Chapter 252 - Memories Untouched, But Not Forgotten

Travis continued traveling on the back of Ru has he inspected his Skill list. Despite him looking many times his precious Berserk Skill that had been with him all the time was no where to be found.

Travis leaned back, "It's a loss, but Lumen makes up for it."

'Did something occur?' -Lumen

"I lost something during the transformation. It's a little upsetting, but I haven't suffered total losses."

'That is good then.'

'Ugh, I feel awful.' -Abe

"Oh you're finally talking, are you alright?"

'Feeling like I'm falling apart, but I should be back to normal in a day or two.'

"Rest well then, you deserve it."

'See you later then.'

"Thank you."

Travis looked down and frowned, "Heh, I haven't been gone that long and they are already like this?"

The Guild he had defeated before the incident was patrolling around the dungeon. More members present than before.

'I see what you mean, monopolizing a place like this for themselves. How unsightly.'

"You're about to see how they act."

He patted Ru and teleported right in front of the dungeon. He then drew Lumen, the white blade gleaming, "How nostalgic."

"There you are! You think you're almighty huh?!"

Travis replied plainly, "No, you monopolized something that isn't yours. If you stop these acts we will have no issues."

"Ha! You think because you have a little power we should do as you say?! Apologize now! Else we will set you back to level one!"

"A bit cocky, yeah? You think because you have a little power I should do as you say? I give you one more chance, stop your monopolization and I shall not seek further conflict."

"Hmph! We will see just how powerful this One Man Army Dot is! Kill him!"

Travis sighed, "This is why I hate Guilds."

Whoom-!!

A pressure released and every single one of the players fell dead. Travis raised an eyebrow, "Shouldn't there be some top level experts? Why did they all die?"

'What was that?'

"My War Sight."

'You have a War Sight?!'

"Shouldn't you be aware?"

'I never bothered to search for information like that! What's its name?'

"|Indomitable Pressure|"

'Fitting, it's quite strong isn't it?'

"I am quite pleased with it."

'So, what now?'

"We wait for their inevitable return. This time without the kidnapping."

Akiol yawned, "So I'm next. I'll just end it quickly I suppose, not much I wanna test after all."

'Denied! I have waited patiently all this time! I will not have a few seconds of the spotlight!' -Stars

"Is it really that important? You can have plenty of that during the official thing."

'Nope! Don't end things quickly! Put on a show!'

"But I don't wanna."

'I will not cooperate!'

"I can probably just do this then."

Akiol raised out his hand and mana quickly rushed forward. A tree in the distance was split in half vertically.

'. . .'

Givale suddenly burst out in laughter, "I wonder what expression he has right now!"

Akiol looked over, "Your control is slipping."

Givale panicked and controlled the ambient mana. Once it stopped surging she sighed in relief. She then spoke through the link, 'You keep underestimating him. He doesn't need you to fight.'

Stars sighed, 'I know, but I don't just want to be some sword used for a quick draw. Forever stuck in this scabbard.'

"You wanted it."

'If I didn't have it I would be stuck absorbed! What kind of slime can absorb me?! Isn't that unfair?!'

"You're questioning that now?"

'I always have been!'

Givale frowned, 'Keep quiet will you? I'm trying to focus!'

'You won't be able to focus in battle you know.'

Givale's expression turned worse. Akiol quickly intervened, "Alright alright, Stars isn't wrong. However you haven't reached the realm of control to fully utilize it in battle. So don't bother her Stars."

'Fine. I still demand you not end the fight early.'

"I will consider it."

A figure logged in, scarlet hair flowing in the air. Two axes resting at her hip.

She looked into the sky, "I haven't been on in so long. I almost wanted to quit. But you all, you all wouldn't want that. I'll become incredibly strong, so something like this never happens again."

She teleported with a scroll and walked to a location. As she walked through an entrance she looked up at an extremely tall tower.

"I won't leave this place until I beat the last floor. This will be my final tribute."

With a will stronger than steel she stepped toward the Tower. Placing her hand on the door she soon vanished.

Who knows when she will appear again.

Thunder boomed, the sound muffled through the house walls.

Akiol walked into the bathroom. As the lightning flashed something caught his eye. He turned on the lights and looked closely.

A silver hair strand rested in his black hair.

Akiol chuckled, "James, the stress is finally catching up to you. Don't worry, I'll take it easy for you."

Akiol plucked out the hair and tossed it into the trash.

. . .

He stared at the ceiling, resting on the comfortable mattress of his bed.

His thoughts wandered, until he eventually fell asleep. Following was a dream.

He saw someone, sitting on a rock whilst basking in the setting sun's light.

He walked up to them, his mouth moving but no words were formed.

They looked back, a face so bright of energy. They smiled and asked, "Isn't it beautiful? No matter how far you go, it's always there. A sight available to all."

Once again his mouth moved, but he couldn't hear the words that parted from his lips. Like a part of his memory was tucked away.

"Eh? That's a little. . ."

They looked away, staring back at the almost disappearing sun. Akiol sat next to them and watched it fade away.

After a few moments of silence they finally spoke, "I suppose that's true as well."

Akiol looked over and got a clear look of their face. A cheerful young lady with wavy pink hair. Such face that radiated positive energy. Akiol was familiar with it.

She closed her eyes, seemingly pondering something. Akiol didn't disturb her, merely watching.

She opened them, "Let's head back, we don't wanna worry them all. Yielya would be mad if we were late again."

She stood up and walked off. Akiol raised a hand and wanted to speak. Yet no words came out.

This time it wasn't because he couldn't hear the words.

It was because he couldn't say them.
