Travis placed a box down. He had finally moved his stuff to his new home. It was a fantastic improvement compared to his last one.
He placed his headset on a nearby table. The new update came at a great time. Giving him time to move into his new home without missing too much from not playing the game. However a shadow of worry lingered above his heart.
Update 3.4 had come far earlier than in his past timeline. Even if it was the butterfly effect he was positive he made no grand impact in the game just yet. So why?
Travis sighed, update 3.4 wasn't to be underestimated. Guild's power would skyrocket with the ability to obtain better gear. With the addition of new Occupations the economy would drastically improve. This was also good news to him.
With the addition of shops and new Occupations players will keep more gold on their person. Occupations were expensive to level up. Spending gold leveling them was kin to an investment. With higher leveled occupations they would be able to make higher quality goods, which then could be sold for a lot more. The profits would turn back into leveling the occupation.
This was a near never ending cycle. This also meant it could be profit gaining opportunities. To level their members Occupations the Guilds will funnel money into it. This expenditure will be massive, to help with the costs Guilds will open shops. The shops will sell some of the goods and a similar process will repeat.
This meant the value of gold would also increase for real world cash temporarily. As Guilds purchase funds for their occupational members to boost their levels. Real world business would also jump in on such an opportunity, investing money into Guilds for profits.
That was only part of it. With more NPCs roaming the world players would find more hidden opportunities. Some hidden NPCs could be considered monsters, never to be messed with. However some of these will be willing to take in disciples. Meaning an increase of general skill level.
It would be a huge change for A World's Legacy. However Travis wouldn't be able to take part in it. He had to succeed against the other candidates. Even after that win against whatever came next. Improvement was a must, it required his full attention.

Akiol breathed in a specific pattern, as he tempered his body. The tempering technique wasn't like ordinary body building. It compacted the muscles to remain strong and maintain a slim enough body.
Akiol had reached the max of the body tempering technique's benefits. At this point he would start using mana to refine his mana lines, while increasing his power. However there was no mana on this planet. Most of the natural energy was depleted, unable to be recovered. Even if he were to somehow harvest some natural energy the benefits wouldn't be worth the effort.
So Akiol chose to maintain his current strength. He did have some temporary strength improving techniques, however he believed he would never come across a reason to use them. The backlash would be worse on his body anyway.
Akiol drank a glass of water before skimming the forums. If the announcement kept its word the game should be reopened within the next six hours.

Desk Guy sipped a soda, the update had already been implemented and he was waiting on the servers to accept it. He was in charge of monitoring the progress of the update.
He wasn't too worried, the framework was an ingenious creation by a fellow coworker. It made it extremely easy to add and remove things to the game without things going wrong.
So he browsed the developer wall. Aside from their favorite events, there was another tab meant for general discussion among employees. This allowed them to contact those who were on separate floors with ease.
With their own individual chat rooms meant for different reasons, there was one Desk Guy frequently visited. It was named 'lesser wall' and it was meant for events that were great, but wouldn't make it on the wall.
He scrolled through various video clips and screenshots. He stopped at a particular screenshot. It was a screenshot of the player Two Tries. Besides the basic information there was a particular line that was zoomed in on.
Desk Guy sucked in a cold breath of air. The line stated something worrying. It stated: War Sight (Infant). He couldn't believe it, the strongest player who was suspicious to begin with was developing a War Sight?
War Sights were the pride and joy of a coworker named Darwin. It was something that only he understood even partly. A War Sight was something had truly separated players from best to experts. A War Sight had no determined way to obtain.
There was a few ways to train to try an obtain one, however obtaining one had a few requirements. Darwin stated a few.
First was luck, obtaining a War Sight was slim to begin with. However it wasn't luck based, luck just helped. Second was game experience, the more events and items a player has gone through the higher the chance. Third was skills and stats, these played a part in the obtaining and creation of a War Sight. There was even a hidden fifth way, strong emotion. However the emotion had to be specific, desperation, despair, anger for another, and such. These had the highest chance of awakening a War Sight, yet still wasn't guaranteed.
A War Sight itself was a strange phenomenon. It could and will be anything. It's strength could range from the strangest and most useless to one that could make its user near invincible. That wasn't the limit either, some War Sights could evolve. Meaning a useless one could turn into an indomitable one. Making the user feared.
Darwin himself stated he had no clue how he managed to create such a thing. He doesn't have a faintest clue of the limits of a War Sight. He claims that some NPCs might be able to describe and teach about War Sights better than him.
This means that the strongest player could become even stronger! It was only thanks to the upper four sword in Akiol's hands that they were defeated! A War Sight may very well be the steel reinforcement in Two Tries' position at the top.
Desk Guy sighed, oh how he truly wished to help out the players! Without any evidence that Two Tries' had access to confidential information they would be untouchable. He couldn't give the players a blessing to assist them.
It hit him, blessings. Blessings were far easier to obtain than War Sights. However Blessings' possibilities weren't as endless as a War Sight. Blessings could only be given by Gods. The Gods in-game were limited and every Blessing one gave would be the same. Meaning there was only a few different Blessings. While being the same one could obtain a Gods chosen Blessing. Which would be a far stronger form of the previous one.
Blessings could contend with some War Sights. God's Chosen Blessings could be a worthy contender of almost all War Sights.
This meant hope was not yet lost! If a strong player could obtain a God's Chosen Blessing or a strong War Sight then they could content with Two Tries!
A beeping sound snapped Desk Guy out of his daze. The update was fully implemented in-game with no issues. He sent a message to his superiors and prepared to reopen the game.

