The lunchroom was normally empty, but this time it seemed to be pretty packed. Gods normally did not have to eat food like humans. Humans needed to eat food to survive, but gods only ate to grow their spiritual energy.
The cafeteria only served two items every day, nectar and ambrosia. Gods normally have ambrosia and drink nectar with it, but many didn't. They would use the time to chat and hang out with friends.
Zomarus was an exception of course. Unlike gods, Zomarus feels hunger and gets thirsty, and that meant that he had to eat in the cafeteria every day. Every day for the last fourteen years he would eat the same things, never switching it up since he couldn't.
"Mhm, I haven't eaten anything in a long time. Normally I train when lunch comes around, but now I understand why you eat every day it fills my stomach with happiness." Tura explained to Zomarus as she took small bites of ambrosia.
Zomarus chuckled a little as he started to poke his food, "I'm glad someone likes this." He said with a frown on his face.
"Have you ever wondered what meat tastes like?"
Zomarus asked as he started to drool just thinking about the tasty meat.
"You know us gods can't eat living creatures. We're here to protect those who can not protect themselves. That means even the smallest of animals." Tura said as she took another large bite of ambrosia.
"Exactly, I'm human so it's fine at the end of the day. Remember when we had a nutritional class, humans needed to eat a lot to develop. Since I was born I've eaten nothing but nectar and ambrosia, so that means I can't grow stronger without meat." Zomarus started to flex on Tura to show her that he was weak.
Tura reached out her hand towards Zomarus' bicep and began to squeeze it.
"What are you talking about? You have a lot more muscle than some gods in the class. You really are impressive."
After a while of squeezing his bicep, Tura noticed how inappropriate she was being and quickly removed her hand with a small blush. "Sorry."
Immediately after that Zomarus began to laugh out loud and teased her. "Don't worry as long as it's you I'll let you touch it." Another chuckle came from Zomarus as well as a huge smile.
"How about this weekend we hang out? Maybe even go hunting for some meat."
Zomarus gave Tura an innocent wink and began to laugh once more. Tura turned her head away from his and tried to calm herself down. Her heart was beating quickly, but she didn't know why. Was Zomarus the reason why she was like this? What did it mean for her?
"Sure. We can hang out this weekend but we're not going hunting, maybe we could go to the forest and train. I heard there's a spot where many of the upperclassmen go to train." An innocent giggle ended the sentence as she placed her head on his shoulder.
Many students watching wanted to speak their minds. "Why are they so lovey-dovey at school? Hopefully, that kid knows that Tura already has a fiancé."
"Yeah, I heard her fiancé is the next heir to the House of Life. You wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of that guy". Many talks came from the cafeteria where they could see the two being friendly with one another.
The time had come for all the students to return to their classes and Tura and Zomarus seemed to be arm and arm as they entered their classroom.
Zomarus didn't seem to faze about the fact that one of his arms held a school beauty. He thought she was being very friendly with him and nothing else.
As soon as the young man returned to his desk he noticed that his pot was missing. He looked around and noticed everyone's pots still on top of their desk. Where could have it gone he thought to himself as he simply sat down.
Eventually, everyone returned to the lecture hall, and Sister Ione continued her lesson for the day and everything went smoothly for the rest of the school day.
Classes finished and the first to leave was Iva and right behind her was Lurtar of course.
Tura was the next to leave but before she did she stopped in front of the door and looked at Zomarus.
"Don't forget we're meeting in the town square tomorrow." Tura gave a small smile as she made her way out of the lecture hall.
After that everyone made their way out of the classroom and to their dorms for the night.
~~~~~
Differing from everyone else Iva didn't go back to her dorm room but towards the teacher's room. Once inside the room, she bowed and looked at the powerful man sitting in one of the desks.
"Dad I've got something here that you need to see."
From her empty hands, a pot magically appeared in front of her instantly.
Iva obtained a godly item that allowed a user to use their soul as a sort of storage room. These people could easily place items in their soul and easily make it appear from nothing. These items are found with ease but what makes them godly is their function to hold as many items as their souls could absorb. This godly item could be as simple as a ring or an earring that they can carry with ease.
Iva had the godly item, but hers was a necklace that her mother gave her when she was quite young.
"I haven't seen one of these pots since I was in the academy myself. I still remember the day I met your mother, she was so impressed with my power she had to marry me."
While remembering the past the powerful man coughed with embarrassment.
"I'm sorry sweetie I was just reminiscing. Is this your pot? Its spiritual energy is almost as strong as mine was when I was your age, but where's the flower? With this much spiritual energy, a flower should have blossomed." The man stood up and walked towards his daughter and the pot.
"The seed did sprout, but not into a flower but something more complex. It seems like the seed started to grow complex roots that resemble that of a small tree. With a little more time I'm scared to know what could have been."
Iva explained to her father as she dung up some of the soil to see. Laughs came out of the powerful man as he pulled his daughter into a hug.
"I'm so proud of you. Of course, only my daughter could create something this complex. I and your mother could only blossom large flowers, but you already passed us when we were our age." He continued to laugh as he took the pot to examine it.
"This pot isn't mine. It's one of my classmates. I took it while everyone was out of the classroom."
Iva looked down since her father a minute ago was just giving her credit for creating something that complicated.
"Who was it? Who was it that could create something this powerful? Was it the son of death? His power was amazing when he was battling, but I didn't expect anything like this."
He started to look at the roots that connected the pot and started to wonder who had made it.
"It was Zomarus. The human boy was the one that created it. None of the students could sense the energy coming out of it, but I could. And it would be silly if the boy himself didn't know what he made." Iva was still looking down as she remembered how everyone in the class was laughing at him.
"Interesting, I would have never thought that the human would have made this. Then again I never thought something like this could happen. I guess life has a weird way of making things happen."
Without saying anything else he placed the pot in his soul space and walked towards his daughter. A big smile came across his face as he escorted his daughter out of the room.
"You should get some rest. Tomorrow's the weekend, maybe you should head out and do something fun. I'll stay here and ask around to see if anyone has any information about this happening, and while I do that, enjoy yourself. Just don't get into any trouble."
As his daughter left him the powerful man looked around the countless amount of books he had laying around to find something. His search would go all night and lead to the morning not finding any records of this happening in the history of the academy.
