In the vast cosmos, there was a small planet where diverse beings lived, its residents were those that practiced mystic ways to strengthen their bodies and souls. These beings embarked on a journey to their peak. The only goal they had in mind was to be the strongest.
Inside the realm of Daishi, many resilient races were at war with each other.
Yet some were not favored by the mana of the world. These races were weak at birth, thus unable to cultivate and therefore considered mediocre.
The most brutal of parents would directly kill such people to spare themselves from embarrassment. Some chose to abandon them, while others still had the sanity to know that blood runs thicker than water but treated them poorly.
In the realm of Daishi, the mighty rule over the weak, and those without strength are frowned upon. Meanwhile, the powerful are worshipped and beheld in awe.

In a widespread and lush forest, there was a cave where the sounds of a wailing child broke the silence of the usual quiet night. An abandoned child named Lazarus was now screaming, desperate for food.
He eased out his basket and slowly crawled outside, where he stumbled upon a corpse. His mouth drooled over the delicious scent it gave off.
Without hesitation, he licked it. His face brightened, and he eagerly sucked on the most aromatic parts.
When he finished, he was satisfied as he was able to fill his stomach after suffering from hunger for days. Lazarus was in a coma for one to two months after his family abandoned him. When he woke up, he was left starving as no one fed him.
For some reason, after drinking from the corpse, he felt invigorated, and there was a rapid increase in his five senses. His eyesight heightened, the body could see the red-eyed bats with fangs that glistened with poison. The bats grazed at his crimson eyes and felt their blood boil.
They instantly exploded, splattered ruptured parts and liquid grotesquely on the ground.
However, he hadn't realized what had happened, as the only thing in his mind was blood. His stomach craved for more.
All of a sudden, the blood from the red-eyed bats were flowing towards Lazarus's left hand. A bright light started radiating from his hand, sucking all that was coming from the cave.
He caught a glimpse of a shadow that emitted a dark essence, standing at the entrance of the cave. Lazarus looked back and saw a beast with sharp claws. The aura coming from the creature showed that of a fierce predator.
As the beast lunged at him, something unpredictable happened.