The Gods and Goddesses had sent off the Heroes. Harvious, the God of Combat, was relaxing at his house.
The wind shook violently and an individual appeared. It was Cecilia, the Goddess of Healing.
Cecilia called out, "Harvious, we must talk."
Harvious raised an eyebrow, "What is it? Is there more fated individuals already?"
"No, it has to do with the ones we sent off."
Harvious frowned, "Was there an issue?"
Cecilia sighed, "Quite a big one actually. I don't know how they did it, but they managed to anger the other Gods."
In the Heroes' previous world there were good, neutral, and evil gods. They all kept to their responsibilities and followed an unbreakable rule.
Harvious was a good god, even though he was combat. He represented a fair battle of skill, needless bloodshed was an evil god named Vintril, the God of War.
Harvious got up, "What did they do?!"
Cecilia put her hands up to calm Harvious, "They interfered with the world we sent the Heroes to."
"That's not part of the rules! Shouldn't they have been punished?"
Cecilia shook her head, "That's because the neutral ones also acted."
Harvious was shocked, "They angered the neutral gods?"
"I don't think they angered the neutral ones. However they definitely angered the evil ones."
Harvious paced back and forth, "So who acted, and how?"
Cecilia, "The evil ones lack the power to do anything major, if anything they sent a large amount of bad events their way. It's the neutral ones that did something major."
"Who?"
"Favious, and. . . Timeon."
Harvious stopped dead in his tracks, "Them? Why? What did they do?"
"Favious altered the fate of a few individuals who were supposed to die. Timeon. . . he did the major thing."
Favious was the God of the Dead. She was neutral because dying applied to all. She was in charge of those who died and soon will. However this also gave her the ability to change those who will. She couldn't grant immortality, but she could prevent early deaths.
Timeon was the strongest of the neutral gods. His strength easily rivaled the strongest of the good and evil faction as well. However he mostly kept to himself.
Timeon was the God of Time. The never ending flow of Time gives him never ending strength. His true neutrality gained the respect of the other gods.
Harvious clenched his fist, "What did he do?"
"He altered the timeline of the world the Heroes are going to."
Harvious calmed, "That's not too bad, why did you make it such a big deal?"
Cecilia shook her head, "You don't understand. He moved the consciousness of an individual three years back. The same time period the Heroes are being sent to."
Harvious was thoroughly stunned, sending the consciousness of someone back many years back was a heavy taboo. It would give that individual countless benefits, however unless he did it for the entire planet it was banned.
"Why. . . why would he go so far?"
