuff and followed along with the prince.
Salami gave a second look at the motionless silhouette of the body of Ehimen, then grabbed his stuff to follow behind his friend.
The other team members also took their stuff and left that area, quickly tagging along.
Although they had been so shocked, when faced with such a unpredictable leader, they knew they had overcome quickly, the surprise and keep up with the prince.
