Chapter 1 - Entry one

There was a time I considered myself human. A time where I had assumed humans themselves to be innately good.. But that was in the past after all.

After the truth was revealed the true characters of all of our species was revealed.

Some panicked, some cried, some prayed, some.. preyed.

As for myself, I just stopped doing anything. I locked myself away into my room in an attempt to shield my mental state from the trauma that had just appeared. My mental walls internally shaking, crumbling. Like an ancient wall that had been assigned the trial to withstand the tests of time, my mind was broken eventually.

But what is broken can be repaired. What is repaired can be upgraded.. what can be upgraded could be.. understood.

Now if you're reading this and are oblivious to the truth that I have mentioned, then you're lucky.

In an era where all of humanity looked for god, where all of humanity had finally found peace due to this, the appearance of their so-called god on planet earth was a ground shaking event akin to an earthquake.

The only problem.. their god was different than they had imagine initially.

The texts they had been reading all their lives that stated god as peaceful, as a creator, as beautiful, were now proved false.

Then a sudden realization swept across humanity, a sudden realization that created chaos and inflicted pain upon many.

God was just one of many of "it's" species.

Hundreds of crystals began to fall from the sky as reality itself has seemingly been destroyed at a singular spot. This wasn't a one-off occurrence, it happened hundreds of times around the world.

What happened next was truly laughable.

Slimy substance rained down upon the world as men who looked like their gods jumped out of the holes in reality. Then.. their skin cracked and revealed their true self.. Disgusting Insects.. Hundreds of them buzzing throughout the sky, looking for food, and a nesting area.

Humanity attempted an array of different things to gain control of the shocking situation. But it was all for naught.

The insects assimilated their victim's bodies. Gaining entrance by the mouth and crawling into the body of the human, it dug its antennas into the brain, gaining control of them.

Like this they killed off Humanity by a large margin, then eventually they would search for survivors. Using the voice and appearance of their friends, family members, and children. They even used memories that the brain contained in an attempt to get the survivors out of their homes.

For some reason the insects were incapable of entering the houses of anyone. Well, we assumed at least. If they were able to they would have killed us already.

Now skip 6 months and here we are, I have just drank my last bottle of water and I sit here on the edge of my bed, on drugs. Now, I know it's stupid but it's the end of the world, I may as well enjoy it.

Sigh.. I never even got to live my life. Right after I graduate from college I have to deal with the appearance of false gods and then the extermination of humanity. How unlucky.

What happened in those 6 months.. I don't really wish to write about. Needless to say, I have been mentally reforged from the sights and terrors I have heard and witnessed outside of my windows.

Frequently these insects leave behind a sack of flesh from their previous hosts, what can be heard from these sacks is the moans and groans of the permanently alive human.

It's truly sickening.
