The army soon arrived at the capital where the House of Morningstar resided, the Venus Kingdom. The Venus Kingdom was one of the only two cities that resided in the land of Morningstar which held the biggest population in the land.
The kingdom was energetic at this time of day as the streets filled with citizens and traders alike. The sounds of children playing and people talking would make any person smile.
The kingdom was split into two main divisions, the outskirts and the prosperous. The outskirts of the kingdom were seen as a place for most of the residents and shopkeepers to stay while the prosperous was where the royalty and high-class people stayed.
The army marched their way past the outskirts and entered the area of the prosperous. The area was much different from the outskirts as many guards were patrolling the area.
After a while of riding, the carriage in which Lucy and Zomarus were staying diverged from the army. Their carriage was headed towards the huge castle that resided in the middle of the kingdom.
Before arriving Lucy turned to Zomarus and grabbed his ear. "Let me make this clear. When we enter the castle you are not to touch anything, talk to anyone, and god forbid you start a fight. Just promise me you won't do anything stupid."
Zomarus could tell Lucy was being serious as he nodded his head.
The carriage door opened and a group of guards started to escort the two inside. The castle was extremely beautiful and had a magical atmosphere to it.
They were both led to an enormous room that held a throne large enough for a giant. On the throne sat a young man no older than Zomarus. His look was furious and his presence alone could put anyone to their knees.
The young man stood in front of his throne and looked around at the many guards and maids who stood at attention.
"Please excuse us. I would like to talk to my sister alone."
Everyone started to leave and left the three of them alone.
Zomarus looked around and started to fit the puzzle pieces together. Lucy's surname was Morningstar and the house of Morningstar is one of the five heavenly houses. Lucy was the princess of the House of Morningstar, and now he was getting married to her?
Zomarus stood a couple of feet away from the princess and tried not to get involved. However, it was too late.
"Did I not make myself clear? It means me and my sister… alone!" The young lord's voice echoed the room with frustration.
Before Zomarus could leave Lucy held her hand up to stop him. "He's not going anywhere. If I stay, he stays."
The two siblings locked eyes which held anger for each other. The two seemed like two beasts fighting for their next prey.
"And why is that? Look at him, did you find him in the woods? His clothes look worse than the homeless who stay in the outskirts."
Lucy's next words would be full of hesitation. "He-He's my fiancé."
These three simple words seemed to anger the young lord as he reached in front of her and slapped her.
"What the hell do you think you're saying? Do you wish to openly rebel against the House of Morningstar?"
His tone was heavy as he looked down at his own sister. Lucy couldn't say anything back to him as she looked at the ground.
"Too scared to talk back? And here I thought you were starting to mature." The lord grabbed her hair and made her look up at him. "You will marry the third prince of the Supreme House and this is final."
Before the young lord could pull on her hair even more, his hand was stopped. The person who had stopped the young lord was none other than Zomarus.
"No one is allowed to talk to my future wife like that." Zomarus looked down at the young lord as his stature was quite high.
"Who dares grab the hand of Malfoy Morningstar, the next heir to the throne." From there Malfoy looked at Zomarus and punished him clean on his jaw.
Zomarus didn't move an inch as it was one of the weakest punches he's ever endured. "I guess what they say is true. Morningstar is truly the weakest house of them all." Zomarus could only look back at him with a sinister smile on his face.
"Not only do you dare to disrespect me, but also the house that I was born in." Then Malfoy could only laugh at Zomarus. He now had a brilliant plan to make sure Zomarus would die.
"If you love my sister then it can be said that you would fight for her?" Zomarus nodded and Malfoy continued.
"Every ten years the Supreme House holds a tournament for the four major houses. Every tournament that has ever been held has seen the House of Morningstar come in last. If you can somehow make House of Morningstar the strongest I will let my sister marry you… But if you fail, it's your life."
Lucy grabbed Zomarus' shirt and pulled on it. "No, don't do it."
Zomarus completely ignored Lucy and shook Malfoy's hand. "Don't think I'll back down from an easy bet."
Zomarus grabbed Lucy's hand and they both left the enormous room. Once the two left, Malfoy could only stand there and laugh. The laugh was straight out of a villain in old stories.
A guard entered the room and Malfoy spoke to him. "I want that boy to suffer." The guard nodded as a smile came across Malfoy's face.
Once Lucy and Zomarus were far enough away from the young lord Lucy looked at Zomarus and pulled her hand away.
"Idiot. What do you think you're doing? Even if you're strong it doesn't mean you can beat the other three houses." Lucy even let out a tear or two as she started to bang on his chest. "I'll marry the stupid prince. I just don't want to bring you into my problems anymore."
Zomarus looked back at her and held her cheek in his hand. "Don't worry. Let's just call ourselves even, without you I probably would have stayed in that forest for the rest of my life." He pulled back and walked off.
"Well, are you coming? I don't exactly know my way around the castle." Zomarus laughed and looked around the huge castle.
Lucy giggled as she grabbed a hold of Zomarus' arm and led him towards a room in the back of the castle. The room was quite nice and beautiful.
In the room was a picture frame of a young girl and her parents. The girl had short red hair just like her mother and was as strong as her father. "Lucy, is this y-"
Before Zomarus could finish his question he felt a round soft object push up against him. He tried to turn around but Lucy stopped him.
"Don't look. I'm not ready yet." Lucy pushed up against his back and felt his heartbeat. "I'm sorry, I'm a terrible person. When I saw how strong you were in the forest I knew you were the perfect person to place the blame upon. However, now I can't get the feeling of guilt out of me."
Zomarus couldn't really focus while she was pressed up against him. "It's fine. I understand you were put in a difficult situation. A lot of people would have done what you did."
"Ple-Please let me say sorry." Lucy turned Zomarus around and revealed herself to him. She wore nothing but a robe and looked absolutely stunning.
Zomarus took a quick peek before closing his eyes and looking away. "Lucy isn't this too much? You should only do it with someone you love."
"It's fine, plus you are my husband to be." Lucy pulled Zomarus close and began to kiss him.
Zomarus on the other hand tried to push her away. "We shouldn't be doing this. I think you need some time for yourself."
Zomarus backed away and left the room for Lucy to be alone.
