"What are you doing, Meraki?" Kefi asked as I threw everything from my bed onto the floor.
"Searching," I said as we heard a clink. There on the floor, was the little metal charm. "There we go."
I picked it up and walked to my closet, opening like Jude did only a couple of minutes ago. Taking the box out, I carried it to my bed and inspected it.
"Shake it first. If your heart is in there, we should be more prepared." Kefi said, looking at the box.
Picking it up as I sat on the bed, I shook it. We could hear something in there but it doesn't sound squishy or anything like that.
Just then, a strange sensation overtook me and I braced myself as Kefi separated from my body.
"Kefi ... warn me next time. Please." I said, groaning as I leaned over the box.
"Sorry. I was too panicked." She said, shrugging. "You can open now."
