Ella smiled politely at Gajeel as she tried to force him off of her couch.
"It's nice that you came to visit me but I was on my way to bed when you knocked metal head." Ella stated when Gajeel finally stood from the couch, he looked down at Ella who just smiled innocently.
"Did you just call me metal head?" he asked ignoring the rest of Ella's statement, Ella grinned and gave him a little nod.
"Fine Snowball, I'll go but one of these days you and I are going to have to hang out." Gajeel said as he headed to the door and turned around almost running into Ella.
"It was good seeing you Ell." Gajeel said shocking Ella by pulling her in for a quick awkward hug before leaving out the front door, now Ella was finally going to go to bed. As she finally settled into bed, her phone rang with a message from Gray.
"Can't wait to see you tomorrow." Ella read it to her self before falling asleep with a smile on her face.
Ella woke up with a smile plastered to her face, today her and Gray would be going on a mission together and she didn't care how she had to do it; Ella would find a way to go on this mission alone with him. Ella didn't know what kind of mission Gray would pick but she didn't let that phase her, she decided that she would look her best but ready to fight none the less. Gray stood nervously at the door, he wasn't sure why he was nervous; he'd known Ella for pretty much his whole life but of course now their roles together had changed, sure they were best friends and he hoped they always would ne but now they had both admitted the truth to each other and though they were taking things slow; they were together and that's how he had wanted things to be when they were younger and he was overjoyed that, that's how things were now.
Ella looked herself over in the mirror, pleased by what she saw. She had decided to keep things simple wearing black warm up pants, a black sports bra and a cotton T-shirt; she usually lost her shirt in the heat of battle and though Gray stripped pretty much most of the time, she was classy and never let anyone see her totally nude, she completed her look by tying her long red hair up in a high pony tail. Gray knocked on the door and when Ella opened it he let out a sigh of relief when he realized that she had dressed as comfortably as he had. Ella grinned at Gray and let him in, Gray walked in and shyly kissed her cheek before he sat on her couch waving a mission flyer in the air.
"I thought this would get me back into practice, the reward ain't to bad either." Gray said triumphantly when Ella sat down beside him on her little couch.
The flyer was pretty simple, all her and Gray had to do was fight a few low level monsters and a gang of thugs and after they succeeded they would be awarded 2 million jewel, Ella grinned at the flyer; this job was perfect for them and she loved to fight.
"Well Gray I'm ready when you are, just say when." she said patting her always ready mission pack, Gray grinned back at her and pointed to his own bag that he had set beside her door when he walked in.
"Mira already okayed us to go." he said helping her up off the couch, she grabbed her bag and they left to the train station where Gray had to fight her to get on the train but once they had sat down, she laid her head down on his lap and the knot in her stomach just floated away.
TIME SKIP TO FIGHT!!
Gray and Ella were back to back rain beating down on them, Ella looked over her shoulder at Gray who looked back at her, her eyes changing from forest green to ice blue and little blue scales started to appear on her arms and the rest of her body.
"Gray do you trust me?" she asked Gray gave her a soft nod, satisfied with his answer; Ella reached back and took his hand. Gray took a deep as Ella let out a huge burst of ice around them causing the monsters around them to be pushed back; Gray squeezed her hand before he released it.
"Ice Make Cannon!" was all Ella heard before she saw Gray shoot the remaining monsters with a volley of ice. Finally able to relax, Ella and Gray fell to the ground back to back once again. Gray turned around in time to catch Ella before she could tumble over on the ground, she had used a lot of magic; neither of them had thought about how many monsters and thugs they would have to actually fight.
Ella woke up on her bed beside Gray who was half sitting beside her asleep. Ella admired Gray's sleeping form until he jolted awake and looked over at Ella and grinned down at her when he realized she was looking up at him.
"How are you feeling Ell?" he asked brushing a piece of her long red hair out of her face, Ella smiled as she sat up on her knees in front of him.
"I'm great, I haven't had a fight like that in a while." she said secretly eyeing Gray, a small pink blush covering her cheeks; Gray followed her gaze and blushed guessing the direction of her thoughts. Ella looked up and smiled shyly as she inched her face closer to his and kissed him sweetly but briefly, Ella squeaked in shock when Gray pulled her back to him and kissed her softly at first then as time seemed to slow around them; their kiss began to go from slow and sweet to deep and full of passion.
When Gray and Ella pulled apart to breath, they were both blushing at the position that they were sitting in; Ella had scooted onto Gray's lap and was now straddling him. Gray laughed as he held Ella close, he had wanted to do this ever since Ella had come back into his life; Ella blushed as soon as she noticed his dark blue eyes tracing every inch of her body, when he realized he had been caught; Gray also looked away and blushed.
"I uh heh sorry Ella." Gray sputtered out before Ella pulled the collar of his shirt and kissed him once again, Gray of course didn't argue he was all to happy to be making out with the girl he had been in love with his whole life; he was happy to be with her in this precise moment. Ella was the first to pull back this time, the blush on her cheeks spreading; her voice broke as she chose her next set of words carefully,
"Gray, I love you I always have." Gray was at a loss for words, he had waited so long to hear her say those words and now here she was lying beneath him blushing and offering to show her love for him.
