One month later
Esther is walking to and fro, feeling nervous. Who wouldn't be on their big day? Yes! Esther and Oliver are getting married today. She is in the bride's room with Emily.
"Stop it Esther! It's not like you are going for a war. You just have to march forward and say 'yes ,I do!' when the priest ask you! And there are not even many people here!"
"You are saying this because you are not the bride! What if I fall down while walking with that heels on? What if…"
"Stop it! Calm down! Nothing is gonna happen! After all you are gonna marry your prince charming today!" Emily teased her and Esther's face turned as red as a tomato.
"Someone is blushing!"Emily continued teasing her and she hit playfully on Emily's arm.
Then someone knocked on the door and Emily opened the door. It is Sara! She ran in and hugged Esther tightly. Emily was a bit shocked seeing Sara like this. Emily was also a victim of Sara's bullying. She knew about Sara apologizing and all, but was still shocked.
Sara broke the hug and said"you look beautiful, Sis-in-law!"
"Thank you…umm sis-in-law " Esther felt shy, hearing her call sis-in-law.
Then Sara noticed Emily. There was an awkward silence for a few seconds.
"Sorry!" Sara whispered, bowing her head in shame.
Emily hugged her, which shocked Sara a bit and said
"It's Ok!"
"Thank you" Sara whispered.
"But don't you dare mistreat my Esther, Ok?"
"Mm!" she nodded.
They all sat down and started chit-chatting. At this time Mrs. Smith came in and said"It's time to go!" Emily and Sara helped Esther wear her shoes. She stoop up and Emily gave her a bouquet of baby's breath.
Esther closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Mr. Smith stood beside her and held her hand. He smiled at her, giving her confidence. At this moment she thought about her mom. She is missing her mom on her big day. A tear escaped her eye.
She wiped her tears and smiled. It was a smile that came from her heart. She is really happy and excited to become Mrs. Esther Oliver Smith.
The door slowly opened and Esther walked out holding Mr. Smith's hand There were only around 20-25 guests who were close family and friends. Everyone's attention was fully on her. But her eyes were fixed on one person. Her fiance, her husband to be in a few minutes..Oliver! He looked dashing as always in his white tuxedo.
Esther is happy, nervous , excited and shy at the same time. Finally, she reached the end of the aisle. Mr. Smith placed her hand on Oliver's hand and they both smiled. They stood facing each other. Esther's hands were sweaty and Oliver understood that she is nervous.( He is also nervous.) He smiled brightly looking at her and slightly squeezed her hands, making her confident.
They exchanged vows and rings.
'Right from this moment, with god's grace and ordinance, I declare you as husband and wife. Now you may kiss the bride' the priest said.
Oliver slowly lifted the veil which was covering her face. She cupped her face in his hands and lightly pecked on her lips. Everyone present there cheered on for the newly wedded couple. Oliver looked right into her eyes and smiled from ear to ear. Esther also did the same.
" Hi, Mrs. Esther Oliver Smith" Oliver whispered near her ears.
"Hello, my hubby!"
