The sound of my running steps echoed around the forlorn alleyway that I had found myself in, my lungs were bruning with each gasping breath for air i took as i pushed myself to run even faster from the tall and shadowed figure which had been chasing me for what had to have been three city blocks. There was no way that my body could keep this up, I was going to collapse if I didn't do something, anything to get myself out of this situation.

My long stringy brown hair kept falling in my face, obscuring my view and, consequently, this caused me to trip on a small crack in the pavement and fall the ground, scraping my elbow in the process. The silent shadow figure loomed over me as it bent down to meet my eyes, I could now see that it was a middle aged looking man wearing a very old and tattered looking hooded cloak, like something a ranger would wear in an old medieval story.

"Who the hell are you!? What do you want from me!?"

I asked in between my gasping breaths, my voice quaking with pure panic. The figure simply smiled, revealing old and jagged teeth and what looked to be fangs. I couldn't believe my eyes, this guy seriously looked like a fucking vampire!

"No.. vampires aren't real! I can't really be looking at a vampire right now, this is just some crazy guy who's about to either kill me or rape me, probably both." I thought quietly to myself. As I was lost in my thoughts and preparing for the worst I hadn't even noticed that the man had lifted up the sleeve of my oversized sweater to reveal my bleeding and scraped elbow. He raised his head down to my arms level and took a deeply inhaled.

"Ah~ there's just something about you miss, something absolutely divine.."

He opened his mouth and began to lick my wound before closing his mouth around it, sending his fangs deep into my arm. I flinched and yelped in pain and I struggled and began to try and push him away with my one free arm. Finally, I reached my arm back and formed it into as a fist and punched the strange man's head as hard as I could, but this didn't even phase him. If anything he just seemed annoyed by it. He stopped drinking from my arm and slowly looked up at me, an anger growing in his eyes.

"Oh miss.." he chuckled casually. "For that, I'll see to it that you never again see the light of day."

The next thing I knew the man reached for my head and put some sort of rag over my mouth and nose. "Chloroform.. hes trying to kidnap me!" I thought to myself. I kicked and struggled and rammed my head back into his chest, but it did absolutely nothing and in no time at all, I had blacked out.

"Don't worry, this'll all be over soon.. just relax and try to enjoy it, okay?"

My eyes snapped open and I jolted upward as his voice echoed in my ears. "What was I.. what? Where am I?" I asked aloud as I slowly scanned around to see where I was. It was very difficult to piece it all together as it was so dark and my eyes still hadn't adjusted yet, but it seemed as if I were in a cage of some sort..? I squinted and walked forward as I felt around and stumbled into the bars of the cage. I grabbed ahold of them and began to shake them violently as I began to panic.

"No.. no! This can't be happening! Help!! Someone help me!"

I cried out as I shook the cage bars even harder. Behind me, I began to hear light shuffling and looked over to see a woman rise up from a pile of old rags. Her hair was long and stringy and was coated in a layer of grease. Her face pale and thin was covered in a thin layer of dirt, almost as of she hadn't bathed in months.

"No ones coming to help you. You might as well get comfortable."

Her raspy voice spoke out softly. She rose up from her pile of rags and stretched slowly, it seemed as if she had just woken up. Confused and in a panic, I cried out to her, "Who are you!? Where am I!?"

She simply just shrugged. "It doesn't matter who I am. And you should know where you are, shouldn't you? I mean you agreed to come here after all."

"What!? I never agreed to come here! I was kidnapped! Some guy dragged me here!"

"Oh?" She raised her eyebrow in a mix of surprise and curiosity and this claim. "Kidnapped eh? No ones been abducted since I came here. Wonder whats up you.. hm. Oh well."

The woman walked back over to her bed rags and laid herself back down. "Try to keep it down will you? I need to sleep as much as I can."

She covered her head and seemed to go back to sleep. I was baffled, how could she be so calm in this situation? We were being kept in cages like animals, and she was able to just fall asleep? I couldn't believe it. I shook my head and actually began to look outside the cage as my eyes had finally adjusted. Directly in front of me across the room was another cage which seemed to have three people in it. I thought about calling out to them but I was sure that they would be like the woman in my cage, no help at all. It appeared that we were all in a dark basement of sorts because to the right of my cage was a set of stairs leading up to a door, directly below the stairs seemed to be a work station with tools strewn about haphazardly, all of which were stained red with blood. I couldnt take it anymore, why was I here!? Why were there other people here!? What kind of human trafficking situation had I found myself in!?

"Hey! Hey wake up!" I yelled as I ran over to the sleeping woman. And began to try and shake her awake. "We have to get out of here!" She groaned and pushed me away, not caring at all.

My heart was pounding and my head throbbed as I could feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins. In a panic I began to run around the cage and throw my body against the bars, looking for a give, a crack, anything really. In my panicked and confused state, I must not have heard the door to the basement open because when I threw myself against the bars I found myself face to face with the strange man who had brought me here, a sinister smile spread across his face.
