The skewer paused just as it was about to touch me, Lake's hands were on the man's, eyes glowing purple as he frowned at him.
"Now, now. Is that any way to be treating a lady?" He asked, eyes devoid of emotion as his voice sounded like he is mocking him.
"I-Impossible. You shouldn't be able to move." The man said, dropping the skewer as the other three sat up, Ruben helping Caris who really got affected by the smell.
With a quick spell, he was ok.
"You underestimated us a little too much. I am offended." Adan said, looking at the man as he snapped his fingers and the transmutations they kept on the clothes fell off. "Try to do a little better."
"Kefi," I said, followed by a sharp stinging pain at the back of my neck. I shot up almost instantly, gasping for air. Stroking the back of my neck, groaned, "Ouch. What on earth?"
"Sorry. I had to bite you as a kind of anti-venom."
