Xuanwu.
What a nostalgic name.
In modern Earth, Xuanwu is known to be one of the high-ranking deities of Chinese Mythology. They even have an origin story for him that varies from place to place.
One thing to note is that many believe that he truly once existed. Just like most of the Taoist Deities or Jesus of the Bible.
There are legends written about him, stories that cemented those legends, and shrines that continue to worship him.
However, that Xuanwu from the myth shouldn't be related to the Xuanwu in my head.
