Synopsis
[Daily Update 9 AM PST] When Seraphim 'Seira' Swanson, a naturally unlucky girl, goes back home for summer vacation to resolve her identity crisis, she unknowingly steps foot in a dangerous situation triggered forth by the name of Scott Kaneko. Scott, being the son of a famous movie star and rising popstar, feels the burden put on his shoulders and tries to break away from his suffocating lifestyle. Meeting Seira was a game changer. First and most important of all, she doesn't even recognize him! Second, she's recklesly funny. And third, she's annoyingly cute and genuine. Well, besides the fact that she's concealing her true identity. But who could blame her when she's talking to a stranger that manages to dodge every question that counts and conceals his personal life including his name, which was supposedly public information. As they grow closer, they'll find out the truth about their lives and uncover the secrets buried by those around them. The arguments aren't even the least of their worries, not when a serial killer is on the loose and taking away faces.

Chapter 1 - 01 | Mistaken Identity

Let me tell you this, if you're ever stuck in an airport for some time waiting for your driver, don't ever, I mean EVER leave the spot where your driver is supposed to pick you up, because you'll just make your life harder.

Seira

*Two hours before the incident*

Ding ding ding ding.

"Attention passengers this is your captain speaking, please get ready as the plane will land soon." The captain tiredly said. "Thank you for flying with Air360, guaranteed to always bring you home."

Finally! My feet were starting to get restless and numb from all the sitting and I can't wait to set foot in solid land again.

I'm going home for summer break and I'm thankful for summer except for the intense heat.

My stomach growled, distracting me from my moment and decided to ignore it for the time being, considering the fact that we will be landing soon and the food available inside the plane is unreasonably expensive.

I am finally going home after a year of studying in another state and living with my dad's sister.

I touched my left hand and raised the sleeve of my jacket to reveal the bracelet underneath and inspected the words carved on its silver square pendant. Mary.

Stifling a yawn, I stretched my arms out until it can't reach no more and moved my legs to stretch them as I can with the space I got on my chair.

I adjusted my flannel shirt and checked the view outside the window again.

Hell, I didn't know we were on the airport already!

I forced my legs to stand up after hours of sitting and went to pick up my baggage.

"Grrrr," my stomach growled. Damn, I can't wait to eat real food.

I continued to walk until I was outside the airport and I surveyed the area looking for the driver my dad sent me but to no avail, I simply could not pinpoint a man wearing a sailor uniform from my dad's company.

Why is it a sailor uniform? Well, let's just say that my dad is one of the greatest mysteries of the world. Exaggeration intended.

Grabbing my phone from my pocket, I dialed my driver's number and waited for him to pick up.

I held my hair in frustration. If the reason my driver ain't here yet was the traffic, well, I'm damned.

My stomach growled again.

I surveyed the area to look for any store that could possibly sell food and my eyes focused on a familiar sign.

McDonald's. I plopped my Yankees cap on top of my brown hair and before I could step one foot on the pedestrian lane, my phone buzzed.

"Hello?" I greeted. "Who is this please?"

"This is Death coming for your soul."

I raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? Might take you awhile before you can harvest my soul though, I'm going to McDonald's and Ben's probably in a ditch somewhere, I hope not though," I jokingly replied.

The voice laughed in a masculine husky tone that tells me that I am talking to a male. "Yep, definitely not the wrong number," he admitted, obviously amused.

I grinned. "What? You thought I was one of the many digits in your phone?" I rolled my eyes.

"Nah, I may have a lot of digits on my phone but I never dial the wrong number," he said.

"I almost forgot that you were such an attention seeker," I joked.

The guy on the other side of the wire exaggeratedly gasped. "How dare you say such a thing?"

"It's for networking purposes! It's not my fault I'm such a good to-be businessman! " he defended.

I rolled my eyes, "Yeah yeah, now hang up. I need to eat."

"Anyway, I'm sorry I can't come and get you, my dad won't let me get off this meeting and I am lucky he at least let me call you out..." his voice was interrupted by a man's voice, probably his dad, "Seira, my dad's calling me inside, I'll talk to you later bye," he rushed and stopped the call.

My best friend, Leonardo Conway is the son of Henry Conway of Oblivion Advertisement and Production Company which was involved in my father's business' rise to popularity.

My father used to bring me or my sister Georgia to Mr. Conway's company while he does some business and while Leo and Georgia are the same age, he became close to me and not her because--you know what? I really don't know why. Remind me to ask him.

I put my phone back in my pocket and walk with my baggage through the pedestrian lane until someone almost knocked me over and casually rested their arm on my shoulders.

Knowing the exact owner of the arm, I nonchalantly greeted him,"Okay Leo, ha ha you fooled me...."my voice trailed off as I saw the face of the person beside me.

"Hey?" he responded, unsure of what to reply.

I shoved him away from me because the person I thought was Leo is NOT Leo.
