Chapter 25 - Chapter 25

Ring. Ring. Ring.

I groped for my phone on my bedside table but there wasn't any table so with my eyes closed, I lazily turned only to be surprised by a beautiful sight--- Helena. She's sleeping beside me. Flashes of a steamy night popped in my head, making me smile.

I looked around, searching for my phone and an unfamiliar room welcomed me. I realized that I wasn't in my room but in a hotel where we spent the night together. I turned off my alarm. Then, I gazed at her angelic face. Some loose bangs covered her face so I slowly tucked them behind her ear. She moaned when my hands touched her skin.

"What time is it?" she murmured as she pulled the blanket, covering her head. I chuckled.

"It's 5 o'clock," I replied. I pulled her naked body closer to me. I felt that hunger again.

"You're a beast, Brad," Helena smilingly said. I was sure that she felt it, too.

"Maybe, we can have our breakfast on the bed," I whispered. She giggled when I claimed her lips and my hands navigated through her body. As our kiss deepened, my phone rang. I tried to ignore it but it kept ringing. So, without even masking the irritation in my voice, I answered the call. I didn't bother looking who the caller was.

"What?!" I grunted.

"Good morning, Brad. Sorry for disturbing your sleep but aren't you coming home for breakfast?" my mom said calmly.

"Good morning, mom. Sorry for yelling," I apologized. I turned to Helena, who was staring at me. "I will. I might be bringing someone with me."

Helena suddenly woke up with a questioning look on her face. I smiled at her. Even mom at the other end was surprised. I could hear it from her tone when she spoke. "Are you talking about a woman?" she asked gleefully.

I laughed at her question but I didn't answer it. "Bye, mom. See you later," I replied before ending the call.

"What was that?" Helena asked as soon as I ended the call.

"What?" I replied, smiling at her.

"Are you saying that you want me to meet your family?" she asked. I nodded.

"Why?" she said.

"Ridiculous question, Helena!" I replied.

"No... I wanna know the answer," she insisted.

"What do you think is the answer?" I challenged her. She kept quiet. I sighed.

"Coz we're ... friends?" she answered. I turned to her harshly.

"What on earth! Friends?!" I exclaimed and with her chin up, she nodded. I harshly exhaled before pulling her to me and turned her around. Now, she's facing away from me. "Right," I said as I cupped one of her breasts. She moaned. I smirked. "How many friends did this to you, hmm?" I whispered. Then, I began planting kisses on her naked shoulders while my free hand kept exploring.

"Brad, please," she moaned.

"Please what?" I replied, teasing her, making her lost her mind. Her breathing became more and more erratic and she began to sweat, giving off the intense heat she's feeling. "What do you want, friend?" I asked sardonically, even emphasizing the word friend.

"Just fuck me already!" she grunted.

"Too soon, my friend," I teased. She tried to turn around to face me with all her might. "No... no. Be good, my friend, or else you'll get nothing today."

"Fuck you, Brad! I hate you," she yelled. "Just... please," she said as she writhed in hunger. I chuckled then I obliged. Then, we took a shower together. I've lost count how many times we traveled to heaven together that morning.

Maybe, I am a beast indeed.

My parents and Sheryl were shocked when I arrived home with Helena. Shocked but undeniably happy.

"Just in time for breakfast," mom said as I went to kiss her cheeks.

After greeting everyone, I introduced Helena, "I want you to meet Helena."

"Helena, these are my loving parents and my naughty sister," I said as she went shaking their hands.

"Please to meet you all," Helena shyly said.

"I remember you from... from that... that horrible time," Sheryl replied. "Yeah, you're that badass who helped the detectives," she added. Helena nodded.

"Oh my gosh! So, you're a real person. I thought you were just a product of my imagination because I haven't seen you since then," my sister gushed. "You're so cool and really pretty!"

We laughed at Sheryl's reaction. She couldn't contain herself hugged Helena tight which she reciprocated.

"Alright, that's enough. Food isn't that good when it's cold," dad said. Sheryl frowned.

My mom looked at me with a proud smile on her face as I pulled Helena's chair and served her food. Helena seemed a little uncomfortable with my gestures because she was not used to this treatment.

"Eat up," I said as Helena stared at the mountain of food on her plate.

Helena looked at my parents and Sheryl shyly then looked at me with confusion in her eyes.

I smiled. "You need strength," I said. She seemed to understand what I meant as her cheeks turned red.

"That's too much, Brad!" my mom commented.

"I am okay," Helena said. Then, she began eating. "Hmmm... this is delicious!"

My dad cleared his throat so I turned to him. There was a 'what are you doing?' look on his face as he stared at Helena's plate.

"She trains hard every day so she needs this amount of food," I told my old man. Helena nodded as she happily ate her meal. After our scrumptious breakfast, we went outside to catch some sunlight.

"Uhm... I'm sorry to ask but are you two a couple?" Sheryl blurted out as we basked under the morning sun. Helena turned to me for help.

"Na... we're just friends," I replied. "Good friends."

Disappointments were on their faces even Helena's smile faded. I knew then that they wanted me to find new love and happiness to fill the void of the darkest abyss in my heart.

"You're unbelievable!" my sister told me. I shrugged.

"Well, if that's the case. At least, I am still delighted to know that you have close female friends," my mom said, stressing the word friends. Dad agreed.

"So, how long have you been "friends"? dad asked Helena.

"Uhm... since high school, but I had to move when I was in university," she answered.

"High school? Why haven't I heard about you?" mom asked.

"Coz I was with Amanda then," I replied. Mom just said "ah" then there was silence. Suddenly, Helena excused herself to answer the call which was a perfect opportunity for a bombardment.

"What are you doing, son? It's so obvious that you like each other," dad asked.

"And fool everyone else but not me. I know that you were with her last night basing on the tone of your voice when I called you," mom added.

"She's perfect for you, kuya," Sheryl said. "Don't you like her?"

"I... I do. I guess. I don't know," I honestly answered.
